Epic $$$$$$$

Based

can we have one fucking example or the cock your are sucking needs all of your attention?

>epic wants to make the market more competitive
>brings exclusivity
>kills the most consumer-friendly platform

Attached: bartfront.jpg (228x213, 7K)

I am still buying games from GOG and i will never buy from Epic. The sad part is that low IQ zoomers are funding Epic's cancer trough Fortnight and even with me buying hundreds of games on GOG( i am even buying games day one like DOS2 and Pathfinder), i alone am not enough.

I can't wait to see the Epic shilling when this inevitably happens.
>muh competition!
Then again, devs who'd consider Epic Store as a platform probably already are kikes who wouldn't give GoG a chance anyway

>due to their new lineup "epic old games" - will be exclusive & free for two weeks on epic store on Saturday, March 2nd. ;-)
It's over bros, the zoomers have won, the future is always online, triple-layered DRM.

Attached: 1532549916886.jpg (912x927, 101K)

gog makes it too easy to pirate games

Pirates will pirate either way, only paying customers get fucked.

its easy to pirate either way, you dont fight piracy with anti-temper, you offer better services

>gog makes it too easy to pirate games
YES. because Steam has an anti piracy method so strong that you literally can't swipe Steam games off the PirateBay website.

Attached: shake.gif (500x230, 677K)

I don't care. I am a consumer and i like buying my games from GOG cus they are DRM free. DRM does not stop pirates, it fuck over paying consumers.

oh yes. it's harder to use installers if it's not gog installer. good logic. i like it.
hell i just realized that installers are almost dead. click something on steam etc. and it just installs. what a load of bullshit.

>Metro Exodus

That sure was very hard.

This bitch definitely needs bigger tits.

Where do you guys get your games now that GoD is down? I just wanted one game and I didn't get it because I thought it was always gonna be there.

Glad we didn't release this on GoG, piartes will never ever play our game without paying!
Would have bought it day 1, good game.

There was definitely fan art of her with bigger tits.

what games? all they have is indie trash now

some archive a dude made after scene games and good old downloads was shut down by salty competition. so convenient, got a few games, but now i wish I had gotten more.

What is wrong with this faggy generation?

Attached: Capture.png (609x652, 396K)

GoG needs to die, it ruins competition.

They just gotta pull out all the stops and go full eroge. Thirsty weebs will abandon valves inconsistent censorship and flock to their new containment service.

Some true believers don't want Steam to have any competition at all. There's no rational reason for it, it's just religious worship of a company that hasn't made a good game in ten years.

Pic related, here's your official answer:
"We never removed a game from being able to be downloaded before, but there might be exceptions depending on the publisher, I recommend saving all the installers just in case"
Yeah, that just screams safety, retard

EPIC OLD GAMES STORE!

>your account gets locked if they find you
Fucking kek, I literally have fucking pirated GoG games on my account in addition to paid games, you have no fucking idea what you're talking about or even what GoG Galaxy is for.
Stick to consoles.

If you're gonna break their tos why buy the games in the first place? It makes you feel goodie? You are the walking definition of a cuck

Being able to redownload is a bonus, nothing else.
When you buy a game and download the installer files you are responsible to make backups, just like in the old days with "physical" releases.
No other plattform even lets you do this.

Yeah, call me when they actually have to de-list a game, until then go and fuck yourself you faggot piece of shit.

You think it can't happen to steam or epic games? GOG at least give you opportunity to save your games forever and install them whenever you want without online connection

Attached: 1527853923544.jpg (3840x2160, 780K)

Here you go everyone, stop listening to the gog shillers

god.freevar.com/archive.html

Gog doesn't sell games, they sell licences just like any other platform.
Gog doesn't give you a true drm free experience, share a game and get fucked, Steam has Family Sharing that is based about sharing games.
Gog doesn't benefits the consumer at all, when they die you will lose everything, saving installers is not your responsibility, when you buy a product you keep it, no matter what the shillers tell you.

Have a good day.

You do know you can also backup the games you bought in Steam and keep them stuck in offline mode forever and individually, right?

i can see your nose

You are mentally i'll. Go and kill yourself.

chinks have big noses?

oh a 1993 unkown game it's truly over

also the nice thing about no drm is that this fags can't pull their game out.

the game is easily shareable by everyone now.

Attached: d63.jpg (600x909, 31K)

you'd still be living in a mud hut if it werent for us, get down on your knees, peasant

>you can also backup the games you bought in Steam and keep them stuck in offline mode
What happens when you reinstall your OS?
That's right, the files become worthless, not a backup.
Kys retarded nigger.

Attached: file.png (132x160, 41K)

You copy then, the platform is entirely portable, you can even switch computers in the fly, stop talking from your ass just to shill your retarded store

>it's the steam is drm free faggot
You can't install them on a new PC. Go and spread your lies somewhere you faggot piece of shit. I can have my GOG games on my laptop, on my PC and on my new PC that i will be buying in a few months. You can't do this with your ''offline steam'' since you need to install steam and download the game. Get recked you lying piece of shit.

Source: Dude, trust me

>You do know you can also backup the games you bought in Steam and keep them stuck in offline mode forever and individually, right?
In order to do that I have to login in steam at least once, only then it works offline.

At least then tell us what the atmosphere/workplace is like

Yes, just like you need to go online to download your gog game
Yes, you can, here are the instructions:
>Make a new steam installation, anywhere
>Install your fave game
>Go into offline mode and make sure the game runs
>Go to that steam folder
>Copy everything into a usb drive
There, done, the Steam launcher is portable, doesn't need to be installed in order to run, just make sure you install the required libraries when you switch computer (which are in the folder of the game) and done, you successfully turned your Steam game into a DRM Free copy, no online required, no installation required, any computer would do

Good thing I like gog for reasons that have nothing to do with weeb pandering.

Attached: 32658695.webm (1280x720, 418K)

Oh here we go again, here's a question I can answer because I actually buy games from Steam and GOG (and other digital platforms).

Neither Steam nor GOG ever remove your right to download the games you bought after they get delisted. They're always kept on their servers forever. Delisting simply means they're no longer available for sale on the store.

Some people even make a business of hoarding Steam keys for delisted games and then selling them for mad cash because yes you can get access to a delisted game if you acquire a legit key.

A standard relativization post from Steam shitter, trying to divert attention from fact that Steam does not even let you OWN the game you pay for.

Gog is just a fucking download site. Its not "platform".

I installed Galaxy for Pathfinder to keep up with all those updates. I love the game but it was very buggy at launch. Thankfully the developers stuck with it and kept fixing and fixing and fixing and fixing...

Where are these from and where can I get more?

>In this order in terms of being better for customers:

>i work at gog and its a corporate shithole like any other.
they employ less than 200 people you lying piece of shit. their "layoff wave" was literally 12 people and that was a big impact on the company. it's not a "huge corporate shit hole like any other" by any metric.

and when the industry crashes from this magical event you will have nothing but I will have tens of thousands of games to play.

You are getting baited really hard right now braindeadnigger-kun

Not him but why would you need to trade in your gog games? You can literally copy them because they're drm free. It's just that no one is willing to rebuy them because of the fact you can copy them. But it;s possible to trade them if you're going to be honest, just cut and paste to thumbdrive instead of copy/paste and then trade that way

t. recently sacked janny

Sooo....do you guys wanna play fortnight to celebrate?

Yeah right, you're just gonna hoard them but not even play them. Who are you kidding, you're gonna go back to DOTA2 or CS:GO because you're too lazy to even try them. You're just wasting storage space, which you still have to pay for.

JUST POST A FUCKING SCREENSHOT INSTEAD OF MAKING ME OPEN THIS IN INCOGNITO BECAUSE OF JACKS RETARDED RATE LIMITING
FUCK EVERYONE THAT POSTS DIRECT LINKS TO TWITTER

Searching "epic old games store" on Google reveals that the phrase hasn't ever been used by Epic and The 7th Guest is still up for sale on GOG. What the fuck are you all talking about.

>Gog is gonna shut down and you'll have no games
But I have all installers on my hdd.

Attached: 1526681260058.jpg (1600x900, 207K)

Point is it doesn't allow people to just play the game the day it comes out, or in some cases, days before it's official release. That's why DRM exists. If it protects month 1, it's an exceptional DRM product. week 1 it's good. anything under and it's not good at all.

It's a online store, you can't fuck it, they fuck you.

I remember the robes and the candles. If you didn't get that it was a joke, you are retarded.

It just says they are planning to port the 7th guest and their other games to more places. It doesn't say anything about gog.

What he said is the truth tho

>hey guys I conveniently have inside knowledge about the vague topic of this thread

fucking retard lmao

>>You're probably too new but in short you'll lose everything not backed up in an instant.
>calls someone too new WHEN HE LITERALLY JUST DISCOVERED THE INTERNET FOR THE FIRST TIME
Yeah no shit remote services can go away. But with GOG "backed up" means "downloaded the DRM free installer they give you and you can keep forever" which is trivial. Any business you deal with, including Valve, could get hit by a meteor tomorrow and vanish off the face of the planet. GOG is one of the few where it's trivial to ensure you'd lose nothing whatsoever with no additional work on your part.

Attached: 1314555.png (500x538, 9K)

Attached: 1500845632130.png (764x1058, 297K)

no examples for what? There's no advantage to having consoles any more. You get a physical disc, but then you gotta install 80 GB of data from the disc to the console storage using bluray transfer speeds. Then you gotta install the Day1 patch. That already requires you to be online. Sure you can play offline, but you still gotta wait to install the game and then you're stuck with day zero bugs because devs nowadays like to rush AAA games out in broken packages. Look at games like Anthem and Destiny, you can get a physical disc for those games but once they take their servers down that's it, your physical disc is useless and you 're still required to pay the online fee for your account to play on PSN/XLive. PC is literally the same but free online and faster download speeds + better graphics. Games nowadays on consoles have no advantage over pc anymore because even their discs ARE DRM. You buy the console to play them. You pay the price to play them online. THAT IS DRM. XOne almost became a DRM online only console.

never played either, what do I play next?

Don't bother, hes know autist. For him everything is a drm, and I mean everything, even the fact if you want physical copy you have to buy in shop, in that scenario shop is a drm.

Well, he's not wrong.

fuck of drm shill

>you'll lose everything not backed up in an instant
>not backed up

Just literally back the games up. That is the whole fucking point of GOG. It's the only store that lets you keep infinite offline backups of your games. No, Steam doesn't let you do it. No, Epic doesn't let you do it either. Only GOG enables you to actually back up your games.

GOG could shut down tomorrow and nobody would lose a single game they bought from GOG because they have the backups. If Steam shut down tomorrow, everybody loses everything.

Do you really think they didn't know the weebs would latch to it and make it their "waifu" and give them free advertisement? Steam did the same thing, before you start calling me a "steamcuck"
Anyway, thanks for pointing out exactly what he said.

Wait is that the faggot that kept spamming ''steam is DRM free so why do i need GOG?''. I thought that he killed himself.

fuck of drm shill

>keep spending more on storage goys!
kys WD shill

>>BUT IT WAS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO SAVE THE INSTALLERS!!
It literally is though. Same as on Steam or anywhere else (though other places don't allow it to the extent gog does).
A) Markets don't actually own the IP. It's completely within the power of the copyright owners to legally force them to cease any further distribution to 3rd parties, including you. You own a legit license doesn't somehow give you the legal right to have Valve or GOG or Epic continue to provide it to you.

B) Accidents, disasters, changes of ownership, bankruptcy, and so on all happen. If it's not on your own hardware (or at least on networked systems you have an independent contract with of your own) you have no way to somehow magic wand that shit away.

You can get a physical disc for pc too lol. It's the same shit as consoles but now consoles have all the pc weaknesses that consoles didn't use to have. So now there's no point. If this was last gen with 360/PS3, sure consoles had an advantage because for the most part the enitre game was on the disc which you could pop in to any consoles and play immediately. That's no longer the case. Even single player games like some Ubisoft games want you to connect online. You're getting DRM in your physical copies and you think you're not. You're crazy.

I bought a 1TB external hard drive for 50 euros. Stop being delusional.

How many layers of manipulation do you imagine?
The only way to really know about the character is if you were already using GOG. Not that that matter on Yea Forums: GOG's existance is vommon knowledge here. There's a reason no one get mad about Steam-san, because nearly every person here uses it.

GoG CEO here, everything is fine and dandy, we're basically rolling in dough right now!

Classy Blazer GOG is best.
Slick, stylish and cute without being a hooker.

>share a game and get fucked
oh shit I guess I should stop playing my friend's GoG games that he's been buying and copying for me for years then?

>when they die you will lose everything
except for the fact that I still have the actual game data that I've downloaded from everything I've purchased on gog, and everything on their platform is readily available from many sites on the internet in DRM-free form should there ever be a time when I can't buy and download them from gog.

>saving installers is not your responsibility
if you're going to be a pedantic retard, neither is saving a physical copy of a game. you don't "have" to play the games you buy, but if you want to it's 100% your responsibility to keep your installers/physical copies.

>when you buy a product you keep it
are you trying to imply that game data isn't a real thing? or that game data on a disc is somehow more real than the exact same game data on your computer drive?

Stop arguing with the mentally ill tranny shill, post more lewds.

>can easily pick up 4 TB drives for $80-100 now
shitposting has to be at least a LITTLE believable faggot

They will once i pre-order Cyberpunk 2077 on GoG,
>still no pre-order available
I really hope they tell us that the game is almost finished when this E3 comes. I keep re-watching the gameplay reveal and get more and more hyped.

lmao not that guy but consoles require you to install the game to the hard drive/ssd from your physical disc now. Have fun with your blu-ray transfer speeds and having to replace your overpriced storage lol. Literally no advantages over a pc anymore. Espcially now with more devs trying to push their online-only games which force you to pay for access to online services.

>Hello I'll like to buy this installer to hoard
>Buy game
>Break tos and risk your friend's account if he ever gets discovered
>>But they will never discover him!
Why not fucking pirate and save the money, that's why you will remain poor

You console plebs are fucking reeeeeetarded.
This isn't NES days where you put the fucking cartridge in and it just werks.
Day 1 patches to be playable , discs that only have the installer on. You are already pretty much downloading the whole fucking game now , just wait until next gen

That's okay, it can be an anime design.
Also I forgot about Origin-chan and the others

>neither is legal
It's plenty legal, it just supposedly breaks their TOS. Not like they could ever find out anyway.

>he's so fucking poor he can't even afford storage space in 2019
it's literally less than $20 for 1TB external drives these days. how the fuck do you even afford the internet to shitpost your retarded opinions if you can't even afford $20 storage drives.

>You can get a physical disc for pc too lol
cardboard is not a physical game disc. Physical on PC has been dead for over 10 years. Now you idiots just rent games. The perfect corporate slave.

>Buy physical PC game
>Disc is just a steam installer
Haha nice

>hello im user and everyone else in the world must be taxed to cater to me
fuck off socialists

All the points you made are also shared with the other platforms, if they are the same, why even use and defend gog so blindly? No, Steam even allows you to share games without breaking any term, so Gog is actually worse, what are you trying to prove?

Except you own your games unlike on PC. Keep deflecting, it's truly pathetic.

You just hate spending money on anything, huh?

>gog-chan fanart
>THEY ALL FORGET THE GALAXY HAIR
I hate it.

Attached: gag-chan.png (472x407, 15K)

Even though I tell you what to play, you're not actually going to play it. You're just pirating them for fun. You don't even play video games do you? Running the launcher doesn't count as playing them. You have to beat them from start to finish on the hardest difficulty. You're too busy looking for games to download that you forget to play them.

There is no point in preorder tho. It won't get any additional content in the game, but I suspect psychically preorder might have pen and paper game

>But they will never discover him!
it's been like 8 years. i'm pretty sure they don't have a method to track this behavior in the first place, and don't fucking care even if they did.

fucking gog shills gogs inefficient installer packs mean all games take 100-200gb so that """""$20"""" drive only holds like 3 games that is a ridiculous tax that steam doesnt have so much for drm-free

cute

Attached: 1550405931565.jpg (1600x900, 191K)

>Let me keep doing retarded thing! I love giving money to gog even if I'm breaking their terms and it would be the same as pirating!

>Hello I'll like to buy this installer to hoard
As opposed to buying this disc with the installer on it to hoard? Or with modern gen games, this piece of worthless plastic with a link to the website where you have to download the actual game from? God you're dumb.

I'm gonna try gunman chronicles. For someone who is all about "playing games" you sure hate avoiding it. Keep posting instead of playing.

Attached: gmc.png (580x537, 706K)

I just buy a game on GOG and can burn it on a DVD any time i like. Not only that but i can slap it on any physical media i like. Hell i can archive the GOG installer and split it onto 3000 floppy discs if i want. The choice of what physical media i want is with me.

I can even store a game on my phone.

lol nigger what, they've been super fucking clear that it's basically mid/late alpha stage right now. release date won't be until like 2020 or 2021 probably.

so 100% identical to Steam? wow gog shills are desperate no wonder the company is about to go under.

You mean the special edition? Well i might get that but they are yet to announce anything.

You can do that with Steam too

How many layers of manipulation do you imagine?
That's the catch. People thinking that a company wouldn't go that far just for advertisement is what makes it such an efficient tactic
I'm not sure what are you trying to do here.

>The only way to really know about the character is if you were already using GOG
No, it isn't. Just look at the thread and you'll see people posting and sharing fanart with a shirt that says "gog.com". This isn't exclusive to Yea Forums.

Good luck playing your game 10-20 years from now when your console inevitably breaks down and your console can't be replaced be cause production has stopped. If it was on pc you could just reinstall it whenever you want. You can still play windows 95 games on current OS's. And discs don't last forever either. On pc you can make copies of your installer and back it up to multiple discs just in case. Try backing up your scratched DRM-packed Xbox disc in 10 years and see if it's still readable. Then you're forced to buy it again at a $2000+ auction on ebay.
>Buy physical console game
>Disc only holds 1/4th of the game's files

Hey I'm with you on that, I'm just saying that PC is even worse. In my experiences, every game I've bought on Switch and PS4 has worked offline right out of the box. At most I've had to install a system update that's included in the physical media itself haven't had to do that since Wii U and PS3 though.

I love how you all shill Gog so hard when it does the same scummy shit the other platforms do, actually, they are worse: they were caught selling cracks, they pander to SJW and trannies, they won't even let you legally share your installer with friends as it's against their terms, what's the point of making the games drm free then? Being able to hoard the installers? Just like if you were pirating? Except, not free, not latest version and not being able to share it with anyone?
You can also hoard Steam games too the same way, you don't even need to install them.

Why would you delete such sound advice?

>They're always kept on their servers forever
until gog can't pay for them.

He pulled it out of his ass.

why is this faggot not getting eviscerated for phoneposting

stop spamming

dude even witcher 3 took nearly four years. it's not like they employ thousands of people making tons of areas takes forever but you need a rpg like that, even an action one, fleshed out pretty good or it will suck.

>Physical media

only if you buy them physically.

>i totally understand the inner workings of every video game console I buy and have intimate knowledge of how to repair their proprietary hardware, and software encryption, and I consider this common knowledge among all people who own consoles.
sure kid

>lol
ok I admit I got baited. I'll give you that. I just hope you don't purchase new consoles every generation or even every other generation, otherwise you'd be a hypocrite. But man if you can solder and do repairs, then you're already a pc gamer. Why are you pretending you're not. It's nothing to be ashamed of. If anything, pretending you're a console peasant is even more shameful.

>You mean the special edition? Well i might get that but they are yet to announce anything.
Like you said, they didn't announce anything yet but it is game based on pan and paper version so I really doubt there isn't going to be physical version with pen and paper game

>another index of dead links

>projecting this badly
Post that hakko station. You at least have a zd-915 right? Don't tell me you only know how to "build" a computer. That's baby stuff.

Don't talk in 3rd person

>Neither Steam nor GOG ever remove your right to download the games you bought after they get delisted.
They could be forced to though. They're not above the law, if a game was ever deemed illegal (nearly impossible in America given the 1A but absolutely possible elsewhere) they could be required to stop distributing it in whatever that country is. And if a copyright holder successfully revokes their license for further distribution that's that too.

>They're always kept on their servers forever. Delisting simply means they're no longer available for sale on the store.
No, that's what it has HISTORICALLY meant. But neither Steam nor GOG can PROMISE you that, because it's not up to them. The only way to 100% certainly retain any software is to have a DRM-free copy on your own hardware.

Come on user, literally nothing has changed here in the entire history of software.

Attached: science.jpg (1228x768, 106K)

He is probably the same autist that is in every Cyberpunk and Witcher thread. I love the Anonymous part of Yea Forums but this retard and his shitposting is what makes me want for us all to have an ID so i can simply filter him out forever.

yes GOG actually sells you the fucking installer of the game

you own it and can do whatever the fuck you want with it.

Oi m8 thats not very nice ya know?

>it's not like they employ thousands of people
They have 500 people working on Cyberpunk and had like 300 working on TW3. So the hope still lives, i am even hoping for this year.

No you don't own them.
Steam also allows you to do that

Attached: Screenshot_2019-02-28-11-11-54-962_com.android.chrome.png (1080x1920, 307K)

Honestly Switch is the lesser of all the evils, but it's also the furthest behind in terms of power and tech, but even they're not fully immune. Wolfenstein and DOOM require a patch just to play online. And good luck getting through DOOM without the patch that fixes almost everything but still looks like shit. In that case I'd just go with the pc version since at that point it already basically has DRM on Switch.

>Implying GOG will ever die.
>Implying any content store will pick up the slack and properly port old games to modern systems the way GOG does.
>Implying you know what the fuck you're talking about.

>He is probably the same autist that is in every Cyberpunk and Witcher thread.
You mean autist posting tranny from netflix show?
What is his problem with witcher? I Didn't play it so I barely enter witcher threads.

That would have to be the super extra special edition. The core rulebook is 254 pages thick counting the covers.

t.gog-shill

>it's literally less than $20 for 1TB external drives these days
I don't believe you. I don't live in the US but here it's close to $50-60 US for a 1TB external hard drive.

>They have 500 people working on Cyberpunk and had like 300 working on TW3. So the hope still lives, i am even hoping for this year.
No the hope doesn't, there is fucking zero chance of a game like that going from not-even-beta to 1.0 this year. And this year in reality means "like october maybe november" because no way will they possibly want to miss major buying time for such a big (for them) title. If it's not ready by then might as well push it to summer 2020.

Since Mike work close with cdpr maybe he will do special edition based on the cyberpunk 2077 version.

>my magic soldering iron fixes all the problems of old broken proprietary hardware for free!
wew lad

that's the same on everything...even in a cartridge you just own the plastic, not the game inside

>I recommend saving all the installers just in case
That's better than any DRM-based solution.

>People are calling Steam and GOG direct competitors in this thread

They...know what type of games are on GOG right? This is an elaborate troll and they're just looking for something else to bitch about because they doubled down on Epic Games store arguments?

But if you need to download a patch for that physical disc then that means you don't actually own the entire game, right? Only what's on the disc and even that's questionable because some games are online only, so the disc is just your ticket. You don't own Overwatch if you get a physical copy to play on Xbox. You own a ticket to let you in, which includes some of the installation files on that ticket which makes it easier to play faster. But that doesn't mean you own the game, only the disc. That's DRM. And that's worse than PC because at least pc tells you up front that you don't own the game plus you can change graphics settings and other options not avaialble on console. So even though you ow nthe disc, you have even less functionality than a pc user, meaning you don't even get the full game anyway. And before you mention it, yes, Overwatch sucks, but my points still stand.

Why even use Gog then? And shill it so hard?
You can do that on Steam too

are you fucking retarded?

that says that if i buy hollow knight i'm not the owner of hollow knight because the actual owner is team cherry.

no shit that applies to everything in the fucking planet.

if i buy a star wars dvd i'm the owner of star wars or i'm the owner of the fucking dvd?

holy shit i hope this is bait

also who gives a shit i have the fucking installer on my hard drive what are they going to do? stab me?

>Steam also allows you to do that
tell me how then

Attached: 1538927335291.jpg (1098x608, 125K)

Sometimes it's just fun to argue. Even if it's over dumb stuff baited by trolls.

They are going to be at the e3 again and there is no way they are going to show new trailer/gameplay without the date. They are going to annouce end of the 2019 and later it will be pushed to spring 2020

most failures are small components which are off the shelf replacements. If you don't have a few reballing stencils and a hot air station what are you doing in this conversation?

>But if you need to download a patch for that physical disc
name 1 game that requires this for you to play it.
easy mode: can't be a shit game.

I am sure that he will but i don't think that they will be giving out a 250 pages thick book with the special edition. But who knows.

Not only that, but they have shills spamming threads on Yea Forums League style

>You can do that on Steam too
How so? Most back-ups still depend of Steam.

Any source?

Not everything runs on the same terms of agreement user, obviously it doesn't apply to anything, regardless, if it doesn't matter then why do you throw shit to the other platforms saying you don't own your games there? Looks to me that is exactly the same on Gog.
Here's how you do it on Steam

>download gog installer
>transfer it between any number of devices
>requires no online, no gog platform launcher or sign in, and plays perfectly on all of them

>download steam game
>try to move the files to a new computer and play them
>requires steam launcher
>requires online login to steam account with game license attached to verify files before offline play
>many games on steam platform have their own DRM such as denuvo that requires always or consistent online connectivity

they're literally 100% the same thing!

he is probably talking sales or refurbs. in america 1tb are so worthless now people just give them away so it's easy to find them for $20-30, but there is kind of a floor price below which its not even worth it to stock used. on the other hand with 4tb drives often new at $80-120 you can still hit $20-30/tb, just have to pay more up front.

big drives now up to 16 tb and seagate says HAMR is on track for 24TB testing right now. so prices will continue to fall for a while to come.

There are multiple DRM-free games on Steam that don't even need the launcher to run mind you.

>They...know what type of games are on GOG right?
Have you not checked GOG in like the last decade? They moved away from just "old games" a long ass time ago now, in fact that was a big problem for a while because their old game practices didn't work for new ones. They only recently introduced a new script system for devs to use and submit patches with that bypasses all the old crap and is a lot faster.

Here
You too look there

>>try to move the files to a new computer and play them
>>requires steam launcher
>>requires online login to steam account with game license attached to verify files before offline play
>>many games on steam platform have their own DRM such as denuvo that requires always or consistent online connectivity
And also multiple games with extra added DRM on top of Steam's normal DRM.

They're the minority and Steam doesn't acknowledge their DRM-free status.

OK but there are many games that don't do that. I literally just copied Divinity Original Sin 2 and ran it without Steam for instance.

lmao look at this poorfag

>OK but there are many games that don't do that. I literally just copied Divinity Original Sin 2 and ran it without Steam for instance.
But on GOG there are zero games that do that.

FWIW user personally I'd be happier with steam if it just plain let you filter based on it. Like just "I don't want any games showing up with extra DRM" and let the market sort it out, that'd be enough. It's shitty they don't even do that though.

>if it doesn't matter then why do you throw shit to the other platforms saying you don't own your games there?

because on the other platform i can't launch the fucking game without steam?

holy fucking shit user

>Here's how you do it on Steam

so you don't
k thanks

Attached: 1543246149465.png (711x664, 314K)

What a fucking drooling retard

They should have accepted DRMs on their platform

what game is that from?

There are ZERO games on the Steam platform that don't require you to log in to steam and verify your account and files before allowing offline play on a new device. This is an issue with the Steam launcher and platform, not with the DRM-free games on the platform.

Circumventing this is against the Steam ToS and could potentially get your account banned.

Attached: 1527323019379.jpg (3840x2160, 774K)

its a photo taken from my room

circumventing galaxy probably will get you banned on gog too so this isn't a point in gog's favor.

c u t e !

>There are ZERO games on the Steam platform that don't require you to log in to steam and verify your account and files before allowing offline play on a new device.

You could remove the Steam launcher after you had them downloaded, yes, as you cannot download your Gog games without using the Gog site.
Not ausie.

gog.com/forum/general/how_to_help_gog
plz share you're ideas!

Good, know that is against their tos and they have the legal right to ban your account

But gog games are just install files. How do they control what you do with the files?

not him, but your logic is honestly something else

-DOOM on Switch (Technically you can play it without the patch but that would be suffering and nearly unplayable)
-Destiny 2 (Which was free on PC for a short time)
-Call of Duty Blackout (Unironically)
-Splatoon 2 if you want to play online which it was meant for anyway since the single player sucks plus Octo expansino costs money and is only downloadable if you want any kind of decent single player experience
-ARMS if you want to play online
-SNK Heroines if you want to play online etc.
-Guilty Gear Xrd
-DB fighterZ
-Tekken 7 if you want the full roster
-Soul Calibur 6 if you want 2B
-SFV
-King of Fighters 14
-Final Fantasy Online
-TERA (not sure if there's a physical disc for consoles but there was for pc so I'll include it just in case other wise if not then delete this)
-Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remake
*You said not to include a shit game but you didn't really specify the qualifications for such a classification. One man's trash is another man's treasure, if you will. And anyway why wouldn't you want the latest patches for your game? They include updates to run better, more optimization and features and even free content. Playing them offline without the patches is basically playing a beta, but one you already paid for and refuse to play the complete version which was already included with your purchase but you're stuck in the past.

No post where user says "Denuvo 5.6 days LMAO"

>pirate some games from GoG

You only have to download the gog games once. After having downloaded them you are free to store them how you want.

Canadian?

It's the same for DRM-free Steam games though. Just zip the folder or whatever.

Kill yourself, cuck.

You only have to verify the steam games once. After having verified them you are free go into offline mode and make a backup and store them how you want.

Okay I believe you.

You still need to install the steam launcher. Get skin cancer and die you Australian autismo.

>when you buy a product you keep it
When all of these launchers and storefronts die all of them will be lost. The point is that you can archive no bullshit installers that work without any strings attached

kek

transferring gog installers to other devices you own isn't against gog tos, nor is installing and playing those games on any number of devices you own.

congrats on breaking steam's terms of service.

Yes, you can keep your installers, no, you cannot share them, yes you are breaking their ToS and risking your account getting banned if you do that, yes, you might not get caught but you are still breaking their ToS, well if you insist on doing that then might as well pirate and save the money and don't risk anything, you cannot put that as a pro for Gog when they don't allow it.

Your benefits for using Gog is that you can hoard your installers and use them unlimited times, but you can also do that on Epic, Origin and Steam. There is a method to hoard your Steam games too in offline mode and Steam does allow you to share your games through family sharing which Gog doesn't allow. Those are facts, so stop saying Gog is better because it allows you to do things the others don't, no, they all can do the same, Steam even has extras.

Just say you like Gog because it doesn't need a launcher, that's it, no other platform allows that, there, if you care for your games and safety and hoarding and what not, all of them are just as viable.

>I'm those dungeon crawler is too niche for us but here are some VN's instead

fucking idiots.

Most games ever made are licenses including your physical ones.

you type like an autistic pajeet. are you employed by steam or something? why are you so angry with other people discussing GoG that you feel the need to shitpost dozens of times in their threads?

Fuck off chink shill Tianemen square 1989ファっクニッガズ

not this shit again
try selling your gog game on ebay

>Talk about all three most popular platforms
>Immediately call him a Steam shiller
Woah dude, everything good at home?

>There is a method to hoard your Steam games too in offline mode
There is not, at least not for literally every single game. It is not a backup, it's a workaround.

For gog installers there's absolutely no exceptions. ALL games will work with absolute no account and forced online connection forever.
Go kill yourself already like you have been told to by multiple people.

I don't understand how you think a complete hack job of a workaround backup that dances around the drm is the same thing as a simple installer that's going to work by design. If your steam account gets logged out through a glitch of sorts for example you're going to have to check with the servers again before you can even play those backups.

>epic shills posting ad nauseum attacking steam
>anons repeatedly bring up gog for which the shills have no response
>days later
>GOG IS DEAD threads spammed ad nauseum
Could these fuckers be any more obvious?

Well, exactly all Gog games that are on Steam are compatible with the workaround, the ones that aren't can't even be bought on Gog, so what exactly is your argument?

That doesn't make it not a license

You can't because you don't own an original CD. That would be like trying to sell a movie you taped from the TV. Are you retarded? You own the game for personal use or everyone would be making 100 copies of their GOG library and reselling it. DRM free remember?

The braindead steam tranny has been doing this before epic store even became a thing.

If they are Epic shills this could explain the Australian flags. It's chink immigrants!!!

The Gog shillers are quiet, they finally got BTFO'd, nice thread

You mentioned gog SIX TIMES in your post, all negatively, while giving origin and epic a token mention and shilling steam four times. It's clear you're just an autistic Steambabby upset because people are discussing a superior platform.

My argument is that it's a shitty workaround that's not ensured to always work for as long as you have the files.

delusional and mentally ill

You got pretty much obliterated and reduced to a drooling mess that repeats the same non-arguments. We are done here until the next time.

Yes, it is the superior platform. I know since i own games on both steam and GOG.

There was a thread on here when she got announced and I just have 15 or so pictures of her.
most of them were already posted in the thread though

If your platform is so good then why is it dying?
They just had to cancel their fair price policy, now OPs, I don't think it will survive this year.
That's what they get for making fun of trans people

I dunno I didn't make it.

What's wrong with gog I just purchased Crusader no Remorse. I could have pirated it easily.

This has to be a strawman or the tranny has slipped. Have a (you).
Oh, i guess i'll save the ones that were already posted.

>What's wrong with gog I just purchased Crusader no Remorse.
Good taste and nothing is wrong with GOG. It's some autist shitposting.

everything is fine guys!

Steam literally has backup feature.
Not that you can't simply fucking backup Epic/Origin/UPlay/anything files on your PC yourself like any person with more than 2 cells in their brain.
Although I wouldn't put it behind Epic or EA to simply disallow using files copied from somewhere and force you to redownload because they can't implement/be arsed to implement checking files for tampering/any other damage.
