good, the original is perfect and this remake looks like fucking shit
The fuck is that slutty skirt, arc dresses modestly
HAVE SOME PATIENCE YOU FILTHY GAIJIN
good
nasu a sell out
absolutely unironically soulless
What a relief.
>be huge Tsukihime fag
>fucking hate everything Fate related
It's not fair. I put more time into Melty than any other fighting game too including Smash.
Never understood what went through the faggot's head with that redesign.
Even one of those retarded asymmetrical legwear designs would've turned out better.
Melty is the greatest fighting game ever made.
Don't worry user, she'll be a 5* Berserker in turkeyhandle event.
I'm not that upset about the remake. I'm upset that a sequel to Melty Blood won't get made because Type-Moon went full gacha mode.
I don't think there will ever be a sequel to Melty Blood if the remake doesn't come out first
is this atari dumbledore from turkeyhandle?
Cutest vampire
Is Tsukihime like Kara No Kyoukai? I love those movies.
>Perfect
I mean, look, putting aside the merits or lack thereof of the remake, Tsukihime was not "perfect" by any stretch. The entire Ciel route, for instance. Or how Shiki's character seems inconsistent from route to route. Or how in absolutely inconsistent the other Shiki is between the three Far Side routes. Or how Nrvnqsr literally just shows up out of nowhere, has nothing to do with anything and dies with zero connection to the story. Kohaku's route itself was written by Nasu in an extremely short period of time just before the deadline, so there are multiple obvious holes in it as well.
It's not fair.
Fuck current Type-Moon.
Fuck modern Fateshit.
We could've had Melty Blood at EVO this year.
NEVER EVER
I prefer the anime version.
don't worry, she's already in Fate. Its just a matter of time for her to be included as a Grand Berserker in FGO
>Or how Shiki's character seems inconsistent from route to route.
Shiki's character changes pretty wildly in the Far Side routes because Kohaku is increasing his dosage.
Nasu said that Arcueid's appearance in EXTRA is pure fanservice and not meant to be taken seriously. Arcueid doesn't exist in the Fate world line. And even if she did, she wouldn't qualify as a Servant.
This isn't true anymore after he introduced KnK into FGO. He even wrote on his TM blog that Arc showing up in FGO would just be a matter of when he felt it was time to do it.
>Arcueid doesn't exist in the Fate world line. And even if she did, she wouldn't qualify as a Servant.
Neither does Ryougi.
Kara no Kyoukai's world definitely doesn't have Arcueid in it. Nasu revealed long AFTER the KnK event that Tsukihime and Fate belonged to two completely separate world lines. Arcueid doesn't exist in Fate's world line.
That's hard to say. KnK timeline's probably in the Fate world line. And while you probably could shove Arcueid into a Servant container, she definitely wouldn't be a Grand.
Don't worry, sometime, Gudako will come in "Tsukihime Universe" and will purge it because it has low human order value to save the whole world.
>how Nrvnqsr literally just shows up out of nowhere, has nothing to do with anything and dies with zero connection to the story.
Fucking speedreaders, how dumb can you get.
It's even funnier that you're saying that after claiming Ciel's route is bad.
Ciel's route IS bad. Half of it's literally just a copy-paste job of Arcueid's route. On sheer technicality it's the worst route of all for that reason.
Tsukihime world line doesn't seem to fall under the same rules as Fate's world line. Fate's world line favors humans, so any timeline in which humanity fucks up and kills itself off is purged. Tsukihime world line doesn't favor humans, so it might have different cosmic laws. The fact that they both fall under separate world lines at all raises some questions.
>Tsukihime world line doesn't favor humans, so it might have different cosmic laws
what
>Ciel's route IS bad. Half of it's literally just a copy-paste job of Arcueid's route
So is Kohaku's with Hisui's route, what's your point?
I genuinely love the new Arc design, it is very pretty.
But I recognize why people like the old one and I agree that the old one feels more like Arc.
>Arcueid doesn't exist in Fate's world line.
Correction: The Dead Apostle Ancestors as an organization don't exist in Fate's world line. Crimson Moon still exists, Dead Apostles still exist (as pic related shows in Strange Fake), the True Ancestors still exist (as the latest Lostbelt shows), Roa still exists (and got killed by Dantes) and in all likelihood Arcueid Brunestud still exists because someone needs to hunt down berserking True Ancestors.
yea
her dumb smile face with this art doesn't work
i'd hit that
As other user said, half of the Far side routes are always the same.
I do think the romance with Ciel is the weakest, but I was referring to the fact that Ciel's route makes Nrvnqsr's relevance and connection to Roa explicit, which that user ironically complained about.
Type Moon is too busy swimming in FGO money to care about ever continuing work on their Tsukihime remake
Plebs. The old designs look so fucking dated for all the characters. It's why I'm glad that even Shirou in Fate got that swag jacket so that he didn't look so fucking dated in the UBW anime adaptation by Ufotable. A shame that Kirei didn't get his ugly-ass mullet removed though.
the only bad thing in the art in the original VN is Shiki's retarded blue and orange shirt
everything else is fine
Strange Fake is confirmed to be an exception world where DAA exist alongside Servants, and Hinako in GO trash is not a True Ancestor in the same way as Arc's relatives, she's a special snowflake.
There are two distinct world lines in Nasu's mythos, the Tsukihime world line and the Fate world line. The Fate world line is one whose foundation is the "Affirmation of Human History", and it's possible to summon Heroic Spirits as Servants in this world. The Tsukihime world line is one where human history is instead degraded, so Servants can't be summoned. In this world, Dead Apostles who oppose human history are much stronger than they are in the Fate world line, and the organization known as the Twenty-Seven Dead Apostle Ancestors exist.
It's also heavily hinted in Melty Blood that the world of Tsukihime's going to die in about a hundred years.
You're misunderstanding. Miaoyi isn't the same "species" of True Ancestor as Arcueid. Her profile explicitly states that she's "related" to True Ancestors, but she's technically something different. She's an elemental, but she's not related to Brunestud of the Crimson Moon. Unlike a True Ancestor, she lacks the power of planetary backup, and her overall power isn't much higher than a normal Servant.
True Ancestors do appear to exist in this world line, but Arcueid herself wasn't originally born to hunt them. She was artificially created by the True Ancestors in order to be the "strongest" of them; it's explicitly stated that this was an unnecessary process and an unusual action that doesn't really fit in with the TAs' normal MO. Incidentally, Roa never met Arcueid in this timeline either, meaning he never became as powerful as he did in Tsukihime's world line, and was thus permanently killed by the Cavern King.
>Soundtrack
>VA
>Shit-text rendering
>Awful fucking resolution that scales CG poorly (Aspect ratio is fine, though.)
Art could also stand to be upgraded in general, not in style but in quality, just compare the sprites to the old design promo material.
Melty era was the best
This is such vaporware that not only is the original Japanese fanbase fucking ancient by now, but even mirror moon secondaries like me are starting to feel the pains and dulling memory of age.
Shit has surpassed Duke Nukem Forever. At least I got Sion out of it all though.
Good, they'd just fuck it up. I hate almost all the new designs, except maybe for Ciel. Literally looks soulless compared to the original. There's definitely a lot of room for improvement in the classic Tsukihime but I don't trust them to do it any justice at this point.
It's not like it'd be translated ever even if it did come out. Look at fucking Mahoyo.
OLD GOOD
NEW BAD
Fair point as well, unless we got an official steam release somehow.
So am I the only one who really loves the Tsukihime / Fate VNs and Fate Zero but I absolutely can't get into this extended universe shit. Apocrypha and Extra were pretty terrible in my opinion. Also I don't care for FGO.
Then you're on the right track.
Don't worry, Gudako will erase all those shitty timelines/universes
Have you read Kagetsu Tohya and Hollow Ataraxia? Both are extremely worth it if you enjoyed the original VNs.
Never bothered with Apocrypha, Extra was fun if you liked those servants and wanted to see them fightan, but not worth the time investment.
Hollow Ataraxia was worth it if you like Fate.
All gatcha games are complete garbage
>Hollow Ataraxia
>you will never fish together with Lancer
What Nasu said in regards to differences between the worlds
>the foundation of Tsukihime's world is one in which "human history has been ??", resulting in the Dead Apostles, who stand in opposition to it, have risen in power, and that's basically the primary difference.
>And so. In regards to a certain character who appears in Tsukihime..... the one who abandoned the Church and ended up being counted among the Twenty-Seven Dead Apostle Ancestors...... well, after a "certain meeting", he ended up becoming an extraordinarily powerful Dead Apostle.
>However, within the world of Fate, that "certain meeting" never occurred so even after becoming a Dead Apostle, he never received a level of power enough to be counted as "one of the Ancestors", and his overall level of mystery suffers a drop in rank as well.
>The discrepency of those circumstances...... Even if the worlds' foundations are the same, the premise may differ and thus the characters may differ as well......
>"But Grandpa, then what about "Fake"? How should I treat that hodgepodge of darkness? I wanna know!"
>"Hohoho. That's a world where "both are possible", oh mighty warrior Mahiro-chan who, upon lifting the ban, reached LV80 within the course of a single day"
>"Both are possible......? So it's like playing with dice where you can get either evens or odds? Then, in other words..."
>"Indeed. Therefore, it is a "world like FGO" where both or neither is a possibility, o Mahiro-chan who possesses both a LV100 Illya and Chloe. You have become a true warrior just as I had expected. However, it's good to practice prudence at times as well."
Good taste.
ARR ROOK SAME
>nasu says FGO is wrapping uo
>he makes a Tsukihime mobage instead
FUCK SABER CLONES
FGO will continue after part 2 ends, people misunderstood what Nasu meant. His own involvement with FGO will end and he will go back to working on other projects.
Just like how Fate/Extra CCC was the end of his work on Fate in general, as he stated previously. Oh, wait a minute.
Not baiting, honest question:
Is there a valid reason for people to like non-fate typemoon shit or is this just the classic old>new meme
Mind you, I fucking hate fate, just find it difficult to believe that its creators could ever make something good
Tsukihime and KnK feel very different compared to Fate even though they do share aspects.
Women don't wear long skirts anymore. As much as I like them, seriously think about it. When was the last time you saw a woman wear a skirt like classic Arc.
The sweater and tights are what's considered dressing modestly but fashionably these days.
Extra's Nursery Rhyme episode was 12/10 visually, at least.
But wasn't Arcueid's thing that was she out of date anyway?
no one wears mini skirts either outside of highschool uniforms. I don't really see any women with really long hair either, not sure tahts why except maybe short hair is more convenient and requires less maintenance
>When was the last time you saw a woman wear a skirt like classic Arc.
I saw about a dozen 2 hours ago.
Admittedly, this was at a nursing home.
You do still see young women wear them occasionally though, normally the kind made of really light material.
Tsukihime and KnK are darker in tone, they feel more like they belong to romanticism and its themes, at least that's how I feel about it. Fate is more about chuuni shit and epic fights. There's a lot of things that Fate does better, e.g. Shiro is more complex than Shiki in the long run, but overall I like Tsukihime a lot more.
The longer hair gets the more of a pain it is to take care of. If your hair is just barely chin length, something as simple as taking a quick shower can take upwards of half an hour.
And the time investment makes it a rather emotional problem if your hair is all fucked up for some reason or another.
KnK isn't about Shiki, though.
It's about Mikiya.
Where the fuck do you live? I see miniskirts everyday, and while they're not very common, long skirts are still far from being completely outdated
Japan
The last time I saw an adult wearing a skirt was a fucking tranny at a bar
Even if it's mostly chuunishit, Fate, KnK and especially Tsukihime scratch that modern urban fantasy setting itch perfectly. I also find Tsukihime characters much more enjoyable and likeable than Fate.
I know, it was just an example.
That just means you're sane.
Only tsukihime, kagetsu tohya, fsn, f/hollow ataraxia are canon. f/z is good so it gets a pass, everything else is bs
Even if short skirt are common there, japaneses are more conservative in their way to dress than us.
You're in for a surprise mate.
You're not the only one, you just have good taste.
Strange Fake is good (so far)
Apocrypha introduced some fun characters but is garbage otherwise
the what now?
Thanks for reminding me that if I continued writing Satsuki's alternate route 15 years ago instead of focusing on my career in IT that we could have finally have had one (even if fan-made). Her route would have started after she was resurrected by a traveling mage on a whim and trained as his apprentice while they correct things in alternate dimensions. She would end up back in Misaki after a couple of years as a mysterious pony-tailed heroine who saves the Shiki and gang from various other-wordly threats. Shiki sorta falls for her but never realizes her true identity so it turns into a love-hate relationship. The traveling mage is Merlin, a good friend of Zelrecht and troll wizard of history. Funny enough, this was before I read FSN...
Sounds shit, good thing you never finished it.
She's perfect....
That sounds even worse than my fanfic about a self-hating post-UBW Shinji unintentionally summoning Satsujinki as an Assassin when the next grail war starts
We could've had Arc appear in the biggest fighting game tournament of all time. It was never fair.
As I said, perfect.
>The entire Ciel route, for instance.
How else do you expect to repress Roa other than fucking her in the ass?
Copy that.
CHOOSE ONE
Akiha is perfect. Whether she is mad, bloodthirsty, or gigantic, I will always love her
Brainwasher Detective.
Is the Nasuverse actually good or is it a lot of nostalgia?
I started with Melty Blood then got into Tsukihime. Even to this day, I've read all of Tsukihime but still haven't finished one route of FSN. Tsukihime really sucked me in back then. While on paper, Fate's world looks more interesting, Tsukihime just resonated with me more. And I'm saying this as someone who loves blonds and swords and Arc isn't even my favorite.
wait where's that 2012 pic from? The type moon artbook?
>Tsukihime mobage
I'll honestly take Tsukihime anything at this point
It's the one where all the main heroines from every tm series are gathered
There's a couple of good characters here and there but you can feel the teen angst in most of the storylines
how is that thing called? I kinda need it
How about this one?
arc's dress is so pretty wow
Kohappy~
Best girl
Every single one.
stop reminding me
FGO is pure fanservice
apocrypha is just poor's man fate route
who cares? Tsukihime is always going to be a inferior version of Fate
