Probably Cave Story. There was a time in high school where that game was my comfort food game and I'd replay it at least three times a year. Only ever got the true ending once though.

Always make sure to have final lasers and use somersaults frequently. You can turn sharper by holding down Z or R. You wanna button mash the gun the second you get them in your crosshairs.

I've beaten the original Paper Mario more than 20 times and it isn't fun anymore. It's just too easy and I'm running out of options for challenge runs so it's pretty boring. It is a baby game after all. Haven't played it in over 5 years.
