Merk and Gord without a doubt.
Yuzuriha has long range physical attacks and teleports, go deduce the information from what I said about Hilda and Phonon

Merk has big fat hitboxes, has air movement and can drop helpers to let you pressure on the corner.

Yeah, that's why 5B sucks as a starter, you can't combo off it without meter at far distances. When you practice 4-2 I recommend ignoring the 5B starter and just keeping in mind the 2C > 4C part that you can use by itself or tack on after almost every non-A starter.

For far 5B, something like 5B > 214A (or 236A) > 236C > 5C > 3C > 623A > 5A > 5C > 214B > 2C > 4C > 214B is probably the standard route to learn although I am bad myself remembering to use my meter to confirm this way and should practice that myself.

I strangely enough have dubious thoughts on my own 5B starters. They're usually really similar to 5C starters for me.

Watching hippe play Enkidu makes me both excited since Enkidu looks and sounds sick and irritated since I can't do any of that shit yet.

Yeah, don't use 2C, 5C, and 4C all at the same time unless it's specifically 5C > 2C > 4C order. When you do 2A > 2C > 5C, you either want to do the air series or the autopilot 214B > 2C > 4C > 214B danzai loop if you're really just want to end in some damage and knockdown. The more advanced option is to segue into 3B > 623A > 5A > 5C > danzai loop.

2A > 2C > 4C has better routes since you can move directly to 623A or go for the more damaging j.214B stuff.

Conversion power is really important to make the most out of those precious stray hits.

We technically don't want to play with 10+ frames either.

Aside from the stuff you'll get just from playing games, block more on wakeup and know which moves are unsafe/safe.

You gotta pickup dash blocking. You'll never touch Vatista or Yuzu without it as Wagner. Keep playing and practicing and you'll get it with time.

yeah I noticed that a lot and spent a lot of confirms specfically going 5a > 5c > 2c > dl.4c 623a > 5a but it's harder in practice, think I only landed it once.

Can't wait when I finally attempt those 5c j.92c stuff I glanced over in missions.

Right now I'm just trying to get a feel for him while using basic combos. I feel like I should be able to do a special move after 5BBB instead of just 5CCC but alas.
Once I get more comfortable with the braindead combos I'll try some more complicated stuff.

Find a quirk you like about em. For me, I picked Linne because the idea of a tiny girl dualwielding a giant sword and a knife at the same time was amusing.

Nah, you're always locked into his autocombo string if you do 5BBB5CCC. There's a few limited cases where they're usable for baiting out mashers but aside from that, it's mostly a crutch.

Yeah, just a note you don't delay the 4C, you delay the 623A a bit so it pops them up higher for the 5A juggle (though in netplay you don't consciously try to delay as much).

As for the j.2C > j.214A > 66B route, I don't bother attempting it in real matches myself especially since my ghetto homebrew combos only do like 100 less damage while being much easier.

Yeah, getting down 623A routes in particular can be rough at first. I still can't hit the juggle after 623A consistently in netplay delay right now for the more damaging midscreen 5C combo I've been practicing.
