I think people need to except the reality that face scanning tech is here to stay. And when you scan a human face which is full of flaws and imperfections then combine that with the modeler who is also a human capable of mistakes what you're going to get out is a face with flaws. As tech gets better the uncanny valley effect will waver but always be there. Personally I prefer this over Final Fantasy where everyone is 10/10, stuff like that takes me out of the setting.

Default Claire > BR 2.0 >> BR 1.0 >>> Claire-ish mod
The Claire-ish mod sucks because the pointy chin makes her look like a giraffe and the author made her nose comically small.
"Beautiful Reality" is actually okay, (at least v2.0 is) but it just looks like someone else who is merely a different type of autistic chinlet than default Claire is, so it's just about preference which one you want.
She has no overbite in it, but her chin is still very short from her neck. Her nose is smaller, but her nose was never really a problem IMO. Jill has a way bigger nose than Claire and no one ever says shit.
All these mods that correct the overbite have the problem that Claire is frequently mouthbreathing (just her normal "Fine" animations), and it looks pretty unnatural and forced for someone with perfectly aligned teeth to have their mouth hanging open like that.

The only time I think default Claire looks bad is when she is tilting her head forward at the camera as the lighting makes her whole chin and the undersides of her eye sockets / nose all shadowy, like this. It looks especially bad if she is mouthbreathing.
From head-on and from side angles with shadows not covering her chin, she usually looks great - beautiful even - and looking up at her face from below she has kind of a fish-mouth, but IMO it actually looks pretty hot from that angle. She has such big kissable lips (except for when the lighting makes them look small)

it's not the angles, it's the lighting: Even her worst angles don't look "ugly as fuck" when she is properly lit. When she has like a fire right in front of her lighting up her whole face, she always looks great.
Also the game has those stupid dithered shadows (with all the lines showing different shades of shadows) which can make distant bright lighting look worse on her face.
The majority of face scanned characters are not 1:1 3D versions of their models. They almost always change things.
There is probably some kind of legal complication that you have to deal with when using someone's exact likeness in a videogame

RE2:R is NOT canon. At least not to the events of 3/CV/4/5/6/7. It's a revisiting/reimagination of the original, NOT a remake. The CURRENT games (including 7 and futurely 8, i'd guess) are based on what happened in the ORIGINAL RE2.
At the same time, the fact that it's not canon to the current events gives the "new timeline" some validation, because RE3:R would follow up on it, and then maybe wrap it up so things don't go further from there (Sherry being possibly free of the G-Virus, making RE6 impossible, is an example of that). That "new" continuity wouldn't be canon, but it would be an alternate retelling of the events that led into RE4/5/6/7/futurely 8. You can make that your headcanon if you're an autistic shipfag.
They also make it clear that they don't mind retconning shit as long as it's entertaining.
