I don't even think either have a particularly amazing gameplay design.
Well.. spiderman is a lot of fun, but repetitive and apparently no budget was given to worldbuilding or story.
GoW combat is serviceable, I don't believe it was the cornerstone of the game.
I enjoyed both games, but not necessarily for the combat gameplay.

They were much better looking than they were to play as. I don't really mind that devs do this, it's ok to have a bias to visuals/presentation or gameplay/combat.
It doesn't have to be 50/50.
I played those games because they look amazing on the big screen, not because the dodge dodge hit and press circle + triangle for awesome slow motion move.

I would agree with you if either BotW, SMO or XC2 ran at either 1080p or 60 fps, but they all have dynamic resolutions starting at 720p and unstable framerates. Daemon X Machina demo doesn't look promising either.
And this is pokemon. They seem to be going back on the roaming pokemon thing from LGPE so how much new gameplay are we gonna see?
