Season 2 was shit.
What kind of character gets everything and throws it all away for some fanatical dream inside the darkest pits of his mind?
How was Light evil? he was trying to rid evil people from the world and was only stopped because muh ethics and muh morality
Do children really find this interesting?
>Wow he laughed!! That was so badass!
If he just didn't kill the decoy L, so much could have been avoided.
Infamous
Soul Nomad and the World Eaters
Undertale
I didn't find it badass, but I did find the laugh to be pretty entertaining
As a kid you root for L, as a mature adult, you start realizing Light makes more sense.
How would he know? There would have been no way to know. Lind L. Tailor was a good macguffin for both the characters to court each other intellectually. They were both guilty of using human life as their shield.
Yeah, his intentions were good initially. However, when writing down so many of those names based on investigating police files himself, he never stopped to consider if he could accidentally kill a person who was actually innocent.
as a mature adult, you hopefully realize that this show is completely unwatchable garbage
Soul Nomad & The World Eaters. You even get a party of dysfunctional people and a bunch of psychos.
imagine pulling SUCH an asspull and getting away with it
if L started literally anywhere else it wouldn't work and they would never catch light
Also Light becomes a complete fucking retard in second part compared to the first, near isn't anywhere near as smart as L was
Who would you kill with a Death Note if you had one?
Do you have what it takes to have the burden of your actions weight on you?
lmao for some fucking reason, the databooks put Near as smarter than L.
He couldn't start anywhere else. He used a prisoner on death row to lure Kira out because he was sociopathic. He knew the person he was dealing with was sociopathic, the only way to bait him was to play his game.
that one part where george dubya bush surrenders to kira
There are a lot of RPG's where you can play as a total dickhead, but only a few where you can play as an evil incarnate.
everyone
goin ta haf to writ small
>Light becoming a retard
You mean he got sloppy because he thought he’d won.
The evil ending is fucking amazing.
Jesus fuck, motb is so good.
The Darkness games are pretty close, as are Darksiders
How are you evil in Darksiders?
thats not what I mean
he explained that he was going to broadcast it in(and only there at the time) certain regions of japan (or different countries altogether? I can't remember now) to narrow down the location of kira, and it just so happened that the first one tget tried was where light lived, if he either waited with killing him for few days or he appeared in different country first, the word would spread and light could kill him at different time, completely throwing L off this tail and he would never be found out
Spec Ops: the Line has you do some pretty evil shit
No part of it is supposed to be badass. It's the final nail in the coffin for what little part of Light was left inside Kira. It was meant to be disturbing, which it was.
Really, the only thing that ended up being Kira's downfall was his own ego. If he just had patience and planned his moves more strategically and less flamboyantly, he would have scored a complete victory since the Interpol wasn't counting on supernatural causes.
This is what zoomers of Yea Forums actually think
>have book that can save the world
>kill only criminals with it
what a dumbdumb
>Wow he laughed!! That was so badass!
The point was that Light was so deluded in his godhood that he couldn't help but bust out laughing. Even when he was literally at his lowest point he still kept deluding himself into thinking he was the almighty "Kira".
They explain in the manga that he didn't know the rules at that point. He had read them once over, but up until the drama with Misa, he had been killing criminals without the use of the second and third rules.
>this show is completely unwatchable garbage
dunno about the show, but the manga and the story in general with its twists and turns is still within the top 10 of the best intellectual battles in fiction
>Not taking the path of deciding your own moral code and not disguising it as the only real way to live.
I hate the fact the anime missed his quote in the manga.
I would make a rich person empty their bank account and put the money somewhere I can pick it up, and then they would go home and commit suicide
Nier wasn't ever smarter. The only reason he won was because of L, and the fact that Nier was an immature child, who could use the same mindset as Light, who used the Death Note in an irresponsible way for his own gain, and no one elses, like an immature child
Most WW2 games
Dishonored 1 & 2
No good, the interpol would be able to trace you easily, even using ghost accounts and stuff like that.
Season 2 was such bullshit.
>Light losing braincells because he had literally gotten rusty since his duel with L
>Near literally would have lost if it wasn't for Melo's last second decision to help Near defeat L
A better version of the rules.
I don't think Jackie is exactly evil. The Darkness isn't either. It doesn't hurt and kill things because it WANTS too. It's just all it knows. It's all it exists for.
imagine using facebook and a death note.
Not intentionally though. Evil in a sense of WANTING to do horrible things.
Uhhh Death Note ended when L died.
I agree with you on the light losing brain cells part, but the Mello thing wasn't that big of an asspull. It at least showed that Near by himself couldn't be super L.
>Near literally would have lost if it wasn't for Melo's last second decision to help Near defeat L
that was the point of their character though fucktard
Near was too methodical to match L and needed Melo as a loose cannon to be able to catch Kira
Not what I meant, pic is
They only streamed it in kanto so they know kira was in kanto, but if they for example streamed it in other region and light just killed the dude in 10 hours or so they would NEVER find kira
No good, you couldn't kill very many people that way. You need to have a name and a face and lots of people use a fake name or some other nickname on Facebook.
The best way to use the Death Note is to be a police officer, which incidentally was Light's occupation later in the show.
>Who would you kill
everyone
I hate the "Death Note is bad" meme
If Death Note isn't in your top 15 you're lying to yourself and just being a worthless contrarian.
Fable
A Death Note flies through your window right now. What is the first thing you do with it?
kill myself
people keep saying that, but they're missing how great the final gambit was
I've read Death Note about 6 times in the last 10 years and this is my conclusion
Make a god of death watch me jackin it
That's what I mean, Light did not know that you could kill a person ahead of time by writing down a cause of death. Light wasn't going to take up a new challenge to his title as Kira softly, he killed Lind because he was ignorant of the rules, not because he was prideful.
Besides Light's ignorance of the rules, he wasn't going to remember or care about Lind L. Tailor anytime after seeing him on the news as it doesn't make sense to magically remember some guy's name on television claiming to be L. So Light really didn't have any other choice but to accept L's challenge. It was a calculated attack on his ideology ipso facto.

Write down my name
>You need to have a name and a face and lots of people use a fake name or some other nickname on Facebook.
Can give up lifetime to gain access to a persons name via their face
I don't quite recall if you can destroy it, but if you could I would
Being any kind of detective or government worker is the best way to get the most usage out of the Death Note. There's probably more examples, but off the top of my head in Japanese fiction there's..
>Adachi in Persona 4
>Goro Akechi in Persona 5 who is unironically very similar to Light
Yes but you have to see them in person to get their name. Just seeing a picture doesn't work. They say that in the manga too.
>lets just kill all "evil" people
childhood is thinking that things like good and evil are black and white.
adulthood is realizing life is a delicious complicated shade of subjective grey.
Was Mordin wrong for doing what he did to the Krogans?
hmmm, been way too long since I reread, maybe it's time for another one
>Was Mordin wrong for doing what he did to the Krogans?
nope
Human life > non-human life
Death Note isn't bad, but it's not so excellent that it deserves to be in every single person's top 15. I can name 15 better anime right off the bat.

Pic unrelated I'm sure? Kira was justice
well using it proves there is a heaven or hell right? Because your soul goes to limbo or something? so I guess I would convert to whatever the fuck religion these shinigami fucks come from and try to live the rest of my life as a model citizen.
fuck trying to have fun for 90 years or something when I could be facing a eternity of aimlessly strolling around some grey void hellhole
Death Note has so many plot hole and unrealistic things that it completely falls apart if you apply any actual logic to it
>unrealistic things
Yeah I hate that shit in anime
It's floating around places, I read it like a year or two ago so it's not too foggy for me.
I also watched a bit of the anime.
>top 10 of the best intellectual battles in fiction
Nigga it is RIFE with "smart people are magic, because that's how being smart works, right?". It at least doesn't rely on it for the important moments, but it's definitely fucking there.
You can do some seriously fucked up shit in this one.
Logical inconsistences do ruin the show considering the type of story it is, yes
This. I wouldn't bother using it if it just confirms that there's some right religion because heaven exists. If that stupid rule didn't exist I'd just use it to kill powerful people who are obviously corrupt and keep it secret my whole life
>Nigga it is RIFE with "smart people are magic, because that's how being smart works, right?
name 1
>well using it proves there is a heaven or hell right? Because your soul goes to limbo or something?
In actuality, if you use the Death Note, your soul neither goes to Heaven nor Hell. When the Shinigami writes the wielder's name in the notebook, it's assumed that he becomes a Shinigami himself. That's just a theory though.
He didn't have to kill the fake L just then. If he would of waited any amount of time the police would of had no way to figure out who Kira was, hell he could of left him alive for a week and then kill him. Right before that he planned for awhile on how to kill that FBI agent (that wasn't needed) and rushes to kill L
List 10
>its a "smart" show written by dumb people episode
how do I unsubscribe from these reruns?
Better doesn't mean more favorite.
No, all of those are more better.
The writer said there's no afterlife for anybody. Maybe the Shinigami was just fucking with him for shits and giggles, didn't actually lie to him.
Don't they say that Kira killed him precisely because of the broadcast? They were attacking Kira based on his personality disorder, they weren't attacking his method of murder rather the reason they think he was murdering others.
yeah but who would NOT want to go to heaven?
Hell is well...hell and the "Shinigami void" or wherever is literally just a desolate grey desert loosely populated by other wierdos.
all the food and shit is dried and nasty. You literally just sit around bored off your ass trying to make sure your book doesn't fall into the wrong hands
again who the fuck would want that?
>Hunterlet trying to sneak his anime into a list of good anime
lmao when will they learn?
thats not how The Death Notes works. you cant mind control people, thats the retarded netflix versio
>pupa
You almost got me there user.
Well in that case shouldn't those 15 be everyone's favorite?
I can admit something is better but it doesn't have to mean it's my favorite.
Have you ever watched the anime?
I just started my first playthrough as a red lizard lord, stole some book i was not supposed to touch, and kill the magister that was keeping an eye on it when she was unconscious from the mad lady scene.
How evil am i?
nobody was investigating Kira apart from 5 guys fired from the police
after Light was suspected of being Kira, they told his dad, who was on the case, instead of kicking him off the case
and then they let Light on the investigation team, instead of inprisoning him under survelliance
that's probably my biggest gripe with the show, you can't take anything seriously after they do something that stupid
also the fact that L hands the fucking Death Note to Light after he takes it from Yotsuba and doesn't even watch what he's doing with it even though he knew inside all along that Light was Kira is pretty fucking stupid
Name better ones then. Please I need it season 2 of Death Note was so fucking bad I need an alternative.
what is most butchered localised game?
Check out Puppet Combo games, user.
It should be said you can see people's lifespan and name with a photo, but it doesn't always work. You need at least a profile or a full face photo in order to see it, and then, even when you do get the name, you have to abide by the rules of the Death Note anyway, so it comes with a lot of stipulations.
For example, you wanted to kill someone over Facebook, they have to have a decent photo, and you have to be able to kill them using any method from a heart attack to whatever you can dream up that will keep people from being suspicious and deleting their accounts. That way you can go on executing more people who have social media. So Facebook acts as a filter more than it acts like a powercreep.
>If I win this tennis match then he'll know
>But I know he'll know so I'll throw the match

Dark Souls 3
As a kid I rooted for Light because I was an edgy, arrogant moron. As I grew up, I realized that both Light and L are extremely similiar people, I root for neither of them
The writer is a big fan of Buddhism so that's probably why. Fun fact, the manga stops at 108 because it's a significant number in Buddhist lore.
you literally cannot name a smarter action anime than hxh
How do you know Heaven is any better? For all we know it's nothing more than a grassy plain full of plants and animals.
seeds of chaos
Light ended up as shinigami in the afterlife
Every battle of JoJos is high IQ and shits on other shows. I don't know a single anime or manga with fights as smart as in JoJos
to be fair ANY live action anime is actually dogshit irregardless of rather it comes from Japan or NA. Anime just doesn't translate well to live action. I remember way before THAT death note they had actually done another live action one (I saw it at my local mall) and it was dogshit.
also youtu.be
youtu.be
you know Battle Angel Alita is decent though.
jojo would be better than hxh if araki knew how to keep the intelligence of his characters consistent
Kaiji, literally the best anime for any Death Note fan.
I hate how underrated it is.
You can be pretty evil in killer7 despite the lack of mention in the thread. The whole point of the game usually goes over people's heads because of "lol so wacky randumb" but the strong themes to internationalism and syndicated crime have very real and very strong allegiances to vile and evil characters.
He didn’t need to know. He couldve easily let “L” live and the investigation would’ve gone nowhere. Fake L wasnt even a criminaliteit as far as he knew. It wasn’t necessary
Thanks user, I'll check it out. Any other gems you'd like to recommend?
That doesn't really answer why they did the broadcast though. It seems as if you're saying they just made an impromptu broadcast for no reason, with no agency, with no idea as to how to catch the killer, just to see what would happen. They did it specifically to challenge his megalomania.
Naruto for one huntlet
>O my good friend Gon, Did I ever mention to you my tranny brother who can grant all my wishes, sure woulda been useful earlier right?
>O my super secret Nen, which suddenly everyonje and their brother, including literally the deuteragonist's *younger* sister knows about
>O my 60 episodes of narrator exposition because the concept of show don't tell is for dumb people
>O MY RUBBER NEN
Truly the Rick and Morty of anime.
the first time i saw it i thought his laugh was funny
>nobody was investigating Kira apart from 5 guys fired from the police
They were too afraid to be killed. Kira's dad told the people that don't want to risk their lives trying to catch Kira should leave and he would not be mad if they left. A good bit of people fucked off
>after Light was suspected of being Kira, they told his dad, who was on the case, instead of kicking him off the case
Ok, don't really see why that bothers you so much tho. Also L probably thought it could be useful to have the guy on the team that knows him better than anyone
>and then they let Light on the investigation team, instead of inprisoning him under survelliance
Keep your enemies close, also you can't just imprison someone because you suspect them, also that was off the table when he let himself get locked away to proof that he isn't Kira and the killings continued while he was unable to do anything
younger brother* they all look like trannies
Depends what you liked in Death Note
The main character: Code Geass
Moral question and cat and mouse game: Monster
Mind Games and strategy: Kaiji ( Anything by the author actually but Kaiji is the best and most accessible one )
>Nobody can decide good or evil
>except me when I think about it lol
"Gray" morality always implies there's a mixture of right and wrong, which implies they can be measured. Which is still objectivity, just a different measure of it.
Right and wrong are fun to talk about until you have Godlike powers in front of you. Then its less about objective vs subjective and more about getting over your internalized guilt to get what you want. Which is what the original context of the OP was. Light completely loses himself because he's consumed by his desire.
Context matter, don't delude yourself into thinking you're mature and intelligent you embarrassing cunt
>>O my good friend Gon, Did I ever mention to you my tranny brother who can grant all my wishes, sure woulda been useful earlier right?
Literally the only flaw in the series
>>O my super secret Nen, which suddenly everyonje and their brother, including literally the deuteragonist's *younger* sister knows about
You need to refresh my memory for this one. I don't know what you're talking about.
>>O my 60 episodes of narrator exposition because the concept of show don't tell is for dumb people
How is this any worse than the character internal monologues present in nardo?
>>O MY RUBBER NEN
Yeah, it's pretty fucking genius. What's wrong with it?
I need to replay it, when it first came out i was goodfag, now it's time for some carnage.
>They were too afraid to be killed
yes but 5 people in the entire world? There should have been more investigation teams. There was an FBI team and then they all died so America did... nothing?
>Ok, don't really see why that bothers you so much tho
Because you absolutely never put someone with a personal connection to a suspect on a case, the reasons should be obvious
>Keep your enemies close, also you can't just imprison someone because you suspect them
Yes you can, if someone is strongly suspected of controlling the most powerful precision weapon in the world you can bet your ass they'd be imprisoned and under constant survelliance until they solved the case no matter what
Code Geass was definitely great. Gonna add Monster to my list. Thanks again.
>How is this any worse than the character internal monologues present in nardo?
I concede your point. Hunter x Hunter is just as intellectual as Naruto. You've convinced me.
>O my good friend Gon, Did I ever mention to you my tranny brother who can grant all my wishes
did you not watch the show? theres a price for the wishes and usually people get fucked so hard its not worth asking. You wish for a Teddy Bear and then your cats head explodes.
>my super secret Nen, which suddenly everyonje and their brother, including literally the deuteragonist's *younger* sister knows about
dont watch the show so I dont know what you are refering to here. is this the hair growy adult mode thingy?
>O my 60 episodes of narrator exposition because the concept of show don't tell is for dumb people
in the book its worse. just WORDS WORDS WORDS WORDS somethimes when trying to explain abilities. dont know what the fuck the creator is thinking.
>O MY RUBBER NEN
still makes me laugh. almost GULLOTINE GORILLA tier. what the fuck was the dude thinking. why didnt he have the balls to just kill off Hisoka? what a pussy lol
You're seriously putting it Naruto level just because of the narration?
But that’s because you don’t have a choice.
he scary
Code Gayass 5/10
Monster 7/10
Kaiji 9/10, 10/10 if they adapt 17 steps arc
You can also be pretty evil in Fallout's 1 and 2.
Going up against The Master, and letting him sodimize the rest of Vault 42 for the sake of creating more sterile Supermutants is pretty good.
>did you not watch the show? theres a price for the wishes and usually people get fucked so hard its not worth asking. You wish for a Teddy Bear and then your cats head explodes.
Killua is exempt from that. It's kinda a major plot point.
>dont watch the show so I dont know what you are refering to here. is this the hair growy adult mode thingy?
What explanation is given for Killua not simply not knowing nen, but not knowing OF nen when his younger brother already knows it? How come half the fucking population are running around with superpowers yet they're still something incredibly underground?
I'm putting it on that level cause it's dumb as shit
Sea of thieves.
>Killua is exempt from that.
Wrong. If I remember right it was connected to the intention of the wish. If it's a good intention nothing will happen, if you wish for something selfish you're going to get punished. If Killua asked for money he'd die too
It's not exactly subtle.
Not canon
Watch the OVA you moron, it's so fucking obvious that he's a Shinigami it hurts
>What explanation is given for Killua not simply not knowing nen, but not knowing OF nen when his younger brother already knows it? How come half the fucking population are running around with superpowers yet they're still something incredibly underground?
hmm never thought about that.
good point. but then again I think HxH is a really wonky world.
you have old-timey samurais living in the same age as high tech tanks, video games and massive cities.
No, Killua didn't have to go through the request bullshit at all. That's why the fingernails were taken from the bodyguard, they were for the previous wish his brother made (for a computer).
revelations persona
>changed location to america
>japanese character becomes black
>cut half the game
>Killua didn't have to go through the request bullshit at all
Because his wish wasn't selfish
Maybe there are more people investigating Kira but what would they even do? If you don't have all the info L's team has then you have no way to even begin finding out anything. Also many people are pro Kira so leaking all the info to the many people might lead to people sabotaging your case
hellmoo, because players cant just logout to avoid you. their body actually remains in the game and you can do whatever you want to them just because you're stronger.
>would of
>could of
Yes it is
So you have no sources huh? Just your theories, game theories. Thanks for nothing
what the fuck
I don't need a proof because it's obvious and you're a fucking moron for not seeing it
Was Ryuk actually blind in that OVA? His eyes looked fucked up. That is basically a death sentence for a Shinigami since he no longer can see and write down names to prolong his life so that was probably the punishment for fucking over the king
They should of went with the original (alternative) ending where Light lives to be an old man, get tired of being Kira, has Ryuk write his name in the Death Note, and then he has to experience every death he's ever caused in the Death Note before his soul disappears completely, and he decides to use all the time he has in the Shinigami world (which considering his kill count, is alot) to look for the Shinigami King and make a deal with him.
Serious question, right before L died he was about to concoct some sort of plan that would've exposed Mia (and as a result, Light as well), I forget the details but that Shinigami bitch kills both Watari and L right on the spot before they go through with it. Doesn't anybody on the investigation find that even a little bit suspicious?
Why did you ask for games about pure evil beings but post a gif of some random swimming instructor?
what's context of this? this from the DC/Watchmen crossover ?
It's made especially stupid when you see the crowds for the *televised* sold out Hisoka fight. Dude literally clones himself, they have a discussion about superpowers (I'm willing to concede that might not be audible but that doesn't change a thing), guy just reattaches his arm willy nilly, then kills a dude with some playing cards, and this is a world in which the fucking internet exists, yet the widely known secret of giving yourself superpowers is still something completely unknown to the wider population to the point where top tier fighters can get to the top of that battle tower bullshit without even hearing about it? Despite that fight being just another day in the world? Indefensible writing.
His plan was to blow up the "if you don't write a name at least once every 14 days after using the notebook, you'll die" fake rule by using a death row inmate as a guinea pig to execute another death row inmate.
You could stretch it to say that Light carried out the experiment but just killed the guy after 14 days with a piece of the notebook stashed somewhere else but it's still sort of a cheat.
Yeah Doomsday clock.
That's not really context as much as it is a source. Did you want to know what the scene was about?
It is literally spelled out in the manga that both Death Note users and regular people go to Mu (nothingness). Ryuk strigh up says there is no afterlife.
Your headcannon means jack shit
Okay, but what if another Shinigami were to grab his hands and help him write names down? I guess it would fail though since he has to actually see the person.
Planescape Torment
Nothingness isn't defined, the shinigami world looks fucking empty and could be nothingness as well. The OVA VERY strongly hints that Light is the shinigami, just accept it already
>Did you want to know what the scene was about?
yeh
Does the Shinigami Realm count as Mu (nothingness)? It's literally devoid of anything, so theoretically Light could have been transported there.
Yeah you have to imagine the exact guy you wanna kill. He could pick some random guy he saw on earth though I guess. If he still has a death note at all
It's Reggie Long getting locked up after siding with Batman in Prime Earth. Batman puts him there because he wants more information on where he came from and what's going on.
I know this is a stealth death note thread, but Mask of the betrayer is one of the most cathartic games to play a irredeemably awful bastard. Best part is you don't get punished for it with a shitty ending. The pure evil ending is arguably (read inarguably) the best ending
Greedy and corrupt people.
Watching this as a grown man, Light should have been caught multiple times a lot sooner. As soon as Misa was first detained under suspection of being the second Kira and she happened to be Light's girlfriend, who is already highly suspected of being the first Kira, and L doesn't put enough emphasis on that coincidence when she's arrested. And near the end when L is dead and its just the boys and Light, there are times where he's just openly saying "Hey Nier I'm Kira, I'm killing these people"
There's tons of other little things but you get it.
>One piece.
Confirmed for shit-tier taste, how the fuck do you even stomach the retardation of that art style?
The art style is literally the only good thing about it.
Light even makes fun several times of how stupid everyone is.
Two reasons why you’re all retarded:
1) if mu = Shinigami world then why is the Shinigami world so barren and not full of BILLIONS of death humans.
>hurr durr most humans who became Shinigamis gave up on writing names and died or there wasn’t enough people for all Shinigami to survive
Ryuk says most Shinigamis are afraid of dying (and there’s only like 10 we see) and that most of the time they’re not even busy writing names, just bored outta their minds.
2 ) Why would Ryuk call The Shinigami World “Mu” instead of “the Shinigami world” when he already refers to the Shinigami world as “THE FUCKING SHINIGAMI WORLD”
But nah, Light totally became Sans because muh headcannon is law your just too stupid for not thinking the same tetarded way I do.
>yet the widely known secret of giving yourself superpowers
desu why bother.
not worth being super human if you have to do some crazy workout like Netero and non-stop life or death training. Not only that but then what jobs would be available for you? only combat oriented jobs where you may end up some monsters midday snack? naw man fuck that shit.
I'd honestly rather sit on my ass eating tasty snacks playing vidya or watching nen-MMA on TV sticking to my regular day job of being some min wage data monkey.
I know that might sound crazy but I'd much rather stick to a comfy risk free life in a city protected by Super Heroes rather than train to become a super hero myself and constantly face other crazy villain sociopaths or monsters.
I rooted for Ryuk because he just sat back and watched the tweests happen while enjoying his apples.
>Headcanon law
>Recognizes Ryuk
>Acts EXTREMELY similiar to Light
>Similiar clothes as Light
>Ryuk seems to recognize him
Why are you denying it so hard?
What are some good Death Note fanfics?
Plus leaving before hearing the end of the story he already knows but still asked to hear from Ryuk
that's something a 13 year old edgy kid would post on his facebook account
Ryuk should have stuck around to see if Light could have somehow wormed his way out of the situation after being caught. He should have learned through his experience with Light that crazy shit can happen out of nowhere in the human world. Plus, wouldn't it have been more entertaining for him to see what would happen instead of writing down Light's name as he ran away? He should have at least waited until night time or something. There was no way for Ryuk to know with 100% certainty that Light was truly done for. The expectations of shinigami have been subverted before.
In reality if Ryuk wasn't a dick he would have helped Light to see where his future would have gone for entertainment's sake, but nope. It'd also invalidate the shit out of the story and be a complete asspull on his behalf, but whatever.
>Royalty wants to be buddy-buddy with a masked terrorist guilty of numerous murders and atrocities.
Why are Yaoi fans so unfathomably retarded? Why will they ignore all logic, reason, and common sense to push their shipping bullshit?
How is it bad writing if it causes you to feel inept? Due to characters being motivated in a way you disagree with?
>Recognizes Ryuk
Just like every other Shinigami
>Acts EXTREMELY similiar to Light
Lmao what
>Similiar clothes as Light
When did Light wear a biker outfit? No wait don’t tell me, human clothing counts as “similar clothing”
>Ryuk seems to recognize him
Just like with every other Shingami
Why are you reaching so hard?
I'm also been searching for a game to roleplay a "evil hero", especially one where your actions and choices actually impact the world.
This game is the only one that comes to mind because you can literally kill every NPC and destroy almost anything. You can literally set a innocent NPC house on fire, or commit a genocide in a public street which I actually did the last time I played.
Dragon Age series also have moments where a choice can end up with you having to put down a fellow party member.
Hey faggots. It was left ambiguous for a reason, so you can pick whichever interpretation you prefer. There's no 'canon' or 'right' answer, because if there was, it wouldn't have been left ambiguous. You're both right and the pissing contest is devolving into 'NO U'. Give it a break.
For Ryuk to suddenly say "fuck it I'll help Light out" after tens of chapters of being a neutral observing party? That'd honestly be an asspull.
He's referring to the way he walks, like how after he got shot several times before he died. And by clothing, I don't think thats a biker outfit. But he is wearing the tie Light had. It was either worn like normal or around his head iirc. Also like the other user said, he left before the end probably because Ryuk killed him and didn't want to hear that part.
I mean obviously this guy isn't just some random nobody shinigami. I'm sure they knew people would be thinking this.
If he already knew the story then why did he ask Ryuk to tell it in the first place. If he remembers being human why does he not know what the human world is like?
But an asspull is known as an official literary technique that you keep magically attributing to some fantasy of bad writing.
What he did was what Walter White did at the end of Breaking Bad, and what Judas did at the end of Jesus' life, and what Telemachus did at the end of the Odyssey. There can be no better way to satisfy a character's change of heart.
>commit a genocide in a public street
You don't even know what genocide is.
Ah, that's an interesting way to explain it. Very well, I concede.
This, you're really meant to pretend hes not even there. Because to everyone else, really he isn't. I think he's meant to be a way for Light to explain his shit to the audience because there's literally nobody else he should be telling that shit to, its a 2 way connection that can't leak, its a character you know you can trust and you don't even factor him when a problem comes up in the story. Ryuk is the viewer.
Undertale
Not like we were arguing, an argument has to have a disagreement. Just a mild configuration of vocabulary is all.
SMT apocalypse not going to say how but it does
The real problem with Death Note is the butchering of Light's character once he's found out.
Zoomer here I watched half of it and liked it wouldn’t call it the best but a solid 8/10
Do you think Ryuk ever fucked Shinigami Light?
League of Legends
>Butchering Light's character
He's literally always been a hyper competitive manchild deep down though. Well after being corrupted by the Death Note, but you get my point. He was always in character.
>You don't even know what genocide is.
Really now?
Please, by all means, tell me what that word means then.
>He didn't have to kill the fake L just then
Yes he did, because Light was a textbook egomaniac. He literally could not help himself from doing it.
>SMT
SMT in general is probably one of the best examples. Specifically the Chaos endings though.
"Genocide is a term used to describe violence against members of a national, ethnic, racial or religious group with the intent to destroy the entire group."
Among the myriad of reasons why Code Geass is trash, "intelligence is basically magic" is the worst thing.
>Chaos = evil
You kinda missed the point of SMT guy
>hyper competitive
There's nothing hyper competitive about Light staying absolutely quiet after Near's response to his diatribe about Kira bringing order to the world. Near says something like
>You're nothing but a murderer
And Light has absolutely NOTHING to say to that. That is NOT the Light that the show has built up for 35 episodes. Light would've said something about the ends justifying the means. He would've called out Near's sense of justice as being a selfish desire that would set the world back a decade. He would look to Matsuda in taht same breath. He would cite statistics, he would BE the intelligent Light the show has built up. But no, they ruin his character by giving him nothing to say before he starts his bluff about the notebook being, potentially, fake.
Which is what I did. Thanks for proving how much of a retard you are though.
Kill the guy my oneitis replaced me with
>inb4 edgy retard
Fuck you, I want my damn revenge
Not unless you annihilated an entire race.
go back to Yea Forums you fucking losers
You kind of already are pure evil in KOTOR 2: Nihilus is literally just the you that died on Malachor.
>top 10 of the best intellectual battles in fiction
anyone who says shit like this only consume manga, anime and video games aka the most brainlet mediums
lol I always thought it was weird how Near and L never expanded upon their reasoning on how Kira is truly a piece of shit. They always just said he was selfish and a crazy murderer, but barely anything beyond that. Seriously though, imagine how many other criminals that actually harmed innocent people L and Near could have caught in the time that they were hunting for Kira. I know they say it's just their personality that they only take the cases that interest them, but that honestly makes them almost as bad as Kira. If you're going to obsessively hunt this one guy over all the other murderers in the world, you should at least give some thought out statement on why exactly you think Kira is nothing but a piece of shit.
Chaos in general is pretty evil, even if it's not the main intention.
Exactly. It's just shallow bullshit. It's a fun ride, but it could've been more than a fun ride.
Adding muh before something is not an argument and also if you have such a simplistic utilitarian view of morality and genuinely think that is reasonable you are an idiot
In truth L only took on the Kira case because he was interested. For Near it was moreso the fact that he was doing it to avenge L and take his place. They were never really doing it for "justice".
Soul Nomad is the go to evilfag game but the evil route is NG+
Oh come now, user. You and I both know that pic related was the only good part of that piece of med resistant AIDS.
Set it on fire.
How is this weeaboo shit videogames?
FUCK OFF WEEBS!!
Why did you put quotation marks around justice?
I don't know if this was just a bad translation or something, but I recall Near basically calling L a loser in the scene where Near and Mello were first introduced. Because of this, I never thought vengeance was a part of it.
Do I have to kill people to get a shinigame wife to show up and shadow me?
>/v is for succesfull people
everything after L's death was pretty bad desu
>muh Pogeyman thread died for this...
Instantly kill drumpf and the rest of the shitty neo-nazis. I can't even imagine him getting another term ugh
What's a game where I can be reformed into something sinister?
R-Type
Tales of Symphonia!
Final Fantasy Tactics.
Seiken Densetsu 3!
It's been a while but I remember the evil path in KOTOR being immensely satisfying
>thinking for yourself is bad
Explain this.
man the art in the manga was pretty good
Like half the Chaos endings are "fuck everything, strength rules, the blood of the weak covers the Earth/the Earth no longer exists".
It's a shame their new manga Platinum End is awful as hell.
None of these are intricately evil though, and Law is just as worse. I mean you literally nuke Tokyo with a Black Hole in the Law ending of IV to "purify" the world of it's existence.
76561198441211608 Hack this steam bitch
swtor is the edgiest game ever made, yes even edgier than hatred
TORtanic? Really?
Soul Nomad
One of the starter bounty hunter quests has an option to kill some guy and give his widow his severed head iirc
>tenor.gif
I've seen this multiple times as a name for a random gif, what the hell is it?
>Western Shit
Fuck off. Just the word "Nomad" alone reeks of WEST
>japanese game developed by a japanese company called nippon ichi
>western shit
user are you feeling okay?
Soul Nomad and the World Eaters has the most downright evil evil route out there.
=)
Embarrassing.
The fact that you're joking only makes it worse.
>ctrl+Sould nomad 3 results
Off to a good start
>no overlord, disgaea, silent hill 3, homecoming, dishonored, way of the samurai, killer is dead, deception, trapt, shin megami tensei
>no results
You guys are why Yea Forums sucks.
You on the fence people are the worst thinking you're better than everyone else. You either choose one or the other.
Why mention any of those when Soul Nomad is the cream of the crop?
Tenor is one of those websites that hosts a ton of searchable gifs. I think it's the one that twitter and discord has built in
this is just a thinly veiled Yea Forums thread, no point trying to actually discuss games here
