You can see the first sword strike and high time in that clip. We saw Stinger in the Gamespot photo, and there's another photo showing the last hit of the basic three hit combo too. I'm not saying there isn't ANYTHING unique about it, but going off of what we've seen, it's just aesthetic. I'm still not really sure what's going on with the summon swords, though. They don't seem to be connected to the new sword because you see them firing off while he uses Cavaliere in the trailer. I wonder if they're just automatic.

Looks like his coat got a redesign, even if it's minor. The fancy shit goes around the back of the neck and down the arms now when it never did before. The were buckles on the arm aren't exactly the same as before either. The buckle going across the the thirds split in the back of the coat isn't there, and the buckles they added to the shoulders in 4 aren't there anymore.

You get them by burning DT while using Demon Sword Dante or DTing into it. It persists a while with other weapons like Round trip but way longer and more complex. Likely you can only make it do moves with the sword or if you DT and use styles with it.

There's two problems with that, one small and one big. The small problem is that Phantom has no core. They could easily change that, since Griffon and Shadow don't exactly mirror their original designs much either.

The bigger problem is that Shadow is a sword and Griffon is a gun. What is Phantom? He's got a pincher swipe, a grapple, and a tail poke. He also has flame pillars, a fireball from his mouth, and a fireball storm from his back. He doesn't fit either category, and also he's a spider, which might look at little more awkward moving around.

I don't think V is getting anything new. I also don't think Vergil will be playable, though. I think the end game is just going to favor Nero and Dante more. Didn't Itsuno say at some point that V wasn't getting as many levels as Dante and Nero?

What would yamato even do for vergil aside from letting him apparently travel to certain places via cutting through rifts. They never made yamato out to be something that gave Vergil extra powers by itself. I mean it can apparently "cut through anything" but that doesn't seem to need to be a prerequisite for killing demons. I was assume it had more use in it's extra abilities revealed in 4, rather than in combat for a child.

Yamato was always a strong devil sword and even just simply being super sharp would help Vergil a shit ton, since most demons would probably be very hard to cut through. I'm guessing they are referring to his devil trigger form, which draws power from Yamato. I don't think it's ever been downright stated that a devil arm is needed to use their devil trigger, but I think it's safe to assume. And while the weapons just seem to give their devil form a relatively small change in power and abilities, I'm guessing that at such an early age, Yamato was doing most of the heavy lifting when Vergil was in his devil form.

I still have to beat dmc 1 and 4 on DMD, and 3 with Dante since I've only actually done so with Vergil. Should I just go in release order?
