A great example of this is heliolisk. Normally electric types have incredibly shallow movesets, but heliolisk gets all sorts of wack coverage like dark pulse, surf, focus blast, grass knot, and STAB hyper voice. It started becoming known as "hero" type when it falsely spread around the internet that it was translated to "hero type" in japanese, but that is actually false. and it stays as a way to remember Fighting is SE to Dark, but that doesn't confirm it to be considered Hero type in actuality. If it was actually supposed to be "Hero" type in-lore then the biggest Fighting type trainers, gym leaders, etc. would be something like sentai or caped super heroes, not guys from a gym in tattered gis.
