The jump between the 3ds and Switch is immense, the hardware in the Switch is more powerful than the hardware that powered games like GTAV last gen. Gamefreak no longer have an excuse for laziness, but the truth is that never mattered, they were only ever interested in doing the bare minimum.
Basically an open world Pokemon game with more in depth tracking, and catching mechanics and a far more detailed level of world building will never exist.

I'm more surprised that you expect cutting edge graphics from Pokemon. Gamefreak have always been like that too, even back in red/green the code was a garbled mess. The only graphics that were impressive at the time were RS with stuff like reflections, and the quality of 3D models in XY (that tanked the framerate since they were so high poly).

It’s not like their games sell as much as CoD or Uncharted. So check yourself before asking for these asinine claims.
The concept of rare encounters goes out the window when you see pokemon roaming the overworld though. They end up needing to force tedious shit like chain catching in Let's Go to make up for the ease of just walking up to something and grabbing it. They're RPGs, they should have RPG mechanics.

Gamefreaks share is probably quite small considering that they don't publish the games, and that Nintendo owns the trademark, they probably only recieve dividends from The Pokemon Company too instead of a split share of the profits from the game, the company itself is probably worth multiple billions though, Satoshi Tajiri is probably very rich, and their starting pay is still around 30k a year, I think Tajiri may be Chinese, or Jewish since he's basically on that level of kike.

Didn't mention graphics. you're just putting words in my mouth at this point, as far as Pokemon gen 8 looks, it looks fine, it's the level design, and gameplay systems that are the real failure here, just look at the screenshot in the OP, nothing has changed, it's still a series of paths with high grass for encounters, even the camera is still fixed.
Yo-Kai Watch is made for kids, just compare that to Pokemon, it's world building is far better, it's level design is far better, graphically it's far better, they've pushed forwards gameplay mechanics due to not having older limitations, and while I wouldn't apply all of these changes to Pokemon it shows that they were at least interested in pushing things forwards with access to more powerful hardware.

I'm not putting words in your mouth, you were talking about the hardware capability. Gameplay systems haven't been held back by hardware for a long time (for JRPGs anyway), and we have very little idea on the gameplay mechanics anyway so there's no point in arbitrarily judging anything yet.

They probably have a few billions but not much, their stake in The Pokemon Company isn't going to get them a flat share of all profits, they will get paid out a flat share of their payouts, the Pokemon Company itself will retain money, even though it's a joint venture, and that 90bn isn't end profit, that's the amount of money that it's generated in sales without any deductions of material cost, front store split etc.

All of their games have been incremental changes since Gen 3. The series has been half-assed for nearly 2 decades. It didn't suddenly become bad after 2013; it's always been bad.

Genius Sonority reused all the N64 models from the Stadium games in both GC games and Battle Revolution on the Wii. Stop romanticizing them, they were mechanically watered-down from the handheld games and offered next to nothing the N64 games offered in terms of multiplayer and connectivity with the handheld games.
