Despite popular belief, /vp/ wasn't made as a containment board in the same vein as /mlp/. It was made as a massive general board to push discussion in a direction that didnt clog up Yea Forums. Ponyspam was mostly a problem because it got free (You)s before (You)s were even a thing (at least I don't think they were in 2010/early 2011). People, especially Yea Forums, could not stop getting mad at it, and that probably lead to people who didn't even like it spamming it even harder across all the populated boards to get a rise (of course the autism was strong even then so it could've really been a majority of fans).

Nowadays you couldn't delete /mlp/ despite the show being long-irrelevant and dying because you would ignite that same shitposting for a solid month as if it was 2011 again, but with WAY more fucking ammunition. As such, the husk of a board, drained of even most of its degenerates who moved to /trash/, will remain until this site is well and truly dead.

t. got caught up in ponyfag craze in 2010 because I was a dumb teenager on Yea Forums and quit the whole thing once I realized how fucked it all was. I was in the thread that coined "brony". I'm so sorry.

this game has fantastic sound design, and I'm not talking about the song
nearly every action -- dashing, jumping, holding jump, running -- has a unique sound associated with it. there's also a unique sound when stars spawn so you can tell when to dash. heck, there's even a sound once you hit 10,000 points. you can amost play this game with your eyes closed. game has a great sense of flow.

the problems are the random placement of stars on the above/below path, that can fuck you combo. and if you go too high, the path resets high unexpectedly.
