if they're keeping the mayor stuff at the very least have me in charge of zoning and approve where villagers actually put their houses
aside from that just do the "everyone is here" shtick and have every single villager as a possible resident, and being able to choose between village biomes (cozy mountain town, island town, classic village etc)

You can still wear horned caps, but only as custom designs now. Which means you're fucked if you want to make a horned cap that matches an existing shirt but there aren't enough colors to properly recreate it.

Jesus I just learned about the mother manga and novelization like 2 weeks ago and now this, Nintendo has a lot of hidden relics.

I want an option to live in a real city. Not the weird village system we have now. Like bunches of houses for players and for animals. And then just have the traditional fishing/bug catching/whatever style gameplay take place in a communal park that changes in design every day.

to piggyback off this, my favorite parts of animal crossing was visiting people daily and having them open up as you encounter them more. Brewster pretty much doesn't even speak to you the first 5 or so times you get coffee but after about a month you're having regular conversations with him etc. I thought that was really well done, and made even otherwise "mundane" characters seem rather interesting.

I never realized how much I actually wanted this, please don't make Isabelle the main focus again

I just want the relationships between the player and the neighbors to feel more developed. I want the neighbors to tell me more about their feelings towards other neighbors, and make it feel like there's stuff happening between them. One of the things I always enjoyed was listening to the conversations when the neighbors started talking to each other. I felt like that really made them seem dynamic. It would also be nice if you could do more activities with them, or interact with them in other ways. Maybe each personality could have a unique activity that they do with the player. I just want the personalities to feel more alive, so to speak.

My favorite memories were sharing the game with my cousins and the multiplayer in wild world. The game isn't just for fucking shut-ins who want 0 social connections and that straight up doesn't happen in a village.

Why does everyone hate the rolling log? The sections in AC on the GC felt so chunky and takes out of the immersion of being in a real flowing town.
