Sorry you're going through that, user. Maybe a more reflective perspective on violence is just a part of your process of growing up. I don't think it's necessarily unnatural to feel things when witnessing virtual gory shit like that.
Brains are weird and they are all different, and some are affected by virtual violence even if fully aware that the violence is simulated and there is no actual pain felt by a living being.
There are plenty of games that aren't outlandishly violent, but it's disproportionately favored towards it. I just glanced over my games library and without consciously buying them for the violence, basically all of them include violence, and a good chunk of them gory and bloody.
I think the brain-videogame interaction is interesting as fuck. There is so much to learn about it, including your perspective.

You should try getting into shmups, they aren't particularly gruesome and require quick reactions. Lots of them on PC, crediting an easy one like ChoRenSha should give you an idea if the genre's good for you.
