Nah, apparently Grookey is supposed to be "Groovy" not "Rookie". The french name is Ouistempo which is "Tempo Marmoset" and Sarunori in Japanese which is "Monkey Rhythm"
Going with the stick it'll probably become some kind of drummer. Big upper body and something to bang on (fruits? wood?).
Sobble is all about crying and tears, so it's a sad chameleon now. Probably as it evolves it'll become happy.
