It's more like Journey's multiplayer than Dark Souls.
Some missions have actual co-op where you and another person online are fighting together but most of the time it will just be you seeing them fighting battles on their side of the mission area
They are releasing BP in April but they haven't confirmed how it will work, they said they got some fun ideas for it but nothing concrete yet.
And multiplayer basically works two ways:
-Cameo system which uses ghost data of other players (apparently it prioritizes your friends list first) there will be times where a fence/a cliff/etc separates you from another player. So tl;dr you can see but not interact
-True coop in real time in some key parts of the game, if no one around you will get a really basic AI that will hardly do anything so you won't have to worry about it messing up your combos

Gilver is not canon, the DMC1 novel is entirely contradicted by DMC3, unless they make a new event where Vergil went by Gilver only for a short time before going by Vergil again.

Noticed this in the demo but its not talked about much, they put a ton of effort into the feel of the game. Lots of surprising music changes. The van being the upgrade hub was a nice touch

The review copies obviously won't start leaking everything till monday and beyond, those who recieved don't want to get blacklisted. When shit leaks too early it wasn't by review copies, it is by some retailer that broke the release date and that's a guaranteed blacklisting, I think retailers are getting more cautious after the past breachings.
Let's predict the final boss phases.

I don't think the final battle will be personal, the trophy for it is "Battle of the Ages" which follows the name scheme from DMC1's final mission "Legendary Battle" so I think it will be some grandiose battle across realms again.
It looks like Sin DT Dante vs Full Power Urizen will be DMC5's version of Dante vs Savior. The only difference is that Dante vs Urizen will be fun because Majin.
I'm hoping that you get to choose who to use for the final boss fights but that would probably be too much work cutscene wise if they wanted to make it unique for everyone.

I feel like Nero vs Vergil can be both personal and grandiose. Vergil has Yamato, and he would probably have some access to some of Urizen's tree powers.
If the recent trailer is anything to go by, the top of the tree is at the highest point of Earth's atmosphere, so Nero's duel with Vergil would overlook the Earth.
It's kinda similar to how Sparda DT Dante's fight with Mundus took place in space. Shit, maybe the last phase of Nero vs Vergil will take place on the moon. Correct me if I'm wrong, Itsuno wanted Dragon's Dogma to have an epic segment on the moon, and the moon is very visible near the top of the tree (pic related.) So why not do it in DMC5?
