Why are PAL regions always ignored in video gaming?

It used to be pretty bad but thanks to digital downloads and timezones, us aussies get everything before NA by nearly a whole day.

Fear not, the PlayStation Classic uses the glorious PAL versions.

Doesn't change the fact the PAL region got deprived of some of the most iconic RPGs from that gen

WW2 was not enough.

This game alone is better than anything OP posted.

This was mostly due to translation costs. Sometimes the games wouldn't be ported at all because they couldn't be bothered to translate them

all of those look very generic for being iconic. also i guess you could've always bought bootlegs. that's what most people did anyway in the 90s.

You do know that they all of these games are avaiable in PAL regions now right? Also nowadays, they get the games the same day as the rest of the world. ยจ

Vast majority of people in PAL dont care about weebshit

But PAL doesn't want any translations. English is fine. Translated games are horseshit, it makes buuying used games a hell because you don't know about loose game is it in fucking German or not.

Don't worry, you didn't miss out on anything special

retard

Literally the only advantage of being a PALfag was having access to RGB on nearly every consumer TV.

For a while until the time of the internet taking off strongly enough to get translators for cheap, it just wasn't worth it for developers to translate games

The best is when we get it early and NZ also gets it AU time so you can watch them freak out about it not unlocking for a couple of hours before the game drops.

Companies just assume you guys are busy with FIFA and pass you over

it's a shame really

Europe got a ton of great games America didn't get

> Last Window
> Doshin the Giant
> Another Code R
> Kuru Kuru Kururin
> Gregory Horror Show
> Go Go Cosmo Cops
> Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland
> Asterix
> Devil World
> Rakugakids
> Mr. Gimmick
> Whirlo
> Pop'N Twinbee: Rainbow Bell Adventures

And a ton more

>all that trash no one ever gave two shit about
sad, europoor, sad.

Terranigma is miles better than FF6 and Chrono Trigger, but nostalgic people here in the US refuse to admit it or even acknowledge its existence. You PALfags deserved it for having to put up with 50Hz and lack of jrpgs.

I care about them. Maybe try acquiring some taste (and I'm talking about video games, not food).

Terranigma and the whole Gaia trilogy is underrated Action RPG kino.

That was years ago, and it was because they didn't care much for games and were less impulsive than usa

Also, they need to translate their games to more languages as they are fewer English speaking people there making them harder to sell, USA was much cheaper and safer

> The absolute state of Amerifats

why are you such a bitch, you know you can download these, right? region exclusivity isn't a thing on the internet
oh wait, you'll probably get arrested for it lol

Because Yuropoors are literally communist subhuman and deserve this kind of treatment (and worse)

The best of that continent left hundreds of years ago and evolved into Americans

Literally nobody at the time even understood what that meant, though. I don't think I ever saw proper A/V cables until 2006 or so, EVERYBODY used the bundled composite converters, if you were lucky you might see a component cable.

>not having a hacked psx that can play $1 pirate discs
retards

They don't contribute anything. Rare and Ubisoft are the only notable European devs, and they don't make good games anymore. And there's less people buying games in Europe, plus all the languages to be translated into is added expense. Europe isn't worth the hassle and they should have destroyed themselves in WW2.

As an Amerifat I'm still jealous we didn't officially get this in any form. I played Terranigma for the first time about 4 years ago and it easily shot up into my top 5 games. Far more enjoyable than most of the Square tripe that made it to the SNES (IMO only Chrono Trigger and SMRPG come close to Terranigma's quality).

Playing it again recently with the 60Hz patch was all the sweeter.

There are still many people in Yuropoor who refuse to watch undubbed movie.

That was the best

One of many reasons why it sucks balls.

Earthbound was a financial disaster for Nintendo of America since nobody bought it. Not surprising that the European branch didn't bother.

Most of the others is just Square being cheap and lazy.

It baffles me how they managed to fuck up "gross out" marketing when the 90s was all about gross out humor.

I'm just glad EB and the Mother series carved out enough of a large cult following many years later where Nintendo finally began to listen. If the SNES Classic came out just a couple years before it did, there's no chance in hell it would've had EB.

Based.
