Magnemite is alright, my only complaint is that magneton is literally just 3 magnemites slapped together. At least magnezone fixed that line in Gen 4.

Ranking overall generations is somewhat fraught because you can say one generation is great or one generation is shit and people can pop in with a counter example of good or bad. Pokemon generations are always a mixed bag. 5th gen gets a lot of shit because they introduce so many new pokemon and some of them are really bad. But two of my favorite pokemon are from Gen 5

Snorlax wasn't an absolute kong until second gen as it was, and that was because of curse.
That being said, steel type did way more harm than psychic types. Almost 20 years later and it's still (arguably) the best typing in the game.

Nostalgiafags still hate it for having a 100% new pokedex before post game without any of the "classic" pokemon. BW2 then changed that and it managed to have a lot of variety to choose, so I don't get what kind of shit taste someone must have to rank it as the worst pokemon game like

BW suffered the same problem RSE had initially because earlier adopters grew up and while they viewed gen 1 with fondness, they thought Pokemon was juvenile trash and only rediscovered the franchise with DPPt and fell in love with it again. Here, fans that picked up the GBA games first slowly soured on the franchise because of nostalgia for the older entries and looked at Unova and its dex with disgust for making Pokemon out of trashbags and having "overdesigned" Pokemon compared to the washed out, simple designs of Gen 3. They don't care about mechanics and QoL improvements or challenge mode it BW2 legitimately being the last games where Gamefreak actually fucking tried. Instead, they favor X&Y for bringing back Gen 1 Pokemon, giving you a beefed up Kanto starter, etc, and swear up and down that Gen 6 is where Pokemon got good again.

Electrode, Magnemite-Zone, the Rotoms, and Chandelure are great, Klefki and Garbodore are heinous.

But thats still wrong, despite Kanto mons outnumbering Johto mons by 51, every route still has plenty of Johto mons on it, with the exception of water routes, which were all Tentacool all the time until Gen 3, where they were Tentacool + Wingull.
