How the F*CK was he so based and why can't brainlets understand he was the true hero?

He technically wasn't even a rat, he was just trying to get the money in Blackwater the whole time. He just used the feds to ruin the gang and get to it. He's the only character that a actually acts like an outlaw and he's a racist which makes him based.

Everyone but Dutch was shitty to Micah from the start, I don't blame him for doing what he did.

Now that I think about it

If Dutch had the Blackwater score the whole time, why didn't he just use that to take everyone to Tahiti?

Dutch never had any intention of going to Tahiti.

*glup*
Ahem, FUCK DUTCH AND FUCK MICAH, partner!

Talked a lot of shit but could never handle it when people dished it back. Nigga couldn't even beat a sick man in a fight. Arthur would've straight up killed him had Dutch not interfered.

Everything about him is unlikable of course no one would be nice to him.

What are you on about, if anything being chased by pinkertowns didnt allow it to happen at first, and it seems he didnt want to go after guarma
The only character that made any sense in this piece of shit

arthur is a coward for not dealing with him far earlier in the story

>What are you on about, if anything being chased by pinkertowns didnt allow it to happen at first, and it seems he didnt want to go after guarma
The idea of sailing away to Tahiti was just a tactic Dutch used to continue stringing the gang along when things started going horribly wrong. It's typical cult leader behaviour; to make promises of greener pastures that are always JUST out of reach, and never seem to get any closer to being possible. There's no way Dutch would ever give up the outlaw lifestyle.

>He's the only character that actually acts like an outlaw and he's a racist which makes him based
This. Micah should have been the main character. Arthur was such a fucking cuck.

This
It's obvious the moment you consider that Dutch could've fucked off to Tahiti with all the money in the years between the campaign ending and the start of the epilogue. That and the fact he kept on robbing and pillaging for another eight years after that. Dutch was crazy

>Get pissed at Micah after everything he's unapologetically done
>Seething over how his punishment is something so basic like getting shot
>Takes in bullet wounds and gestures like he's hot shit before dying, get more pissed
>Months later after playing
>End up liking Micah now
Why do I feel this way? I don't even understand it myself.
All I can guess is that maybe he's just the perfect foil to Arthur
and the fact that his actions stirred genuine emotion in me must really mean something.

its because he's such a piece of shit, the game just strung you along well enough for you to actually hate him

i was loving micah pretty quickly after i realized he wasn't going to die, due to his immeasurable plot-armor and the obvious characteristic of being a major cunt to the protag

hes great at getting under your skin, he can't even give a compliment without it being incredibly underhanded.

>unmatched fashion sense
But a shit physique. Like most people who fashionmax.

Still, he was the only member of the gang that wasn't a sadsack. The second best gunslinger too.

I could never hate him because the game was trying too hard to make me hate him. It just felt forced.

Also I respected that he was the only other member of the gang bringing in money. Even if it was a pittance compared to Arthur it was still more than everyone else combined. So I saw it as him earning the right to be cocky and bants the others.

The only thing I didn't like about him was that he was fat and a rapist.

I swear they only had him rape someone because the devs got scared they were making the racist villain the coolest character so they had to make him extra unlikable. Probably through some extra belly fat on him for good measure too.

When did he rape? I don't remember that.

Micah is a piece of shit though, killing Jack's dog and putting Arthur in danger at Strawberry killing a family to get his stupid guns back.

Some fat criminal and his whore does not equal a family.

Dutch thought he had the whole gang eating his shit and loving it but Micah had Dutch eating his shit the whole time, Micah was playing Dutch so hard throughout the whole game, he only wanted money he didn't give any fucks about Dutch or the gang

There were a few moments where it felt like he was making a genuine effort to ingratiate himself with the gang, but gets rebuffed. I think at some point he just went "Fuck it, these cunts will never accept me so I'll go for myself"

but surely he would have realised how tightly knit the gang was, even if different members had their problems with each other they were all still willing to make an effort to keep the gang strong as a whole, he can't just be a massive cunt to everyone that's been there so much longer than him and expect them to all accept him as part of it

>>thereby saving the hard earned money of innocent people and countless lives of cops and civilians
>why can't brainlets understand he was the true hero?
because that wasn't his intention

I think that's why he gives more money to the camp than everyone else combined, and at times makes a big show of it. He believes he's buying his way in without realising that's not how it works.
He's like a sperg who's only good at being an outlaw and can't into social interaction.

Nah, he was always in for himself. Those attempts to ingratiate himself were just that - the incredibly clumsy overtures of a non-charimsatic sociopath who is trying to act like a real person. They're uncanny and transparent which is why everyone sees right through them. Some of the camp conversations I've seen show this hilariously. Micah does some edgy needlessly antagonistic shit to someone and then ten minutes later goes full sycophant to the same person who just tells him to fuck off. He does this to Arthur all the time too, giving him these compliments obviously manufactured in a lame attempt to manipulate him that Arthur bats away instinctively.
This is what makes Micah so interesting in context with Dutch because Dutch, conversely to Micah, is a sociopath who IS charismatic and yet he's also the only one who can be manipulated by Micah.
Micah can't manipulate anyone except Dutch. Dutch can manipulate anyone except Micah.

Excpet they dont feel like a family at all. Its filled with cliques, infighting and some people are just hated for absolutly no reason at all, like bill who is one of the only three useful characters in the gang excluding Arthur

I wouldn't say Bill is hated, I think they just like giving him banter because he's a bit of a fool. I don't remember any moments where there's any serious arguments or anything involving him

Fascinating

But muh Arthur

Dutch had ZERO intentions of stopping and ending his outlaw lifestyle. Mango farming was just bait convince others to continue to follow him.

Third at best.

No one is hated in the gang except for Micah. It's exactly like a family. Bill gets poked fun at and ribbed but he isn't anything close to hated. They all get poked fun of and ribbed - John is made fun of for being unintelligent, Bill moreso, Sean for being lazy, Uncle for being everything, Swanson for being a complete mess, etc.

Not him but how do you rank them? Micah pulls off stuff that no one else does. I would only put Arthur ahead of him.

John>Arhur>Micah

>genuine effort to ingratiate himself with the gang, but gets rebuffed
You get the dialogue when he asks one of the girls to dance with her and she just completely roasts him?
IIRC he goes "You don't need to be scared, I'm not a monster" and she responds with "I know you're not a monster, you're not interesting enough" and he looks genuinely upset before hobbling off.
I hate that motherfucker god damn, I'm still F'ing to this day.

I'm pretty baffled that you think John is ahead of either Micah or Arthur but especially Arthur.

John is mediocre until he meets and gets real tips from Landon in Mexico
Not only that Arthur is confirmed to be the best gunslinger by R* themselves.

Who's better? John? He can't even touch Micah at the end and has to rely on Sadie and Dutch intervening.

Only other person I can think of is Dutch, but we're never shown how proficient he is.

Micah is shown in-canon having better reaction and reflexes than everyone in a gunfight around the mid point of the game, but then being outdrawn by Arthur late game.

Whos better to make side missions John or Arthur?

That was brutal but she still could have said far, far worse.

Small dick cracker detected

I find it pretty unbelievable that Arthur didn't just snap at some point and kill him.

Just like Hosea, Arthur always knew something was off with Micah but was restrained by his loyalty to Dutch.

Arthur doesn't wipe his own ass unless Dutch gives him permission.

I think a case can be made that Arthur edges Micah out for best gunslinger. Then going off of feats I would have to put Dutch ahead of John just based off of the completely nuts shot he made at John's binoculars in RDR1.
