I liked HoS better just because of the Devil interactions. Blood and Wine is fantastic too, basically the DLC makes this game worth it. Otherwise the vanilla game gets pretty old after a while

As per ancient WRPG tradition the main plot line is utter tripe while the side quests are where the real game is hidden.
Also the entire game's combat was laughably trivial, Death March was only mildly challenging until the point when you get some half decent gear and some semblance of a build at about level 20.

It's one of my favourite games of all time, but what's weird about this one is that I probably will never, ever replay it. Which is weird, I have some favourites (Mass Effect, Dragon Age Origins, Baldurs Gate) that I can replay literally whenever. And Witcher 3 is equal to them if not even higher but it's SUCH a fucking massive game, and my autism compels me to do everything in the game and it's just impossible here. I did it once, but I got burned out for life I think.
