Solus Project has been on my backlog for ages, going to try to knock it out this week.
Also Blood Trail will be going EA in March.

Can't wait to shoot off bald tweaker dicks
I like my Vive and I like discussing VR, but why do you autistically make a thread with nearly identical images every hour? It's like you're actually shilling the concept of VR.
At least he's not doing the cringy vrchat webm threads anymore
That looks genuinely disturbing, is there a demo or anything to try out now?
I actually only do one a day. Those others aren't me
If i wanted creepy vrchat shit I would go to /vg/
Yea but look.
boards.fireden.net
Like it's actually unreal how many of these threads he makes. Every time one goes down he immediately brings another up.
Okay i might have gone overboard on the 26th.
These threads are pretty hard to keep alive sometimes, especially if you don't bait
At least he isn't using the Facebookulus Shit as OP image this time
Nope, I'm just glad they announced an actual date. Was worried it was vaporware.
where the FUCK is gen 2
>I actually only do one a day. Those others aren't me
Bullshit. Even if you only reposted once, why even do it at all? Are you trying to make a general on Yea Forums?
No I'm trying to make good discussion that isnt weird vrchat bs that /vg/ has
Room too small, keep punching/backhanding my tower. Its enjoyable. But actually getting into a game is risky in my current setup.
Maybe if the computer was in the garage and maybe with the wifi adapter, itd be better.
Last big update to blade and sorcery made it a little less fun. Or maybe the novelty wore off. Hard to say. That game was the reason i got a VR headset though. Kinda disappointing honestly.
Only VR game I seem to have gotten my moneys worth out of has been H3VR it feels like sitting at 43 hours.
Rift 2 was canceled, everything is on Valve now since HTC is going to slum it with WMR tier
Of these model numbers, which is newer when it comes to the vive?
>99HAHZ031-00
>99HAHZ044-00
>99HALN002-00
Listings online have pictures of the older and newer Vives for all of these so either people are dumb asses or the packaging has incorrect information for some of them. I'm trying to track down which number correlates to the 9 sensor lighthouses and 15% lighter headset.
we could always count on Pimax or whatever the latest shit out of China is
The VR general thread is pretty much strictly VRchat, talk about erp, and clamoring to become popular on their discord server and private rooms. The only actual VR discussion has been happening in these threads.
ah yes, the chinkstarted HMD with dishonestly inflated stats and lots of problems that seeks to innovate by introducing smellovision to VR
No thanks
they listen to feedback very well, and at least they are pushing forward unlike every other company which is turning into mobileshit
M O B I L E
Where Facebook thinks it'll actually make some money (they won't).
Playing the shit out of Blade and Sorcery. I just wish it wasn't a glorified tech demo.
>he tries phone vr bullshit
>its alright
>buy friend vive
>he loves this shit
welp its just the cost after all
Imagine being too brainlet to know how to use VAM
>that seeks to innovate by introducing smellovision to VR
>No thanks
But I don't want to have to just imagine the smell anymore.
Was Facebook buying Oculus a good or bad thing for VR?
The worst, everything people feared from that purchase came to pass
There was a tell-all book released lately that BTFOs Facebook and exonerates Palmer Luckey. Facebook cucks deny it because they're addicted to their AAA 3-hour tech demos though. Little do they know that's going to dry up fast in favor of shit mobile games for the Quest.
bad because now Facebook has a hand in VR
Oculus existing at all was a bad thing for VR, all the big players were already working on headsets for decades but they knew the tech wasn't ready yet but here comes Oculus and now everyone is forced to shit out a headset early lest Oculus become the de facto brand.
Is the Rift good enough?
I know Vive is the patrician choice but it costs a good deal more and I also think the controllers are a lot less comfortable.
I want to pick something up for Audica
That's what I think as well, and thought as soon as the deal was announced, but some people, including Luckey, still maintain it was a good thing. I don't think there's a worse company that could have acquired them. Even Microsoft would have been orders of magnitude better, and I've been praying for the year of the Linux desktop to come since middle school. I think an acquisition was a good thing, because it legitimized the idea in a way and infused some funding, it was just the worst company. And they invested way too much. They've already abandoned PCVR because they've realized it is never going to get them a return, and once the Quest fails and they realize mobile VR is a dead end for widespread adoption, they're probably going to pull out completely, and I think their withdrawal is going to do serious damage.
I've been thinking of getting a Vive pro, but haven't quite managed to justify the purchase yet.
The Rift is one of the most cost efficient bundles because FB is basically subsidizing it. However know that there's no successor planned for it, Oculus is going for the standalone mobile crowd and canceled the Rift 2.
However HTC is a complete fuckup of a company with overpriced shit and the worst controllers.
There's also WMR but inside-out tracking might not be comprehensive enough for you.
Are windows mixed reality headsets good enough for vrchat and stuff? Lenovo explorer is like 250$ in here right now and I'm not ready to sell my kidneys for a Vice or HTC. Anyone here got 1st hand experience?
>Finland: Leave China to me...
VR is shit
t. Rift owner
>They've already abandoned PCVR because they've realized it is never going to get them a return
Eh, they abandoned PCVR because the competition got too fierce. It's obvious their intent was to create THE sole VR marketplace, likely so they could get away with doing their usual nefarious shit once they were too big to fail. But it's starting to get crowded and Steam is still going strong.
>tfw all the options are shit
>when and if things get better (HTC probably won't release a new and improved HMD at a non-retarded price, a non-chink company could enter the PCVR HMD game, Valve might one day release the knuckles and make the vive not shit) my GPU (RX 580 8GB) will be substantially underpowered for VR
>Lenovo explorer is like 250$
and Rift is $300 but you don't need VR to play VRChat not to mention it's a shit "game" anyway filled with furries/trannies/pedos
How do I make friends in vrchat
Yes though the vivelets over in /vrg/ will probably still bully you because of the inside-out tracking.
Is the Odyssey+ still going for $300? That's the only HMD that riftfags/vivefags have trouble shittalking because the screen is so superior.
VR can't go in that hard on hardware, it's difficult enough right now to find people with PCs strong enough to run current VR at its max.
PCVR is going to simmer for a while I think with only moderate improvements though that will also give time for software to catch up. Knuckles should be out this year, maybe within months by my guess.
Like user said earlier, VR was rushed out the door due to Oculus being overenthusiastic. I don't think Valve ever meant to rely on HTC.
>Rift is 300$
It's actually closer to 600$ here
They are basically the same. I would get a Rift because it has Robo Recall which is excellent.
Multiplat games I would probably buy on Steam though, to keep your options open. It's a bit cumbersome to launch steam games through the Oculus home, but if Oculus decides not to release a Rift successor then you don't want to be fucked out of your games for buying a new headset down the road.
yeah well thats what happens when you live in australia, canada or other civilized places
So I've been thinking about buying an Oculus Rift with my tax return.
What are the games/apps that would be most worth it?
Well what worked for me was making the grandpa from rugrats as an avatar getting piss ass drunk on my vive and talking the shit with people at the bar. I occasionally head to that anime school world and chase around people going come to grand-pa, come sit on my lap. My friends list is packed now.
Wait until the Vive Pro Eye releases this year. Then either get that if you want it or see if the price drops a little for the regular pro.
I have a Rift and I love it. Usually play Beat Saber and Superhot, almost done with Don't Knock Twice and Paranormal Activity. Going to start Arizona Sunshine next.
got my rift recently and have been having a good time
>Vive Pro Eye
That's going to cost like a gorillion dollars and the eye tracking will be supported by maybe two or three games.
I'm interested in finding out what the future of Constellation and Lighthouse is given that both companies are going inside-out with their consumer lines.
>They are basically the same.
I remember reading that the Vive has a wider fov and better resolution, but as long as the Rift is passable, I don't think I'd care too much.
Can I use the Rift with Steam VR games, or do I have to go through the Oculus store?
just got my odyssey today and am loving it so far
Played skyrim with the body mod and it's pretty great.
At this point the Rift and Vive are so behind everyone else their screens are effectively the same
What it comes down to is if you want first party access to Oculus exclusives (the third party plugin doesn't work that great) or if you want Vive's slightly superior tracking system that will likely be used for Valve's upcoming Knuckles controllers.
Note that the Rift's touch controllers are very good but probably are not future proof.
Check out MageVR and Dragonborn speaks though they both take a bit of setup/learning.
Star Trek Bridge Crew is a must play
I got mage VR not the other one though
I went to this VR place, it had the most shittiest games ever. I tried playing this zombie shooter but it made you do these boring ass puzzles. Almost every game had endless cut-scenes that you could not skip. I just wanted to shoot something. They had no racing games there. The click-teleport method for in game walking was fucking dumb and unrealistic, it would be better stand in one place and do a stationary jog instead. Paid $100 for an hour, 20 min spent learning how to use it all. Was really shitty experience but a lot of potential to be fun.
I use ps4 for exclusives and play other shit on pc. What kind of vr should i buy? Oculus/vive or ps vr? Ps vr seems much more limited but steam seems to work woth ps vr. Which has better exclusives?
>finger tracking is a meme-
>animate my own porn with my headset and motion controls
>jerking off to myself
its a nitche feeling
What do you guys use to ERP in
Based
A true artist finds enjoyment in his own creation
I wonder what the possibility of having HMDs/controllers that use inside-out by default, but can do outside-in for more accurate tracking as an upgrade is, because I think it's a good way to make the technology more approachable, but I doubt it will be nearly as good as Lighthouse/Constellation.
go to /vg/
My hope is that Valve plans to make Knuckles+Lighthouse universal. They'll need to in order to maximize adoption (thereby making it worth it for devs to actually design around the finger tracking) and it is completely in line with Valve's open platform ethos
custom maid 3d 2
dirt rally with a wheel+pedals
Bump
Hopefully. The sooner VR is a truly open platform where developers can design agnostic of actual hardware the better. The current fractured state of PCVR is a big turnoff.
Are you ready to whore yourself out to the rest of Yea Forums yet you filthy slut?
oculus
>Valve and Oculus happily working together sharing tech and info
>massive leap forward in development in just a few months
>Facebook buys Oculus, poaches Valve employees, shuts down all communication, locks down walled garden platform
>VR enters the dark ages before it's even begun
Why? Did you play ps vr games?
>poaches Valve employees
Right after those same employees convinced Valve to hand over VR research for free as a goodwill collaborative gesture, no licenses or legal agreements
No wonder Valve was reluctant to let Luckey have data that would allow Vive support in the Oculus store.
Curious that Luckey went hunting for Mexicans and Iribe is NEETing it up or something. You would think they'd try to stay involved in VR.
no, but I doubt playstation has more vr games than pc
vr is pretty boring anyway, only good for playing anime porn games
Can't you play porn games with ps vr on pc? Steam seems to support ps vr.
Bethesda VR games are 55% off on fanatical today fellow anonymouses
>You would think they'd try to stay involved in VR.
I was under the impression Luckey was working on VR/AR related solutions for the DoD. But to be honest I'm not surprised that after getting cucked and fucked by Fuckerberg Luckey nope'd the fuck out of the scene.
Have you ever been so cucked that you want to self-insert as the nigger in your cuck porn?
There a rip out of the new book about the founding and later buyout of Oculus? It any good?
>HOW CAN WHITE BOIS EVEN COMPETE
By becoming VIRTUAL NIGGERS apparently
I actually did this in a torture/rape scene, just felt appropriate
I want to play Enderal, somebody tell Todd he should do Skyrim LE VR
>Skyrim LE
once again, a remaster that splits the community and modding scene, and didn't even look very good
remember folks, SAY NO to remasters
I like the way Broward thinks!
When I made these threads, it was just every Saturday.
Not enough is happening in VR to warrant a constant thread
webms and dunking on non-existent poorfags are still fun though.
youtube.com
Anyone else try this? It's a neat concept roguelite shooter. Hope they expand it into a full game.
>Didn't "One thousands years of pain" his ass
What happened to VR Kanojo? it disappeared yesterday and now is on steam again
>Adam Sessler gets fired from G4.webm.
Guess Valve still has a few Fires to put out
VR was the biggest waste of money i've ever spent. There are only shitty indie bullshit games, besides like Fallout and DOOM, such a waste. Should have waited another 10 years or so when actual games start being developed for it, and the Rift 3 comes out
>the Rift 3 comes out
lol
We're not even getting a Rift 2. Facebook is chasing mobile now and has dropped PCVR like hot garbage.
Contractors is a pretty amazing shooter but the population is way too small.
That's what early adoption means. First iPhone was all about the potential and you literally couldn't get 3rd party apps for a while.
I am not happy with the current situation, it's going to 3 years since launch and it hasn't caught up. I still believe in VR, the technology is there. I get more from the limited games that are available in VR than from any major releases from the industry now and in the foreseeable future.
Is it multiplayer only?
I can vouch for PSVR. PSVR may not have as many games put out for it as PC, but you still get a lot of high quality games and a lot of the best PCVR games like Superhot and Beatsaber. Main downside is that PSVR doesn't see a lot of games like Hotdogs, Horseshoes, and Hand Grenades, but the PSVR has exclusives like Astrobot, RIGS, RE7, Borderlands 2 if you're into that, and Wipeout. And if you're down for a VR party game, The Playroom VR is actually a great free game to play with friends and family.
>Facebook dropped PCVR like hot garbage
after they failed to own the platform
the only reason they're building a standalone device is so they can control it
You can play bot matches but there's no 'proper' singleplayer for it.
PSVR is pretty sweet, main thing I'd say is don't bother with the Move controllers for Beat Saber if you're already used to it on Vive or Rift. You really feel the shitter tracking in that one edge case.
Oh yeah, if you already have PC headsets, you don't need to get games like Superhot and BeatSaber on the PSVR. For Superhot since thats the one I own, its certainly playable, but the tracking issues of the moves can fuck you up in the endless or speedrun modes. But for a first time VR buyer, I think the PSVR is the best headset to get your feet wet with. I'll say however to always try out any headset first. You need to see how bad you get motion sick
I've deliberated PSVR because apparently the ps4 version of Neptunia VIIR is the only good one
But damn, that's a lot of money I'd pay just to have Rom sit on my lap
Yep. I wonder how trying to own mobile will go for them. It's an Android device, so I feel like their ability to lock it down will be limited. It sounds like they're going to go really hard on running their storefront with an iron fist, and trying to control third party development from the pre-production period. But at the end of the day, if a suitable mobile competitor pops up, they're going to have the same problem of people telling them to fuck themselves and developing for the more universal option rather than being locked into Oculus's trap. They do have a pretty significant headstart. But even if they do monopolize mobile VR, they still lose.
Ok Rift 3, Vive 3, whatever you get the idea, a newer version of our current
>tfw no VR beaner catching simulator
PALMER HEEEELP
I'm down for a seperate vr gen. The actual VRgen is just lonely faggots that just talk about vrchat and how to dress up as anime girls. God I hate that gen, it reminds me of those faggots in /gif/ that keep denying their homosexuality.
>not future proof
>still the best vr controllers for 3 years straight
I have an ODY+ / the original ODY / Lenovo. ODY+ blurs the shit out of the image to get rid of SDE. Out of the three I love my explorer the most. Lenovo headset is so comfy to use and is light as shit. Also for some reason I don't really notice SDE like it's not pronounced as other VR headsets. I've pretty much tried all of them including vive pro and pimax but I just keep going back to my explorer.
>I'm down for a seperate vr gen.
I doubt the mods are though
>3 WMR headsets
I only want PSVR for one thing.
Literally gonna spend $200 for a 15 minute lunch with my waifu. Not even in Japanese which sucks. I'm that fucking desperate. I want her to be real fuck I love Saber.
I'm not really a fan of games that use the controller. All of them feel gimmicky and I get bored of them real fast. I usually just play seated games and that's where WMR really shines. I got the ODY+ for free and bought the explorer for less that 89$ only headset and OG Odyssey for 120$. I sold the left / right controllers for OG Odyssey for 100$ each.
Honestly, with the Vive Pro I think the SDE is down to manageable levels to begin with and it uses the same panel as the Odyssey. I don't think the filter is really needed to begin with, assuming the Odyssey's stock lenses are similar or better to the Vive Pro's.
I bought a PSVR for AC7 alone and I found a bunch of other things to do with it, and I've already got a PC setup.
I'm sure I'll actually enjoy PSVR for many other things than My King but definitely this little demo length "game" is the main reason I want it. After I buy other shit like stuff for me and my actual wife.
The mods and jannies are probably the posters of VR general
Been listening to the audio book, and it's pretty good. Also pretty sad since you already know the ending. It's a got a The Social Network vibe to it.
Yeah this picture is misleading as fuck. SDE is not the main problem with current gen, it's the low resolution. ODY+ blurs it's low resolution with 'anti SDE' technology which is basically a piece of textured plastic on top of the screen.
This. SDE isn't the issue it was back in the DK1 days. What you really need is the ability to read text more than an inch from your face.
I wish there was an anime game with the interface and mechanics of VaM.
don't care how jewish fb is gonna act as long as it promotes vr
Jesus christ how many snuff films did these fuckers watch before making this
>that refresh rate
no thx
Overall it's hard to say. It forced Valve's hand to create their own ecosystem and platform, which has been good since SteamVR is the best API, environment and tracking environment but bad since Oculus themselves have largely bowed out of the race they started, leaving us with one less competent competitor while they're still hurling cash around to try and draw people to their own platforms.
Epic should buy oculus from facebook Facebook really has no business in VR
and what is their beef with Billy Corgan
Zuckerberg has a major hard on for vr. Read his leaked corporate emails.
Are there any tutorials on how to recreated this scene? The free version of VaM is garbage
When will this be out?
just be yourself
Maybe VAM will support non shit models one day.
I don't blame the guy, if they can crack the code of getting normalfags into social VR it'll be massive.
Well, they're obviously doing something wrong if VRChat is still #1.
And don't pretend it's not overrun with Discord normies.
Your perception is warped as fuck if you think that the kind of fags that still use VRchat are Facebook's normalfag userbase. They don't want discord trannies pretending to be little girls and knuckles memes, Facebook wants actual normal people using it as a social platform with other people they know.
Normies don't use discord
Discord is riddled with ERPing weeb fucks, the kind that plays VR chat and ruins generals
Oculus cancelled like three projects.
They are still working on a new one.
This is not the playerbase I was thinking of. Visit regular worlds and they're filled with desktoppers using video game models and non-anime, there's also plenty people using VRChat that have a hate boner for anime, yet they still continue to use it, because there's literally no alternative.
Oh, then those normies will never fucking give a glance to VR until it's literally sci-fi tier and easy to use like a mobile device.
you mean like the headsets slated for release soon TM?
Well yeah, the average person is a fucking idiot.
I'm not even being a fedora tipper here, I work in a job where I speak to up to 100 people a day and the vast majority of them are utter morons
really don't want to defend FB but it's not like it can be done in few years
It's still welding mask tier of comfort and awkwardness.
Self inserting as the dude fucking is probably the least cucked way to watch cuckold porn.
Something you can't do if it's a VR cuck video i'd assume. In fact if it's not POV, VR porn automatically feels like a cuck video.
nigga what? im sitting on a vive pro here and its comfy as fuck
Hey man, same here. Working with people is a disaster for a nerdy introvert. To say they dismiss stuff they don't know about is an understatement, they'll bully you for even bringing something like this up.
I have a Vive myself, but I need to be locked in my room with blinders shut to feel comfortable, because I'm literally not aware of my surroundings at all, and people that enter the room don't even know if I have a camera on or off when I'm talking to them.
For me, VR is great as it is now, for an average normie it's like putting them in solitary.
why the lockdown?
most people i was exposed to vr stuff such as the lab or even beat saber was blown away
Because I'm giving lapdances to confused boys in VRChat.
I can't seem to figure out whats up with my vive controller
if i hold down the touchpad for 2 - 3 seconds the entire controller turns off
i'm thinking i might actually have to create a r**dit account for some answers to flow in. can't even find search results for the same problem. fug
oh dear you caught the gay my man
the box no items headpats only
Very big gay at that.
Actually there is a guide on how to port enderal to se yourself but I never tried it and don't know if it would even work with vr
>tfw ogre head and the headset never feels good
Has anyone DIYd a strap of their own?
has anyone ever tried one of those gun stocks. they sound great but are expensive as fuck
Expensive?
Just do it yourself.
Wooden plank or PVC pipes, whatever.
The attaching of the controllers is just done via screws through the hole in the controller, squeezed in place with whatever.
Maybe it was Zuck's boner that hit the cancel button on Rift 2.
But who knows, maybe the future of VR is autonomous with microtransactions and ads, and it is going to be great!
His interested in normie social vr, not enthusiast level videogamers.
already looked for guides. everyone of them list like 10+ parts you have to get. Also I'm not that good with DIY stuff
Closest I've gotten is PSVR's Aim controller, which is pretty cool for what's basically just a dualshock 4 shaped like a lightgun. Having a stock to rest into your shoulder would be gamechanging, though I'd imagine it creates issues with reloading and managing equipment in most shooters.
I'm not even a nerdy introvert.
I work for the bank and I have to explain to fucking grown adults how money works, or that if they agree to pay for something they have to pay for it and we can't bail them out
Exactly my point, they have no business in VR. Social works with whatsapp, it's enough to keep people hooked for hours on end. Voice, pictures and videos are a part of social but they are not really needed. for interaction. Straping an HMD just for social won't work as social relies on mass adoption.
Even more an HMD puts a barrier between you and your social contacts.
They should have worked to get every gamer / nerd into VR, then, only then VR will be of interest to normies, it's what has happened to every nerd hobby after all.
EPIC seems interested in bringing the fight to Valve, buying oculus from FB would open another front with them.
i mean, who's the ceo of a billion dollar company?
