It wasn't the best Dawn of War expansion. More content than winter assault but not as solid and worse than dark crusade. Mods really saved it though.

Exoddus is one of my favourites. I know its not a "remake" like NnT, its gonna be a totally new game with the same plotline, but im not really hyped about it. Also the phrase "Its gonna be the darkest of all the Oddworlds" its fucking stupid. The original had charm and it was funny while still having a powerful and real message. Making it more edgy is retarded.
At least the cant take away from me the original Exoddus which, btw, still looks fucking better than most games nowadays thanks to an amazing art direction, despite de awful resolution. Too bad we will never get Exoddus with the HD textures and sprites.

The original has somo problems, like game-speak is not the best and the resolution is kinda bad, because its an old game, but if you dont mind that, go for it. New n Tasty, from my point of view is visualy worse, and the art direction is completly butchered.

I tried the first game but I dropped it pretty quickly because I didn't like how much progress you lost if you died and how specific you had to be to "win" a certain screen.

it is not vaporware, but i do guess that it's in some kind of development hell. too long without word, makes me think they scrapped a lot of the more ambitious stuff already (300 followers? crafting?)

my opinion: play the original either on steam or ps1 version. avoid emulation, it requires very specific setup to not look fucked up on an emulator

Play Exoddus instead. It has a quicksave feature so you dont lose too much progress when you die. But the game is much more harder.

original has this real grungy low-key look to the factory, handpainted very detailed scenery. new n tasty is, bloomy as shit, lots of random brightly coloured lights everywhere, the backgrounds are less interesting to look at imo, despite being higher fidelity. it's night and day really, totally different tone, for the worse. if you switch off your brain it's quite pretty

yeah they said the biggest regret with oddworld 1 is the saves, the second game came with built in quick save feature on ps1, very handy. it's totally fine to start with 2

Original is way better, they fucked the whole game with the lack of a proper grid system in New N Tasty.
