In a few hours the open beta will be available. Will you be playing it? I played a lot of the first game at launch, but I didn't stick around because the end game wasn't very polished. I heard it got much better and the game is in a good state right now, but I never returned. Everything I've seen about Division 2 makes it seem like they're going to do the game right from the beginning. They're aware of the mistakes they made the first time around and don't want to repeat them, unlike Destiny 2 and how Anthem basically ignored every other example of what not to do. Do you think Division 2 will launch as a decent game, or is it also going to take a year or more before it gets good like the other games of this type?

Looks gay ill pass

It’s watch dog 2 all over again.

Barely any hype for the sequel but then the sequel blows the the 1st game out of the water but most don’t care due to the bad taste of the 1st game

I played the closed beta. It feels pretty familiar with the first one but with most of the feedback/fixes that 1 got later in it's lifespan already in the game. If you didn't like one at all it's not going to change your mind but if you liked 1 but got tired of the lack of content or annoying parts the open beta is prob something you should check out.

I tried the closed beta and I couldn't play the fucking endgame with my friends because the netcode was fucking horrid

What time does it start?

I'd believe it. I dropped WD1 in less than 2 hours because it was so bland and chopped down. Luckily I got WD2 with a graphics card and was quite pleasantly surprised.

I was under the impression that preorders were very good for this game, despite it not being available on Steam. I feel like maybe it's not being discussed much because the shoddy release of Anthem is a hotter topic, as well as Apex being a big craze right now. I imagine after the open beta there will be a lot more talk of Division 2.

I enjoyed the first game but after like 150 hours the grind was no longer fun. They hadn't perfected end game yet, so I moved on. I didn't experience any of the changes but I heard the game got much better.

1am PST

You get a free game if you preorder. Watch Dogs 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands, or Far Cry Primal. I've never played any of them, which should I go for? I was leaning towards Watch Dogs 2, but I haven't played the first one.

If you have a buddy or two to play it with, wildlands. Otherwise WD2 for sure.

far cry is the worst of the 3 on the list. the other two are both pretty comfy in different ways. i heard that wildlands doesn't work on RTX cards in case that matters to you

I just hope the netcode is up to par and that Exotics aren’t fucking locked behind legendary missions which require the best gear and grindy metas if done solo (which is how I mostly played 1 anyways and I enjoyed it)

No, one of their pet monkeys acted up on twitter and I don't want to support them as a result

Division 1 had horrible pop-in. Like entire objects would pop-in feet away from the player. They never fucking fixed it. Why would I ever buy a the sequel?

It’s 50 gigs or something and I might have to delete a game or two to get it, so I’m still debating it. I liked The Division 1 despite its flaws, I hope 2 fixes some shot, like enemy and loot variety.

The game would benefit so much from cover destruction. Enemies hiding behind cardbord boxes feels so fucking stupid.

"meh" comes to mind.

Yeah. I played the private, it was pretty good, and the patch notes look promising.

Link?

>I was under the impression that preorders were very good for this game, despite it not being available on Steam.
I believe the verbage implied the preorders were up on Uplay's store compared to the first. Mostly because you have that or Epic to chose from.

Ghost recon wildlands is too similar, but if you have someone to coop with it can be fun. Farcry Primal is good, but only if you haven’t played Farcry recently, Watch Dogs 2 is meh story-wise and has a meh city to explore

Despite what people assume, the first game had a pretty large userbase initially, which quickly dropped off due to the game not really having that much content at the end, and then started to pick up numbers due to the Chinese market getting it after a lot of stuff was fixed. I believe it was like the 7th or 8th best selling game on Xbox.

I don't think it's a bad game, especially because I like the premise, I just feel like it was an incomplete game. The extra content added didn't really feel very thought out, but at least seemed like an attempt to address some of the issues players had with it. I'm sad they didn't keep building on Div1, but I'm happy we're at least getting a change of scenery, I was getting sick of New York snow only.

>subpar voice acting, i've seen fan-dubs of kingdom hearts fanfics with better voiceacting.
>city is a shithole after months without the virus
>everyone knows about the Division agents even when they were supposed to be secret agents
>removed the snow setting which made it unique and unironically comfy
>the people bossing you around is either a nigger or a woman, or both because fuck originality
>most enemies are women, you mow them by the thousands
I cancelled the preorder, Mr. Shill. Just so you know.

Snow setting was getting old, I'm glad we're moving on.
