I don't know if it's nostalgia (I was 13 when it released) but the game is so packed full of content, and most of it high quality. They still had the good quest writers from Oblivion.

I like the X. MCC and red dead are great. And any game my aging PC can't run, the Xbox can.

All four of the antagonists were pretty intriguing too. They all kind of had their own set themes, whether it's environmental, locale, OST or agenda. They were pretty unique.

Special Edition was released 5 years after its initial launch, and even then the game had one of the highest modding community of all time. Even if it didn't exist and we only had the Legendary Edition, folk would still develop mods for it. Enderal is Oldrim only. Shit's crazy.

Morrowind and even Fallout 4 had a pretty long main quest. Granted, F4 practically was a narrative-driven mess that forced you to do side quests to continue the main quest, but still.

The main story is dumb, but it does have great moments, Vault 101 is fun the first time, running into the behemoth with BoS, Tranquility Lane, Liberty Prime. Even Little Lamplight was amusing
