Anyone else think this suit looked horrible and a downgrade from the level 3 from DS1? They used it in every single ad for the game, too.

security and vintage are the best looking suits and ds1 is better anyway
No. Also canonically the most advanced suit Isaac ever wears
>yfw preview footage of DS3 used it
Where the hell is it? Did Isaac left it on his wardrobe on the moon?
The level 3 suit is the most iconic suit in the series, it's in every single game. And it is my favourite suit to pick in any game.
1 was based. I think I preferred 2 the most but can't remember if it was better than 1. I dropped 3 before even leaving the first space area. utter trash.
The spine health bar was a great design choice and i don't know why nobody else tried doing something like it.
Dead Space is Lem's Solaris of video games
yes
no
I agree, they totally mess up the look of the rig in later games.
Because from a gameplay standpoint it was a cool little feature but from a design standpoint it made no sense.
But the first space area is the best part of the game
Dead Space 1 and 2 are better than anything Resident Evil has put out. I wish they would do a remaster. It's the one thing vidya related that I hope for.
The visuals in DS3 were great, shame the rest of the game wasn't
FUCK EA
I JUST WANT SOMEONE TO BUY DEAD SPACE SO THOSE RETARDED ASS MONKEYS CAN'T HAVE IT ANYMORE
I WANT A FUCKING PROPER CONCLUSION FOR ISAAC
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
>What’s wrong Johnson your spine bar isn’t green
>Shit sarge I just need some spine fluid
>Head to medbay
>I WANT A FUCKING PROPER CONCLUSION FOR ISAAC
You already have it:
- Ignore DS3: Isaac and Ellie live happily ever after
- Ignore Awakened: Isaac and Carver die to stop the Moons
- Accept everything as it is now: create your own bullshit story as to how Isaac and co. meet with Lexine Weller and use the Ishimura's Planet Cracker capabilites to destroy the Moons and save Earth or whatever
It's not in every game. The DS2 and DS3 Engineer suit is a bit different.
Dead Space doesn't need a remaster.
Nope. The engineering suit made since in 1 and as the starting suit in 2, but I love the idea that Isaac rose above his situation and started kicking its ass. The advanced suit is the embodiment of that and it's my favorite suit.
Why? Just replay the game you texture sperg. They still look and play great.
Why doesn't any armored suit in Dead Space protect from basic necromorphs? Shitty bones shouldn't be able to pierce the suit.
It's just cloth covered by metal plating.
Isaac is a giant cuckold. I dont wanna se him ever again.
no, its probably my favorite scifi suit design out of any video game
Because it's shitty bones covered in space science magic. Magic pierces armor.
But some of the suits are clearly heavy duty mining gear.
>but from a design standpoint it made no sense.
It's literally for medics to get an immediate health condition on engineers out in the field. It's a bit difficult to tell how much a person is injured through an advanced suit unless it's specifically a gash wound. Anything that struck with blunt force would obscured.
The idea is that it converts a summary of all your vitals into a visual display bar. It's not about accuracy but about quick general assessment.
Best suit was the snow suit with the bitchin fuzzy neck. Prove me wrong. Shut up cause you can't.
Both of these
>Green
Nothing critical, even if it hurts a lot. You won't die no matter how long you wait for the doctor. This would be stuff like skin abrasions, light cuts, bruising, at its most severe it would be shit like micro fractures.
>Yellow
Something is pretty badly injured. You need a physical check to assess the damage otherwise it might cause long-term problems in life. Injuries such as deep cuts, fractures, dislocated joints etc.
>Critical
You need immediate medical assistance right now. Organ damage, arterial bleeding, broken bones, you're on the brink of death.
It looks alright: Vintage Suit is the best though
What did he do wrong?
They kind of do. All npcs don't have armor and seem to die easily. (Pretend the military guys don't exist) Begs the question of why nobody else decided to armor up.
Still being obsessed with markers so much that girl like Ellie cucked him with some jarhead douchebag.
ECHO is the only game I know that does something similar
>the entire world is in the middle of a magical space zombie outbreak
>keep getting visions and other schizo shit from the 2001 monolith ass structures
>but i gotta get that coochie tho
>Security
>Best looking
>Also drinking himself into a coma like some pathetic loser. Have no job, no money and almost being kicked out of his apartment because of that.
Jesus he had 3 years to get over it. I understand why Ellie left him.
>blame Isaac for DS3
I played like half of DS1, it's it worth getting any of the other games?
Of course but make sure you finish DS1 first.
>Isaac is dead and the Moons destroy all humenaty
Shit...
N
It's intimidating.
I'm a graphics fag though, I might cringe at the dated graphics
Carver is a nigger or spic? This question tortures me
The game holds up though you fucking zoomer
Games with good dynamic lighting and shadows age like wine user.
>Play DS2 on Xbone yesterday
>still looks fucking great
was surprised
Definitely not a nigger.
Spic then
Voiced and modeled after this guy
en.wikipedia.org
and then it just continues to go downhill
Coop mechanics were pretty good though.
I always liked the look of the standard engineer rig in DS1 the best
YOU FUCKED UP MY FACE
I never upgrade the suit. Not because of visuals but because it's the only way to make the game challenging for me.
What happened in DS3? I didn't play it.
kek
Everybody dies. The end.
The most underrated cliffhanger in vidya history.
I recently replayed DS2 and I noticed there were a few places where necros respawned randomly (the apartment section for example) when I was backtracking to the bench or save station. I wish they could keep this element of surprise in the previous game and DS3..
Agreed, I like the bulky look like DS1's level 3-5 or DS2's vintage or security. The advanced seems flimsy and the feet toe hammers look like shit.
Awful love triangle retardation for the first 10 hours
Suddenly, aliens
Moon from majora's mask shows up with all his brothers
Issac and minority friend kill one but get themselves killed in the process
cliffhanger end
All the DS games look great. Even 3 has good art and some impressive vistas in it.
It wasn't random.
Remember the first AvP (from 99) where Xenomorphs respawn not only randomly but indefinitely as well? I wish this mechanic was implemented to DS.
>Pretend the military guys don't exist
I would say this is something that always bothered me with DS2, their armor seemed to be completely useless despite it being clearly specifically for combat. But then I remember the sheer number of necros that broke through when you shut off the power.
I suppose the armor might also be designed with stopping plasma damage in mind and not space zombies with re-purposed bone swords.
I was mostly referring to the USM Valor
It's not so much the armor not protecting them as it is the sheer number of people getting overwhelmed and unable to really combat it effectively. They wouldnt know to shoot off the limbs, really, save for Gabe and Isaac, who already have experience.
That, and the various ways they attack you, from acidic bile, to razor sharp limb swords, and the armor would be eventually weakened until theyre cut down.
Most of the security don't have cutting or mining tools. You need to be accurate with the plasma rifle anyway to really do much damage with it.
Will we ever know what happened with her?
Oh yeah, that slipped my mind, I forget what their armor looks like. I feel like they had something similar to Isaac that looked like the engineering suits?
That too. I noticed that some of the military dudes had their armor melted through, presumably thanks to pukers.
Isaac got very lucky in the first game that he learned to go for the limbs early on and he just happened to have experience with the best tools for that job, I guess.
>I forget what their armor looks like
They wore the Advanced Soldier RIG. Look at the Gallery.
deadspace.fandom.com
They based it off the IRL concept of scuba tank indicators that would let others know if your air was getting low iirc
>They all got killed by 1 necromorph
