Daytona was pretty good.
Daytona 2 was the best. More refined handling. Music that is less grating. I love the theme park and city tracks.
Daytona 3 is a soulless Unreal Engine game straight off Steam Shovelware. Looks like whatever. Plays like butt. *wink wink* "gamer" shit. Just awful.

It plays literally identical to the first because it's literally the original arcade version with what is effectively a modelswap going on.
As in, the codebase is literally emulating the Arcade version and just superimposing the new render target on it.
It's basically Daytona 1.5

Arcade community forums thread that you won't find anymore because the game got banned from being talked about there due to illegality, you can download the files yourself though and you'll see it has Daytona 1 arcade rom files at its core.

Do you have evidence for this?
I tried really hard to like 3 (at $1.50 a play) but it just felt bad to play. I couldn't throw the car into an instant drift by 4-1-4 or slamming the break like the original either when I tried which are pretty iconic characteristics.
