The combat is literal trash. Difficulty has nothing to do with it. I never get to combo on bosses or do anything engaging. It's just a bunch of jumping around like an asshole spamming jump attacks because jumping is mad i-frames and repeatedly hitting the boss is impossible. Start me out with something coated in armor and then move on to somebody who blocks your attacks basically perfectly? Fuck right off. Literal garbage design. It's not fun. At all.

I'm literally not. I got Nelo half dead on my first try. It's just bad design to make bosses that ask you to spam jump attacks. The combat isn't designed with ebb and flow and periods of enemy aggression and vulnerability. You just run around dodging attacks and once in a while you can squeeze in a poke that doesn't result in you getting blocked/stunned. It's bad. It's not fun. It's hopeless poorly aged. There's literally no defending the whole "dur replay the whole mission" shit in particular. It's absolute trash and does nothing but waste my time.

These are the issues people shit on Bayo 2 for having. It's not okay when you're stuck using jump attacks exclusively to be able to hurt Phantom. It's not okay when you're stuck needing a Witch Time activation to hurt Balder. Bad design is bad design.

Blame the game. Jump attacks were the only even slightly effective tactic for Phantom [I can't even imagine how Phantom passed QA, he's absolutely MASSIVELY bad] and it worked on Nelo too until the arena got stupid small. So a lot of people were saying Trish is voiced by Wendee Lee, that hasn't been confirmed yet right? I haven't heard Lee in many roles so I don't know what her vocal range is like. I'm probably wrong but any one else think Trish/Eva sounds like EVA's voice actress from MGS3? Not as much when she says that one line "And you need to see this through, Dante's war" but some of the lines in this new trailer she sounds like her, like when Trish goes "Oh god, I thought it was over" and the entire scene where Eva's putting little Dante in the closet.

Man, this was an awesome time. For a long time it looked like DMC was gonna end up like Dino Crisis and Onimusha where Capcom just lets it fade into obscurity. When the E3 trailer dropped and Yea Forums lost it's shit, it was absolutely infectious. Just being here and seeing people just being excited and jovial pretty much made me come to Yea Forums on a regularly basis. Hopefully, even after it's release there will still be some merriment to go around.
