Looks like shit and souless
Sick, i just don't like Link's sprite, not as much soul as the original.
Hi it's me nintendo with a link's awakening remaster screenshot!
SOUL
But also kind of pointless
Remaster apologist need to gassed
LLOL jk, this is what you get faggot, now pay for our nes games again.
Why are the Buzz Blobs chuchus?
Looks just like Minish Cap.
This looks better lol
Still looks like shit
Either use Minish cap's artstyle or hand drawn graphics
Or make a fucking full blown AAA 3D remake since I don't wanna pay $60 for a literal 1:1 remake of a 20 year old GB game that I can beat in less than 5 hours
Link's Awakening should not have been remade.
A Link Between Worlds was almost perfect, it just needed a unique setting and a better balanced difficulty (not easy as shit like on normal but not enemies literally one/two-shotting you like on hero mode). They also could have maybe reworked/replaced the item rental shop. But it was a huge step up for 2D Zelda in terms of core gameplay. Why the fuck are they reskinning a 1993 Gameboy game? LA is a good game but it didn't need to be covered in plastic and blur effects for $60.
Showing one off shots using other artstyles, yeah that'll show them!
>pixel shit
um sweetie we have 3d now
Looks like every Not-Zelda released in the last decade, most notably Moonlighter.
Remaking a game without explicitly adding a major content overhaul is abhorrent and I despise this Square-Enix type initiative by Nintendo to just constantly re-release their old titles as an excuse for their failures in game design for the last two decades.
I'd like it if they just reused the minish cap sprites desu.
Will modern gamers be able to beat the last three shrines ?
Hey at least FFVIIR actually looks like a new game. It may take forever to come out and ultimately end up a disappointment but at least it's not a literal reskin. Of course there are people out there who unironically want FFVII to remain identical content-wise but with better graphics, because just playing the original isn't good enough apparently.
What's so notable about the last three shrines? Haven't played this shit in forever, but I'm coming up on it after ALTTP.
Why didn't they remake Zelda II? You know, a game that could actually use a proper remake. Fuck Nintendo
wtf nintendo hire this man!!
>Link's Awakening should not have been remade.
the game was good, but it was heavily limited by 90s design flaws like foever scrolling text and cumbersome items and menus
to really re-introduce it to a new generation, modern conveniences like not sitting through unskippable text everytime you accidentally touch a rock is necessary
>but it didn't need to be covered in plastic and blur effects for $60.
i love the art style
its really cute
they look like the earthbound clay figures from nintendo power
Complex puzzles in which you have to navigate whole floors to solve.
I honestly don't think a handful of QoL features is worth $60, or the resources that Nintendo spent on making the game (that could have been spent on something new). And I would personally call 8-way movement and tile-based maps a limitation of "90s design flaws". This is a regression from ALBW in terms of core gameplay. ALBW actually took advantage of the 3DS' improved hardware and adds new mechanics, LA does the opposite and purposefully goes backwards (excluding the lack of screen transitions that really doesn't matter if the level design is unchanged). It's a mostly literal simulation of a Gameboy game rather than a new 2D Zelda built with the Switch in mind.
this looks so much better than the official product holy shit
Thanks bro. Here's your Zelda 1 remaster.
