Barely anyone actually plays the game as a fighter.

Most are either just of questional substance there for marie rose, or just play dress up & take screen shots.

Its also a fairly basic fighter, not a massive amount of depth.

For some reason, KT thought it would be a good idea to set up the game for sale on the dot instead of having it up for sale a few days ahead, which means everyone else will only see the top sellers like DMCV right now and the only folks seeing DOA6 will be people who have it on their wishlist.

I believe some devs do this shit intentionally because so many game comes out rushed and constantly getting patches for a year or two. If your game just comes out finished then it looks like you don't even care about the support.

Further support through either expansion packs (or in this case for fighters 'seasons') is a perfectly accepted way of continuing the lifeline of a game.

Just look at Tekken7 tha game is like 6+ years old now (including arcade time) and it still massively popular and just released its third season of characters, and will likely have at least one more.

The state of SFV for example on launch where there was no basic arcade mode shit is just unacceptable, leaving out modes just because you can put them out later is really dire imo.

Instantly makes me dubious of the release and more than likely will make me just wait for it to go on a deep steam sale when they have actually finished it.

It may sounds dumb but when a dev has an exact plan like this ready at release it is pretty obvious they made the entire game with this in mind. Devs are constantly trying to get away with less and as soon as people accept it (will happen eventually) this games as a service model it becomes the golden standard.
It is just simply how the human mind works. Complete experiences are forgotten quickly because there is nothing to talk about. If you release an update you generate some discussion about the game as well.
I buy maybe one game a year as new for this reason. But most people not like me or you.

I'm another guy. I played the demo on the S model with SSD (have to wait for the final until after work). The loading screens were surprisingly long. I played Injustice 2 last with all the shit installed and it was way quicker. I felt the game is kind of slow to react to my inputs but someone said it is the 8 frame problem which will either be fixed or not and had very bad lag online (someone pointed out I may have played with people who use wifi and I can check it before accepting the fight).

what other people's children do with their money is none of my business, I just gave my first impressions of the game.

I haven't used her yet, she's all over the games other single player mode so you get a good sense of her personality

I have to argue with this. Just like the deluxe set it isn't anything interesting. I think you can expect costume passes to the different characters.

As for the entire costume thing overall I have to say you are not forced to buy everything. I know it is tempting, I know. I was there I bought a lot of shit in DOA5 but you are not forced to buy shit you will probably never use. If wrestler costumes (clashing directly with most of the characters styles) are your thing I can understand your frustration about Nyo's pass exclusive but otherwise who cares, I didn't see better than her default for her so far.

No good, I was one of the people who figured out that the bonus doesn't come with the GMG keys by redeeming it and looking at the DLC list in the library, and GMG doesn't do refunds on activated/released keys. I did save $6 even over Steam's discount, though.

Just because some idiots will spend $100 on DLC for some shitty shooter that releases every fucking year does not make it good practice, nor does it excuse anyone else who does it. Dead or Alive needed this game to do a complete 180 to DoA5's practices for it to be taken seriously by the community. Having a $100 season pass that only covers four months of content when you know that they'll be releasing costumes for several years is a giant fuck you after the backlash that received with DoA5.

You aren't even forced to buy the costume pass. In COD you get new levels and stuff you have to buy it if you are playing the game seriously. This is a non issue, levels/animation updates are free.
