Which feels like a more natural dash?
Which feels like a more natural dash?
Button for running
Double direction on stick has always been horrible, except in fighting games where it's a short dash or hop
Button without a shadow of a doubt.
button. Biggest problem with double tap is that unless you program it well you're going to have a few frames where the animation doesn't look natural. Also feels bad.
It is really weird how used to double tap dashes I am now when it comes to fighting games.
Are there non-fighting games that do double-tap dashes? I can't think of any off the top.
Button. Clicking the left stick is common, but this feels terrible. Trigger is very comfortable if holding the dash button makes sense, but if a toggle makes more sense for the game, then of course a button is fine.
button. double tapping to dash can be annoying, especially if you're trying to inch closer to a ledge and you just end up launching off
minecraft uses double tap for sprinting, on console at least
Left, but I'd rather double-tap on keyboard.
Just double tap on the dpad retard
Sprint always on button to walk, holding down or pressing shift to sprint is fucking retarded.
neither
>hold stick in one direction
>Automatically start dashing if you've jogged in the same direction for ~1-2 seconds
>not immediately sprinting on full tilt and walking on half tilt
LETTING THE DAYS GO BY
Double tapping feels like shit for everything besides fighting games.
depends on the game
Double tap for a quick dodge dash, button for a basic sprint. Fuck Bully's form of sprint by spamming the X button.
Who cares which is a more natural dash
Button is far superior for IADs
I actually prefer double Tapping, but only with keyboard keys or a dpad or other binary inputs. Analog double Tapping is unreliable.
Double-tap is fine but only if it's specifically double tap and not just fast tap like fucking Smash.
SAME AS IT EVER WAS
I hate double tapping to run so much, it always feels slightly too slow.
