I was going for neutral on my first run. Everything was good until the final binary choice, which really screwed things up. So I had to replay the infernal and blasted levels, pick all the chaos options and then choose law at the end to get neutral.

If you got the white ending accidentally then you're a retard. If you got the Law or Chaos ending then there isn't a lot of real content missed. The Neutral route goes through both the final Law and Chaos dungeons and makes you do most side quests but other than that it's just extra cutscenes

Do demons in my stock (not active in party) gain EXP too? Should I worry too much about leveling or just fuse the shit out of everything?

Don't worry too much about levelling them

Depends on the game, usually they don't gain any exp unless they fight. Generally unless you really have a thing for a specific demon you should be mostly focused on fusing since leveling a demon gets progressively more difficult and they will fall behind the curve within a few levels. Most of the time you only want to level them until they get a good spell to pass on and them fuse them up into something better.

In IVA I believe you can get an app that gives exp to stock demons to deal with that. Also you'll get apps that will give you hp and mp for walking around, just get the mp one and you can freely media whenever you are low on hp
