Let out how you honestly feel, controversal or not

it's pokemon. same as it ever was.

same as it ever was

Got bored after X/Y, and I actually liked X. ORAS was dogshit, Su/Mo was boring so I got maybe one trial in, didn't even try US/UM.
I don't think it's bad, but just doesn't interest me much.
I also don't have a switch.

Speed and Shield is by the director of ORAS and SM. That’s enough to have me on edge.

The designs for most of the new mons in sun/moon were better than x/y. Except for the fucking anchor

The new starters are gokd except for the bunny, and it would be good if it didnt have spaghet arms, also 3ds era were the dark ages for pomemon, but the monster designs have been solid for every gen so far

fanmons are better and more inspired

>sobble is just a worse mudkip

I honestly wanna run Scorbunny. Even if its evolutions are shit, I'll keep it in its base form. Good thing me and my girl are going half on a switch so it doesnt feel like a 100% waste if this game is shit. One can wonder how transferring (if that's even an option) will work since the last gen was on a different console.

>Starter design:
Mediocre. We already had a monkey, and many are so many "gooey water fish thing"
The fire bunny seems okay, but the starters design been lacking for so long
>Game and engine
Looks okay. Im not sure why people were so butthurt about Lets Go's graphics and artstyle.
>Will i buy it
I dont even own a switch

With the last few gens being dogshit I'm quite skeptical on how this'll turn out. I'll probably still buy it tho.

>I honestly wanna run Scorbunny
Same, as long as it's not fire/fighting

Looks like fucking shit and Pokefags are of course damage controlling hard as fuck trying to desperately pretend that the games are still good or getting better. New starters look like ass and they might as well all be the same except palette swaps of each other, and two of them have shitty noodles limbs. They already showed that there's going to be a bunch of returning Pokemon so clearly there's going to be a lot less new ones, but the designs have really taken a turn for the worse if they're apparently perfectly fine with showing these shitty DeviantArt tier fakemon. The fact that people are still letting Game Freak get away with dual versions now that they're charging $60 for each of them but they have less and worse content than games made a decade ago just really shows the shit taste people have, and people need to stop treating Game Freak like they're some fucking poor indie company with a niche franchise.

Pokemon bank, it's not hard to figure out

I didn't hate what the trailer showed but I'm never getting a Switch so it doesn't matter.

None of the starters are stellar, but i don't outright hate them either. The monkey's cute, so I'll pick him

>liked
names, sword and shield are cool as fuck
human designs look neat
>ehhh
starter designs looking a bit samey
region looking REALLY linear
no overworld or following pokemon
bare minimum in the graphical department
>hated
ohmori is directing
same pokemon and battle animations from gen 6

Scorbunny is cool, I'll probably pick him. Right now though there isn't too much to say, as we were only given tablespoons of information. If I have any sort of first impressions, it's that

>The world looks really bland, and I'm really hoping they don't keep the snow area exclusively in the last area
>The monkey and slug thing look shitty
>The game looked rather shaky in the gameplay portions they did show off
>No day/night cycle sucks ass
>Trainers are cute

Yes but remember the bank can only be used if you plug in the cartridge which switches dont have. Unless they pull that wifi shit.

this desu

What little we saw of the region makes me feel like it’s going to be Alola 2.0, and I don’t like the starters at all. I’m doubtful that my assumption of the region will be far off from what we get in the end but I’m hoping Gamefreak pulls a miracle out of their ass.

Jhoto was peak Pokémon starters
Dunsparce is top tier as well. While later gens have gems like Bravairy, nothing tops Hitmonchan and Kabutops and diglett

>if that leak was 100% real, Charizard is about to get another gamefreak handjob

same as it ever was

>the basic shape you start with when drawing any head

So far just okay. The graphics for the towns, landscapes, and buildings look awful though, what are they thinking? Is anyone else really bothered by them? I am optimistic yet will gladly to skip if they dont improve from X/Y or S/M. Based off Lets Go I may be setting myself up for dissapointment.

The two people I definitely didn't want to see involved in this game showed up in the Direct. Suffice to say I don't think this will be any better than Gen 7. For the love of God, please just let Morimoto direct the Gen 4 remakes.

Why does Gen 7 get so much shit from Pokefags? It was better than 6, but not as good as 5 or 4 and certainly better than any earlier gens. Haven't player LGEP, but SuMo was fine, better than X/Y and ORAS.

That 2ch rating chart makes no sense to me.

You do realize the bank is stored on their servers, right? It's not local. Once you send your 3DS mons to the bank, any other device with bank (such as the Switch when they release it) can access your mons once you log-in. Again, the Pokemon are not stored on your 3DS.

It’s a linear handholding mess with excessive dialogue and very little substance. That’s why there’s animosity towards it, especially since PoGo’s popularity has fueled its success and normalfags only want a story and their hands held.

The Gen 7 games are the only Pokémon games I never want to replay again. While X/Y wasn't great, I atleast can replay it without getting bored before even obtaining the starter.

Pokemon has always been pretty handholdy though. Granted SuMo was a little excessive, but it was par the course for the rest of the series that ALWAYS gives you a tedious introductory sequence.

The problem is that Gen 7 is worse than every Gen before it in that aspect. Playing through Ultra Moon a year after finishing Sun felt like torture.

It takes 30 minutes in SM to get to your first Pokemon Center. Even BW, the most linear and story driven games at that point of time, takes about half that amount. Pokemon has had handholding, yes, but it’s by far the most insane it’s ever been in gen 7.

Just way too much fucking dialogue. I couldn't even beat USUM because I didn't have it in me to mash through all that text again. It's the most unreplayable Pokemon game to date, packed with no end game and the fucking gen 1 Pokemon being far better and far more accessible than nearly all of the new Pokemon you'll never encounter.

SM’s introductory sequence makes gen 5 and 6’s feel like gen 2’s

Never fails to make me laugh.

some of those are obviously not circles

That's my point. HGSS is one of my favourite Pokemon games, but that game's intro is pure tedium. However that game gets lauded as one of the best in the series whereas SuMo gets constant shit. At the end of the day the cutscenes are a minor annoyance at best.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that HGSS has other redeeming factors while SM just forces you to watch a season of Lillie's mommy issues.

Probably because SM’s intro is like 5 times as long you utter moron.

>minor annoyance
>the excessive dialogue constantly breaks up gameplay and forces slow transition scenes
>the beginning cutscenes are extremely bloated and are several times as long as the ones in the other generations
>>minor annoyance
Are you baiting? Be honest.

Pokémon PENIS And Pokémon VAGINA .

I expect them to evolce in different shapes and such
I am actually ok with the starter starting out similar. Would be cooler if there was one starter that would have branching evolutions at both steps
