What fighting game character would you want to guest star in MK11? Keep in mind all of these characters have something in common, as they're more easily able to have harm done to them, since they're all either robots, alien creatures, or very evil beings in their own universe.

My personal favorites to see would be either Gargos, 12, or Susano'o. Holy shit, I'd be excited if any of these guys came to MK. Especially 12. This could be the opening to the actual possibility of a SF x MK. Capcom would have to make it though, for sure, but 12 can visit MKs universe for now.

Pick a character. If you suck at combos then find a zoner or grappler. Learn their strengths and weaknesses, what range are they best at? What overhead and low options do they have? What's their highest damaging move that you can combo into? Learn your options: 'if I hit them with this string, what can I combo into?' 'How does that change if they're in the corner?' Learn from your losses, think about what someone is likely to do and how you can stop them from doing that.

Counter system is dumb because it punishes pressure for low tiers and doesn't do much for high tiers like Christie.
Christie basically can get by with 30/30/30 mixups not including the core RPS design and completely invalidate most strategies which then helps enforce the RPS design. They never understood how to balance attacks.

To get better at executing combos you practice them in training mode. Eventually you`ll develop a muscle memory.
To get better at the game you need to play online agaings non-shitters.
Just put some hours into it.

The only character I was able to vibe with in 9 was Kano. And even then I mainly relied on his knives and ball specials. Do these newer entries change anything up to make it easier learning move sets?

Well that's just the point isn't it? The game at its core isn't actually about the dumb RPS system that they market to amateurs.
The only recent FG that did have a pure RPS system was Pokken and it wasn't good.
Christie has only ever been exceptional tier-wise recently in the DOA5 updates alongside other rushdown characters, and that's universally agreed to be a bad thing specifically for DOA5U and LR, which is exactly why more neutral and defensive characters are looking more dominant in 6.
