Squenix is still salvageable, but barely. In fact it's maddening how close they come to making a comeback only to immediately piss it away with the worst decisions possible.

This one for sure. I'd like to see them make an atmospheric horror themed Castlevania but of course with good gameplay as well that the series is known for. I'm envisioning something like RE4 or RE2 REmake with whip gameplay and magic. Also jumping and perhaps a dodge button. It wouldn't look exactly like the Souls games but I guess it would have some similarities to it. So not those GOW tier CV games they have been doing. Something that makes you more vulnerable but still powerful enough that you aren't just a standard horror protagonists if that makes sense.

If Capcom expects to grow in shitty e-sports like they want to, they need another game. Another game with actual soul. It could be anything. Darkstalkers, MvC4, CvS, All-Stars, a more competitive SF, anything. SFV and presumably SF6 won't carry them forever. Players are sick of SFV and are only in it for the money.

No, literally all they have to do is make it like Castlevania 64, but you know a good camera and controls unlike the typical early 3D Konami controls.

Square Enix most definitively. I wanted to say Konami, but the problem with them is they don't have ACTUAL employees with talent. And they largely don't have enough properties to make something have a come back and now combine that with a lack of interest in Konami to make new things like how Capcom made Monster Hunter to give you an example.....yeah Konami has nothing and is eating dust.

So again, give it to Square Enix. Man I miss 90s Square Enix they experimented a nice chunk between original ideas and solid FF spin offs like FF Tactics. Too bad about how they turned out in the end. Thinking about how all they make now is FF and Kingdom Hearts is just depressing and no I'm not a hater for either series. Whatever creative spark they had? They fucking lost it. Fuck them until they reclaim it.

Contra, Silent Hill, Sparkster, Goemon, Gradius, Castlevania, the entire Bemani branch, Metal Gear, Suikoden? Konami has plenty to work with over a variety of genres.
