The author Hideaki Sena revoked the license himself when Parasite Eve 2 got made, he got pissed. Unless he is fine with Square touching his IP again that trademark might be an extension of the old one, likely not depending on Hideaki's input, for just a port re-release since UK didn't get the original Parasite Eve released there back then.

In PE, should you attach a weapn upgrade as soon as you find one, or is it generally better to wait and apply them to a stronger weapon later on? I have found a couple and they take up place in my inventory, but I don't want to use them in case I find a much better gun in the next room.
