what's wrong with people who don't claw their controller?
What's wrong with people who don't claw their controller?
I claw but i use my index to control the thumbstick and keep my thumb on the face buttons.
I could never do this I always get paralyzed when I do that shit
it's ok, you still claw
I do this shit all the time with FFXIV.
>Getting paralyzed every time
That Implies you tried it after getting parylized which is permanent so you would not be able to try it again
it takes some time to get used to, for how long did you try it?
it took me about 2 weeks to actually start feeling completely comfortable doing this; I was thinking about giving up even, but then I started doing it naturally whenever I had to
I don't play games that require stupid shit like that
imagine thinking that claw is useful only in FPS;
good for you, user, for doing this!
JUST LIFT YOUR FUCKING THUMB YOU RETARD. ARE YOU LITERALLY SO FAT THAT MOVING YOUR THUMB TOO MUCH MAKES YOU PANT AND SWEAT? FUCK.
While I love the vibrational feedback I want to minimize the impact to my wrists to not suffer from the same issues dentists do.
first of all, how is this stupid? it's how you hold a controller.
second of all, what games do you play? it's better to claw even in "games" like the witcher 3
why are you screaming at a google image, user?
imo it's just a dumb hoax that playing claw will damage your hands in any way;
pro players have used this for YEARS, and those guys play about 10 hours every day at least
Well then Super numb and stiff I mean
3 1/2 weeks until I just gave up
The first game I've felt the need to do this was Ace Combat
That clearly isn't how a controller is meant to be held, and any game that encourages clawing is shit.
well, I don't know if it's actually possible to not be able to claw, but the thing is, it probably always hurts at first; you're kind of using other muscles that you need to train (this might be complete BS, but this is how I understand it);
the way I did it was play claw for a bit, 30 minutes for example, and then switch to playing regularly as soon as it started to hurt;
eventually it just stopped hurting altogether.
but if you think you really can't do it, then obviously don't hurt yourself
about any game in which you can control camera will benefit from this;
i can't even imagine playing souls without this;
I used to change the roll button to L1 but it's not a perfect solution by any means
Very few games utilize the entire breadth of buttons in such a way that clawgrip is beneficial at all.
Megaman X and Monster Hunter are really the only ones that come to mind.
Maybe shit like Madden/Fifa?
Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1-3, Bloodborne, Destiny 1-2, COD, Halo, basically any FPS.
I don't know, it's not that even the advantage that you will gain, it's just so much more comfortable to play any game really, since you'll be able to adjust your camera and press the buttons at the same time.
I wonder what the PS5 controller will look like.
If it has paddles, Scuf is basically a rip company?
healthy hands and healthy minds.
sadly, I, too, am afflicted with this burden.
come on, don't tell me you believe this will actually hurt you in any way
Same. I always thought that's what other people meant when they referred to the claw.
I actually played dark souls with that grip. Only game I use it for as well. I dont like it as its a bit uncomfortable for me but I could see it as a legit way to use a controller.
what's the best wired xbone controller? are the pdp ones any good?
any other controller recommendations for PC in general?
I slip into it sometimes, like when I want to control the camera and sprint in Dark Souls, but most games are designed so that you don't have to hold the controller like you have cerebral palsy.
why not just use a normal xbone controller with the cord connected
I don't know, it bugs me to take my thumb off every time I need to press A to open a door or pick something up, so I feel like I need to do it in almost any game where I have to control the camera
in some games, Wolfenstein, you need to pick up ammo all the time, which was so annoying (I played that game not using claw), but maybe it's more of a PC game
I know you shouldn't care what other people think of you, but if you hold your controller like this you will not get a girlfriend ever.
>letting your finger off the camera stick for a single second
>not being in control of the camera 1005 of the time
I have only used the dualshock 4, I like everything about it but the thumbsticks' material as they get slippery (lose grip) for me within a month
im gay, so it's okay
true
>what's the best wired xbone controller
well user it's the wired xbone controller
You do what now?
the regular xbone controller is $100 cdn vs $40 cdn for a pdp one
this is true, but I have a gift card for walmart from my protection plan on my broken wired 360 controller I'd prefer to use if possible and walmart here doesn't seem to stock the basic wired microsoft xbone controller - though I will go into the store and check soon and if I find one that is what I will buy
ty for your input friendo. I can't go back to duelshock after using xbox controllers for years now sadly, they just feel weirdly small in my hands.
Buy a controller with paddles and throw that pile of shit away. The DS4 was made for clowns by clowns.
I wanted to try an xbox controller for some time now, but I have a PC and recently got myself a PS4, so using a dualshock sounds like a better solution to me;
I don't really want to switch between the two every time I want to play something on PC\PS4.
Absolutely nothing, clawers are the freaks.
did you see how expensive those are?
I'm not paying the price of a brand-new ps4 for two buttons on the back
You can get them for 50 or under often, but also there is a PowerA Enhanced controller (WIRED) that has 2 paddle buttons, not sure of its quality but it looks alright.
>just put extra buttons on the back
why hasn't controller design changed to accommodate this for the last 20 years? what the fuck is going on and why are companies retarded? I'm not gonna make my hands practice fucking gymnastics just so I can press another button that should be easily accessible on the back of the controller.
true actually; I had the same question and then decided to learn to claw, but this is stupid, I agree.
I wonder how Sony will change their dualshock. If it does have paddles though, it will literally be RIP for Scuf
There aren't any controllers like that for PC at least because of shitty XInput
I dont play Cod
