With Naruto, he wanted to become hokage, One Piece, they want to find One Piece, become the strongest pirates, etc.
What the fuck was the goal of Bleach?

Ichigo kind of just fell into a lot of things. He accidentally the shinigami powers. When Rukia was going to be executed, he had an actual goal, and then he had Aizen to deal with. But after that, he was just event-adjacent. the return of the Quincy barely had anything to do with Ichigo, but he helped out because his friends were involved.

I watched all of the episodes (yes even the filler seasons) and haven't bothered with the manga but kind of have an overall idea of what happens at the end of that.

Are they ever going to complete the anime?

After chair, we get an arc about Ichigo losing his powers and getting them back. Nothing important happens here, except for a new guy with deus ex machina powers being introduced so he can help in the final arc. Next arc is about a Quincy invasion in Soul Society. The first Quincy comes back from the dead and fucks shit up. Ichigo's sword breaks fending off the first Quincy, so he has to make a new one. He makes a new one in the royal realm. Meanwhile first Quincy comes back and fucks shit up again. Zangetsu is actually Hollow Ichigo, and the old man is Ichigo's Quincy side, inherited from his mom. Ichigo races to Soul Society to save the day, but the first Quincy keikaku'd for that, and uses Ichigo's mode of transportation to get to the Royal Realm, which was his goal all along. The Royal Guard jobs in ~4 chapters. The Quincy elite henchmen are literally, and I mean literally, unkillable. Only 2/5 are actually killed in the end. The first Quincy eats the Soul King, who is his dad also for some reason. Also Uryu betrayed his friends to join the Quincy, but now he double betrays and becomes a good guy again, and he's the only person who can kill the first Quincy with a special arrow. Also Ichigo's new sword breaks again before he can even do shit against the first Quincy. And then the bookmark guy from the previous arc magically fixes it. Then Aizen is released and they three-man the first Quincy, despite him literally being able to see literally every future. Also somewhere in there Kenpachi goes both Shikai and Bankai, and Hitsugaya grows up in 2 seconds, literally. Also Kenpachi survived the vacuum of space, and literally killed a guy by making him imagine Kenpachi's full power, which was pretty hype. All in all a completely trash ending.

every season we go without the anime coming back takes us farther from the point of where the anime returning would be beneficial to the company doing it. people's interest in bleach will continue to drop until it's just a forgotten memory and only the diehard completionists and ichiruki fans want it back, the latter hoping the anime will change the canon ending to fit their desires.

I know bleach died out for a multitude of reasons but I think when I was younger that was a big reason why I couldn't get into it, characters looked neat but there was never a basic summary of the story/character goals i could get behind
Even Hunter X Hunter with its slightly differing arcs had the general goal of Gon/Killua and friends wanting to get better in their world and Gon wanting to find Jing so its enough to bait you along
Too bad Kubos art skill was wasted on such a long series, i feel genuinely bad for the guy getting caught in that long mangaka grind but long series like that were the norm around that milenium time

its one of those series that i loved and hated. Logic and foreshadowing had no place, but the characters and fights were creative and the asspulls were fun. Aizen was simultaneously a great villain and an annoyingly impossible-to-defeat wall for ichigo to try and surpass. Characters i loved with a ton of development opportunities like Tatsuki, Chad, and Gin were underutilized or completely forgotten. And then the ending being cut short meant that a good half of the fanbase got blue balled.

It was a fascinating experience

More and more I'm convinced that Bleach up until the Thousand Year Blood War Arc was just Kubo's excuse to worldbuild in a half-assed way. The way it just jumps from faction to faction with each arc and explains how each faction develops their abilities and shit really feels like somebody who sat down, had a cool idea for a setting, and then started trying to write a story in the setting to make some use out of it, before expanding the setting and steering the story towards that expansion, over and over again.

So what's the deal with Ichigo's bankai anyways? He fights Byakuya to what was essentially a draw on his very first fight using it, and then throughout the entire Hueco Mundo arc it's basically useless without the additional boost from his hollow mask, despite Byakuya and the other captains keeping up with the Espada just fine.

yep, ive watched some analysis/retrospective vids on it in recent times since i never really got into it and was curious as to what it was all about and the concensus seems to be that Kubo was a killer artists who just got too big of a break in Bleach, it should have been a shorter story but he just got tired out by the industry grind

Desmond's story arc concluded in AC3, which still leaves four more games of it after AC1. I stopped after AC4 so I don't know what the modern-day plot is supposed to be anymore.

Urahara and that final Aizen fight were complete hype. Utterly ridiculous but Anime at its finest in how completely over the top it was.
I kinda stopped watching after Aizen was captured so I never found out why he was so mad at Urahara who seemed to know of a certain secret only a few were aware of.

There's a big-ass scar on the front of her neck where Kenny stabbed her through the fucking throat. It's why she has her hair tied in that silly way. Kubo foreshadowed it from the very start.

It still makes for a good setting. Kubo left so much shit open that you're effectively free to fill it with whatever the fuck you like. I ran a couple short-term tabletop games in it, while my mainline campaigns were on hiatus due to burnout. Sometimes you don't want to play a serious game, sometimes you want to play weeaboo garbage where shouting the name of your attack makes it more powerful, and you're free to design the edgiest character you can think of and play it 100% straight.

I played them cus you can count on one hand the proper fighters on DS. Easy huge combos, touch screen power cards and customizable decks, ran great, huge story campaigns, huge diverse roster with lots of play styles, online multiplayer.

That's fair. I'm a sucker for worldbuilding, but not everything needs to be open ended. A tighter focus will often lead to a more effective story.

Might just be you have had bad GMs? I know I didn't understand the appeal for the longest time because the guy I played for in college was terrible and only ran combat dungeon crawls with zero conversation, zero intrigue, zero character development, and zero description. Bored the shit out of me and made me wonder why I wasn't just playing Baldur's Gate instead.

Somebody else took over after players started quitting and suddenly I was being asked to actually roleplay and shit and it was all much more interesting. TTRPG vidya is fine, but nothing beats having the actual 100% character and dialogue flexibility that comes with the real thing.

I still do, I've really learned to ignore the shit I don't want to see. It's so easy to filter out what you don't want online, most people just don't go for it.

Zaraki's shikai lets him cut through anything including space and meteors. His bankai enhances that power by crazy amounts as well as increasing physical stats but at the cost of becoming a mindless beserker. The bankai also turns Zaraki's skin red making him appear like the devil.
If Zaraki were to retain his consciousness while in bankai, he would be a god. Just imagine a kendo slash from Bankai Zaraki! Anyways, Zaraki's supposed to be one of the strongest shinigami ever.
