I had this game for PS2 and loved it. Don't think I ever beat it but it was still great.
Also managed to have some genuinely spooky levels in the junkyard areas with the giant scrap pile robots.

Which one? I'd it's the one where you play as Slosh (flamethrower guy), you back track after you activate the reactor, and use the jump pad to get to the exit. It's it's the level before that, you follow the tubes until you come to this gap you jump across ( there's a secret chip if you drop down into it, and a jumps to get back up).

Worst lighting, screwed up physics, sounds were compressed, lower framerate (gc and Xbox ran at 60). Only thing ps2 had over gc is the extra multiplayer level and slightly better textures

Secrets like this and dismantling enemy limbs piece by piece made the game so fun

I took an uncomfortable about of enjoyment shooting enemy limbs off and watching the bits flail and shake around uselessly as they followed me around.
I also loved how when you were controlling one and it started to happen it actually affected how they controlled and how their weapons actually fired in the direction the flailing arm caused them to point.

Source: also got the compiler for mst file that contains all the assets, in addition to those textures. It's got options for PC, Xbox, and gamecube. Also source you can watch a video on Matthew bells portfolio of the PC Dev build. Doesn't say it's pc trust me lol. Would post pics, but my PC is dead till tomorrow (ryzen build no GPU). If you want proof I gave the compiler, there's a video on djowns twitch what I replaced the texture for Glitch on Xbox with 1024x1024 resolution textures and a dick instead of a morbot symbol.
