The ps3 is very very old compared to modern pcs and there have been games that emulate better than the way they ran on their original hardware.

Three's almost childlike appeals for Octa to see the creations she made was really adorable desu.

The main issue with DK 3 was more engine related then hardware.
I remember seeing somewhere that the reason there was so much lag is because the engine had issue running animations. The fact it ran as well as it did on the original PS3 was nothing short of a minor miracle.
Unless they did something to update how the game handles RT animations you're still going to have sub-par performance.
That said, I'd rip off my own nipples and roll around in salt for a remaster.

Never looked into the specifics of why it ran like shit but I also would love to play a decent version. Even with the framerate issues I still had fun with the ps2 beat em up gameplay. Lost my save and never beat the final song too which was a huge bummer.

The game was kind of sort of playable when I emulated it some time ago.

My problem with Zero wasn't that she was a whore or a murderer so much as how her story was so all over the place. Her prologue was basically a straight up horror story of her butchering kids for the hell of it. The first few story routes in the game are a wacky dark comedy of her slaughtering and having sex with everyone in a way that's played up for laughs. And her final story route is a big poignant finale of how she's tragically sacrificed herself to save world.

At least with Caim acting like a fucking lunatic we knew what we were getting and that most characters consistently reacted to him with disgust as a sort of necessary evil in a world gone mad.

The worst part is that the DLC's easily my favorite part of the game. If it had been spliced in throughout the main story as a sort of ensemble cast plot I think it could have been a much stronger experience overall, but they made it so a lot of people missed out on it instead.
