>>Story is about the struggle of redguards against the Thalmor
Christ. There better be a third option.
I’m scared shitless that there will be a dialogue wheel and voiced pc. Pls tell me it won’t happen.
Thalmor will invade by sea this time. The petty kingdoms of High Rock will get involved as the Empire has collapsed and lost control over the provinces.
>physics engine still directly tied to frame-rate so that the game breaks running above 30fps
THANK YOU BETHESDA. TRULY A AAA STUDIO.
it won’t happen user
There will be a voiced PC but no dialogue wheel.
fallout with swords and I don't even mean it in a meymey way
en.uesp.net
Tell me if you notice a pattern.
Just cut the middle man and remove dialogue choices altogether.
no VR no buy
>Broken day 1
>Nearly unplayable levels of bugged week 1
>Combat identical to skyrim
>less perks and skills overall, skills ranging from a 1-100 scale with really only increments of 25 really mattering
>perks are the same old boring 5-10% increased damage/armor etc with no real specialization options or interesting mechanics
>coolie cutter main story, 1 or 2 guild quests actually being pretty good.
>higher emphasis on gimmicky "survival" mechanics such as building your own house/camp that make indie early access walking sims look professional
>big open world with tons of shit to explore and attention to detail once again being the vehicle that carries the game through, despite everything else either being fundamentally boring, broken, our done better in other games
You know, a Bethesda game.
Only functionality with a cash shop, after how successful fallout 76 was I can't see it going any other way now.
Fallout 76 was sold on the companies own launcher which meant nobody got 30% of the sales, it has a cash shop and it was almost all asset flips from fallout4. It also sold over 2 million copies in a week.
I hope that it is so shitty that it kills bethesda but the realistic expectations are
>Butchered rpg like Fallout 4
>Mediocre game
>Gamebryo
>Shitty combat
But it will still be GOTY because they'll find a gimmick to appeal to sois like FUS RO DAH or le epic beard or something
> Retcons established lore
Screwing up your fanfics isn't a retcon MK.
What do you mean?
>shitting on Kirkbride
You're a real hero, buddy. He was only guy to ever do anything of any substance to the IP. Bethesda have been riding his coat-tail for the past 15 fucking years.
>directly contradict things said in previous games and books in the game itself
>fanfic
didn't bethesda says their fallout 4 voiced pc was a mistake in hindsight?
Will be made in Niggerfell so they can call you racist for criticizing it and for games "journalists" being lenient to it
will be worse that fallout 76 and full of niggers, will never play, TES is dead, accept it...
No, I think Todd was talking about the dialogue wheel. I doubt they’re ever going to ditch voiced PC.
It won't be or feel like an RPG but everyone will say it is
It won't come out till late 2022 at the absolute earliest.
>Orsinum
I seriously haven't considered this. I thought they blew their load with dragons in skyrim because nothing is more generic or 'awe inspiring' in fantasy then dragons. But they could just do orcs. They can just ape a Helm's Deep siege for a trailer and then shocking twist: the orcs win, one takes off their helmet, turns to the camera and smiles as the music swells. Then brag about how the game is about kingdom building which means gathering resources to mange the new Orsinum.
And yet it will feel as if they didnt start working on it till 2022.
>mfw everything i can come up with to bastardize the TES franchise has already happened
>card games
>battle royale
>mmo
>microstransactions
>gutting all mechanics
>"streamlining" to the point of anemia
it will be dumbed down the same way Fallout 3/NV to Fallout 4 was dumbed down.
right, yeah i heard that they hated the backlash of having a forced good character in F4, but fuck me, the amount of voice lines for nord, imperial, kahjiit, argonian and elven dialects would be absolute cancer and hell on data limits
it will disappoint in new, surprising ways.
Considering the fact that Fallout 4 sold nearly 15 million more units than Fallout 3 I highly doubt this. Voiced protagonists are here to stay.
Kahjit and Argonians are just going to be chipmunk'd
Kuhlman and Peterson would like a word with you.
I know their contributions pales compared to MK fanfics on R*ddit.
His port of the Hindu faith into TES was exceedingly well done.
Once he lost the adult supervision the quality of his work has cratered.
Further casualization.
Some extras:
>Maormer pirates
>Crown vs Forebear political conflicts in Hammerfell
>Infighting between the High Rock kingdoms for supremacy
>Tribal Orcs take advantage to expand their domain, but Imperial loyalists among orcs create a disarray.
Even in skyrim, your dialogue choices have never been more than half a sentence long. I won't be surprised if the protagonist is voiced by the same 5 actors that voice every other npc.
>Cinematic slow walk
>Even shittier selection of actually usefull spells
>More skill tree bullshit + no classes
>Even less reasons to choose a rase for anything besides looks
>Skyrim characters and refrences where ever you go, pretty much how much Fallout 4 was similar to Fallout 3
>Dragon born went to do something and was never heard from again
>No roleplaying options at all, you can either agree to a quest or just leave it waiting for the rest of eternity
I honestly can't even imagine how they could make it worse than F4 and 76, but I'm sure I will be surprised.
>Once he lost the adult supervision the quality of his work has cratered.
Well that summarizes things very well.
>procedural generated dungeons.
>procedural quests, even for factions, with 3 out of 10 quests in the storyline being actual scripted events
>set in hammerfal / high rock
>SJW politics shoe horned in
I have no expectations but I am sure to be disappointed. Bethesda has a real knack for making games worse than you expect.
not even mods will save Skyrim 2 now with the creation club meme killing any chances of it having a healthy, free modding community
So, Daggerfall?
>Every dungeon is a draugr dungeon
Skyrim's dungeons are already so ridiculously streamlined and copypasted that they might as well be procedural, at least random generation could make some interesting weirdness and allow for crazy mods expanding it.
What do you think are the odds that it ends up being poorly received in general? AAA studios have been getting reamed recently.
will continue the elder scrolls tradition of not being able to decide if its a stat focused RPG game, immersion focused adventure game, or action focused combat game, and fail at all three of it.
>Empire collapses
>many orcs from the legion move to Orsinum
>They implement a strict military dictatorship modeled on the Imperial Legion and mobilize a powerful army
>Orsinum rapidly expands as Hammerfell is war-ravaged and High Rock is in civil war
Holy shit, now I want this.
In 76 they added fast travel from interiors.
I expect this will make the dungeons much better.
Now they won't have to put the exit near the end or do the loop around thing to avoid the tedious trek back through the dungeons.
that was ridiculous that. i fucking hated how there was a back door everywhere in Skyrim.
>mfw it will be better than anyone excepts
That only makes it worse, now there's absolutely zero sense of exploration and being lost in a big dungeon.
I unironically liked the Oblivion Ayleid ruins even though they looked extremely copypaste, it had a nice balance of alternate paths and gotchas without being a complete maze.
You must be hate Morrowind too.
It's still a long time away. I think it all depends on how Starfield is received. E3 is soon man
same user, walking back to leave the dungeon and discovering a room or passage you missed compared to convenient barred doors and drops from ledges leading back to exits
sand zombie* dungeon
I hate this picture, because Blackreach and the big dlc Dungeons exist.
Nice English. I haven't played Morrowind.
I don't think they will add voiced protag BUT they for sure will fuck everything else up
Worst case
>No skills, they use the perk system from FO4
>Crafting system from 4
>Fucking half ass settlement system
>Replace Power Armor with Daedric Armor, you need souls to power it (actually this sounds kinda neat, maybe it can make you hostile to guards and shit)
>Voiced protag, same actor for multiple races
>Dialogue wheel: hate elves, no opinion, sarcastic
Best case
>Expand the skill system from Skyrim
>No multiplayer
>Better combat
>Bring back spell making
Black reach is just a one big room with like two quests in it, otherwise its just something that connects other dungeons.
Todd will deliver the goods, as he always does
>certain dungeons become potential settlement locations
Blacked.
Alls I'm sayin
>Replace Power Armor with Daedric Armor
>not sick ass Dwemer steam armor
>no settlement mode
>but Beth leaves all the code in
>based kingath comes and adds it in
>beth releases DLC with a gimped version of the mod
It's going to be shit
fallout 4 without guns
this but unironically
samefag
Why haven't you joined the winning team yet?
>OpenMW
>Fully open source
>Built in multiplayer
>Soon to allow for a dehardcoded Morrowind
>Can be used on Android
>Eventually will support Oblivion and Skyrim
My point still stands. The picture is incredibly dishonest and I would still consider Blackreach a dungeon no matter how it's solved InEngine. The Soul Cairn is also a dungeon. Many dwemer ruins are gigantic.
all me:^)
no just hear me out...
hearthfire style settlements, so the settlement is fixed, you just build it over time. you can get "blueprints" from dungeon diving to build lost technology, such as dwemer guardians, dunmer levitation pads for larger structures, aeylid mana wells, oblivion gate challenge arenas etc
i dunno i may be weird about that but i liked just having a personal project outside of any questline to complete
>still runs on GameBryo
its not a prediction if its confirmed.
It will be shit like fallout4 and will have to upgrade my computer again just to play it with no obvious improvement.
I want the settlement shit to stay honestly I had a lot of fun with it
>Implying they're not going to introduce customizable magic crossbows. Which includes magazine-feed.
good to know i'm not alone
Skyrim 2 will never be as popular as Skyrim since they had the luck of releasing the game right during peak Game of Thrones normie hype, it will be a guaranteed flop since game companies are too retarded to realize how fads work.
perk system from fallout 4 was better than skyrims at least.
It will be shit. I'll post a few guesses and at least 3 of them will be in.
>Skills will be further dumbed down
>Perks will be more streamlined like Fallout 4
>Main quest will be just as bad and linear if not worse than Skyrim.
>No more branching paths. Cheevo hunters and "gamers" only have time for one playthrough. Every guild, quest, dialogue will be accessible in one playthrough.
>Dragons will return
>Shouts will return in some form
>They will make LDB fuck off to Hermie Mora
>It will be in a human province
>It will take inspiration of the current popular fantasy show. Probably Wheel of Time. They did it for LOTR and ASOIAF.
>You will instantly be declared the chosen Hero of X
>Cities will be tiny
>No open cities
the only way i could see a rapid fire crossbow is if they went to akavir, being the asiatic continent and all that...
Same engine and buggy as shut pretty much all Bethesda games
but they can't put a fallout 4 style perk system in, they already took the basic stats out of elder scrolls in favour of perk trees
>Cheevo hunters
they don't even exist anymore
Puzzles will consist of matching shapes and holes.
>ASOIAF
GoT and Skyrim released in the same year retard and the books were never that popular before the series.
i just wanted an atmora game...
Is it too much to ask that they are afraid of repeating 76 and make a great game?
I wouldn't be entirely opposed to it if it were better implemented. Hell it could even be comfy if you could become a mayor or Baron of a camp that eventually becomes a town.
It will get old quickly if it has the same awful building system and if they're under attack constantly. It will be silly if monsters and bandits keep attacking the player's saved camps even though they could attack other things theoretically.
I do think that since it most likely will be in hammerfell, I do think it would be neat to have a caravan system. Like you could be a hired guard to escort caravans or you could buy your own eventually to make mad dosh. The more valuable the caravan, the more likely it is to be attacked by high level NPCs and monsters.
Or if you're an evil character, you can choose to rob caravans instead. But beware, caravan guards are powerful and you will get a bounty for attacking.
They'll make the perk tree in the same style as the Fallout 4 perk system. They will split it into
>Strength
>Magic
>Stealth
Those 3 stats branch off to the perks we know.
>imagine if they allowed you to be a bandit lord, stealing, slaving and smuggling
It was plenty popular. Just not by every single normalfag.
>tor.com
is this fucking Red Dead?
i hope they kinda just rip off this one
>implying bethdrones could make sense of that
Itll be fun enough. I believe in Todd.
>Implying we will ever get spears again
I just fucking hope that guilds interact in some meaningful way and your accomplishments actually get acknowledged. It was fucking ridiculous in Oblivion when some Thieves Guild mook is asking you to steal the ice staff out of the Archmage's quarters and acting like it's some big-brained high IQ plan when you are already the Archmage. The Fighters and Mages Guilds should work together at some point, maybe the same for the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood.
big sad me know probably true yes? bad time
The hell is this from? Looks cool as hell.
>they tried to add them to skyrim, but gave up
Trainwiz explained the issue. Apparently they'd have to make an entirely new weapon connect physics thing for spears to work. They made all weapons baseball bat style. But spears working from the tip isn't programmed in.
>filename
it is the skill tree for salt and sanctuary, a metrovania wearing the cum of dark souls after sucking them off
How much info are we going to get in the next e3? The focus will be on starfield, so i guess title reveal and region and that's it?
It's going to look like an early 7 gen game.
my guess is none
Looks retarded and linked trees remove the aspect of specialization and roles.
>How much info are we going to get in the next e3?
Zero. We'll get Starfield info and that's it.
Also Skyrim: SE:SE Ps5 and Xbox Two port
Yea Forums told me roughly a year ago that with OpenMW there will be tons of user made content for Morrowind. Now it's as barren as it was.
Do you think High Rock is more likely if there will be a settlement system? With all those fragmented realms it would make sense.
GOD DAMNIT I JUST WANT THEM
That's because OpenMW hasn't hit 1.0 yet. Once it does they'll start working on dehardcoding the mechanics of Morrowind which will open it up to amazing mods. Hell it can already load Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout maps.
spellsword, nightblade, bard, assassin, ranger, battlemage
TES has always had cross classes
Me too. I think bgs should also add a System like dark Souls that allows weapons to be used both one- and twohanded.
i know a couple of mods that added halberds and such
it's gonna make whatever's good with morrobliviowind bad by association
we can dream user
Classes are dumb and they should always be classless systems.
goddamn commie, Elewen would like a word with you
Akavir will be the setting
I am Elenwen. Praise the Ni-Eight.
weeb scrolls 4 lyfe
It will stain TES just like F76 stained Fallout.
I hope it will happen. I would enjoy killing Vivec with Yea Forums frens.
actually yes. they will be doing a return to form of what daggerfall was but without any of the good stuff.
it just works
>won't be released
>Give me your predictions Yea Forums
Bioware will be shuttdown within 2 years tops.
>uses volumetric fog inside dungeons for no goddamned reason at all and you'll need a mod to disable it because it fucking tanks the performance
>washed out colors
>geometrical complexity of early PS3 games
>Bethesda forgets to add a FOV slider
>forgets
More like can't since altering FOV breaks the game.
>A bug that's funny
>a bug that ruins saves and is very prevalent
Version 1.0 having bugs that break savegames dozens of hours in is pretty much a Bethesda staple, I have no idea why anyone would play their games on release.
good ol' patch culture
end my life.
skyrim 2
>>no perks
>>no skills
>>only 2 races, nord and elf
>>you only have to press one button throughout the whole game
>>you are dragonborn 2
>>literally a suicide for bethesda as a dev, the last game they'll ever make
xDd
Ironically I'd be okay with this if it is set in the past during the Age of Heroes. That's far back they can significantly change the look of every location and even have new ones.
I am gonna be super bold here and say it will be the worse Bethesda RPG yet...
It will be dumbed down even more than Skyrim, be loaded with MTX, loot boxes and paid mods and will be buggy as hell.
You know that this is their last shot at redemption, right? With the fucking backlash of FO76, they've probably pulled their nuts up and started to worry about how to actually make a good game. I'm pretty sure they know that if they fuck TESVI up, they're done for as a major AAA dev.
I honestly think they'll try to make a good RPG this time. They'll probably listen to a good amount of the criticism they've gotten over the years, and pull through to make an okay game.
That's what I thought after Skyrim, what I hoped after Fallout 4, but after 76 there is no doubt in my mind. It will suck. You are like a battered houswife always returning to her violent husband. Just go somewhere else. There are good devs/games out there. Bethesda isn't one of them anymore.
A game where Nords rape snow elf women when?
Not the guy you are talking to, but I enjoyed Skyrim. I agree that Fallout 4 was boring, though and made me lose interest in the Franchise. Obviously didn't buy 76. I think Starfield will show us, if BGS can still make good RPGs.
Skyrim improved upon some things people complained about Oblivion but then ruined things people didn't complain about, never doubt Bethesda's incompetence.
The best we can hope for is a good modding platform, SSE fixed the biggest issue which was the 32-bit memory limit and made the game in general more stable so there's hope.
Skyrim got really good scores, the fans thought it was pretty good, and the normies loved it.
FO4 got pretty good scores, but a lot of the fans disliked it, and the normies thought it was okay, but not as mind blowing as FO3 or Skyrim.
FO76 got shitty scores, the fans hated it, and the normies also hated it. This is the point where Bethesda most likely will start to take the criticism seriously. They aren't stupid, only lazy. They KNOW it'll be no turning back if they fuck up TESVI.
Starfield is a whole other story tho. It was pretty much fucked from the start.
>will take inspiration from the Wheel of Time
I actually want this
I didn't hate Skyrim, but it continued Bethesdas quest to gutt every single thing that makes a game an RPG but the things even a literal retard can handle, because that's what sells. FO4 was a disgrace and I can't see a Fallout fan defending it.
vagene plants
youtube.com
F76 was just an experimental spin-off, I don't think they will take any of the criticism by heart.
> Bugs that will take years to fix
> Boring story
> Even less role-playing elements
> Fallout 4-like perk system
> Dialogue wheel
> More crafting and settlement building
> Magic is even shittier than in Skyrim
I hope I will be pleasantly surprised but seing Bethesta being absolute cunts in the last years I'm pretty sure everything I predicted will come true. This will probably be the first TES game I won't play.
>streamlined skill tree now it's just Magic, Combat and Stealth
>only one handed swords and bows are viable just like in Skyrim
>you can become a guild leader after 2 hours, every guild serves some daedra including the thieves
>if any place sounded outlandish in the lore fucking retcon it and make it as generic as possible
>last boss will be easier than the shit you fight in mid game
>interesting locations and good looking armor sets will appear in the DLCs
>game will get a seizure every 2 hours but that's ok mods will fix it why would anyone expect beta testers do their fucking job what are you a communist
>only one magic school will be viable
>game will have a feature that sounds nice on paper but will be extremely disappointing you know like flying on a dragon in Skyrim
>at least 5 mods to make the game not feel like a tech demo for something that already feels outdated
Yes, but look at the amount of bullshit they've been through in the span of 4 months because of that game. They're a fucking laughing stock at this point. Even the normies think their handling of all the bullshit that happened because of FO76 is fucking pathetic.
If they stop making tedium sims they will be fine.
They have a hard number on how many enjoy that.
Around 1.4 million bought it but I have no idea on the retention rate.
They do and that is the tedium enthuisiast's fanbase.
>>Expand the skill system from Skyrim
>>No multiplayer
>>Better combat
>>Bring back spell making
As much as I would love it, this shit will never happen. Can you remember one time when a game stiped away core machanics and the put it back in? Complex skill systems and spell making are way to complicated for the normie audience. They will never throw older neckbeard fans a bone when they can get 100 new buyers for every butthurt fan of the old games that will turn away from the game
I want Oblivion speech minigame back.
It was comfy max.
This looks complex but most of the options are just stat bonuses. Salt and sanctuary was still dope though.
>Give me your predictions Yea Forums
That I wont buy it, probably at least for a year or 2 if not ever. FO76 has left me a broken gamer, I have nothing left but contempt for modern big titles now. I don't even hate them any more, I am beyond hatred for Bethesda, I am now in outright contempt. They ARE exactly like EA and deserve the same wariness. If you buy a bethesda game at this point then honestly you only deserve pity and scorn.
Walk away lads, keep your dignity and last shred of self respect and simply just walk away. If you cant do even that after all that you have seen, then you are sad and pathetic, just like all modern gamers. As bad as any anime fan has ever been.
Redfall
Fall of the Empire, prelude to Landfall. Numidium is the final boss
>FO76 has left me a broken gamer
Cringe
If it took you this many games to realize bethesda is shit and let you a sad g4m3r then you are a fucking moron
Oh fuck me, I completely forgot about the voiced protagonists. That would unironically fucking destroy TES VI
It will be shit but everyone will be hype as fuck for it and normies will eat it up and call it gotyay
Fallout 76 but with swords
I don't think we will ever see a voiced PC in TES, because the races would would need different voice actors, 20 different voice actors just for the Player character. Not gonna happen.
This
And I'm not even half way through the thread.
This but unironicaly
