Ever think about how hard the writer at R* beat his pencil dick while writing Trevor?
>LIKE A REAL CRAZY SOCIOPATH - IMAGINE IF THE JOKER WAS REAL. HE ALSO RANTS ABOUT MODERN SOCIETY LIKE AMERICAN TORTURE BUT DESPITE BEING SADISTICALLY VIOLENT HE'S SOMEHOW CONSIDERED RELATABLE TO RETARDS UNFFFFFFFFF UUUUUUUGH *CUM* >BE STILL MY BEATING YET IMPOTENT ERECTION, AS I AM ABOUT DROP THE MOST HELLA F*CKING EPIC CHARACTER ON ALL OF GAMING >ALSO DESPITE BEING A CRIMINAL ON THE RUN FROM THE GOVERNMENT, HE STILL USES A SMART PHONE BECAUSE WE CAN'T CHANGE THE GAMEPLAY SYSTEMS FOR EACH CHARACTER
I wish I could have seen the GTA5 script before BrBa (Breaking Bad) ruined good writing. He's the Rick and Morty of game characters
I mean look at this self indulgent promo shot
>Hur look at me hold up this lighter, isn’t that so effing hardcore? What do you think I'll do with it? Something... edgy.....
>Vice City before Scarface >3 before soprano's >SA before NWO Wow OP. Pretty wild pattern you picked up on there. Who woulda thunk these games are meant to be a time capsule of pop culture
Isaac Flores
No those were fine, 5 just sucks
Ethan Mitchell
OP I'm a girl(female) and I'm absolutely turned on by your observations and would like to have sex. Please PM me your address ;)

GTA V was terrible
Dylan Brown
I've seen this exact thread word for word too many times now.
OP either works for Rockstar, or is just obsessed.
I legit don't understand why people find this copypasta funny. pastas are funny when they are incorrect and they can easily bait people, such as the Bloodborne shitpost. The trevor pasta is objectively correct all the way through. can someone explain why this is always getting posted pls?
Jaxon Johnson
>before BrBa (Breaking Bad) ruined good writing
ayo holup, what exactly are you >implying
Adam Mitchell
when I was 18 and GTAV came out, I thought trevor was cringeworthy, then returned the game to redbox
played it on pc this year and realized he's the only enjoyable character in the game.
Aaron Murphy
>what is pasta just how fucking new are you?
Ryan Jackson
The only thing I’ve wctuwlly absorbed from your post is that you’re upset Trevor ciritizes the government torturing people.
Luis Flores
>played it on pc this year and realized he's the only enjoyable character in the game.
You're proving me right btw
Chase Lee
Breaking bad was a good show, but ever since it became super popular all other writers started trying to copy the wrong aspects of it, which has fucked up other tv shows
Colton Cook
Man you're stupid. (Like Trevor fans tend to be)
Grayson Peterson
Michael was interesting when he wasn't on his "woe is me" bullshit though. It was cool to see a shitty family dynamic in a gta game, and even how after certain points in the story the son starts working out, the daughter chills out with the whore shit, and Michael's marriage gets back on track.
Pretty sure it's not literally 1 writer but a bunch of them. Back to they s o y bin with you.
Angel White
Observe Gus, especially in Better Call Saul. He became cartoonish just for epic badass scenes, at the expense of his character having any depth or believability. And people eat that shit up.
Nicholas Jones
Never even played gta.
That’s how it’s spelt.
Sebastian Peterson
Writer(s) Dan Houser Rupert Humphries
GTA5 feels like Houser unleashed, with all his bad writing quirks on display and I have no doubt Trevor was his baby
Landon Lee
There has never been a single interesting GTA character, but Trevor is still among my favourites in the franchise simply because he (along with Luis) are the only protoganists who don't take shit / let themselves get fucked over by others. Michael got fucked by the FBI. Franklin by Devin. CJ by Tenpenny. Niko by basically everybody except Paquie. Tommy by Sonny. It was refreshing to see a character who bypassed the ludo-narrative dissofuck and actually had the balls to not get fucked over, even if his actual dialogue is a cringe-fest
Adrian Cook
>damn i sure do hate character conflict and intrigue
YOU TOOK 15 YEARS FROM ME SONNY
NOW I'M GONNA MAKE YOU PAY
is a great line that needs context - trevorfags just want characters to do random things at random times to random people for no reason
Mason Lewis
that's because Franklin was boring and hard to like for most of the game. Michael was fine but needed more protagonism since he's the one driving the story anyway
what I truly hate about Trevor is how everything he does has no consequence. he's hated by everyone in sandy shores and despite knowing where he lives the worst that happens to him is that some bikers just trash his trailer
Jaxon Butler
I enjoy conflict between characters, but Rockstar is doing it the wrong way. In all GTA games, the main baddie is a douchebag who the MC works for despite knowing they are getting ripped off or not truly benefitting. It ends up being pointless though since the MC just kills them and all their minions at the end anyway. If Rockstar wants to make a good GTA antagonist, they should make a character who opposes the protag DIRECTLY.
Austin Morris
>If Rockstar wants to make a good GTA antagonist, they should make a character who opposes the protag DIRECTLY.
Play Saints Row 1 and 2 - good game that do "not under the thumb of x" storytelling well.
Blake Cruz
niko was the shit, what are you talking about? i agree that Luis is good, but Trevor doesn't strike me as a character more than a cheap self-insert for edgy kids
Robert Lopez
Aside from SA; 3 and VC did not take themselves seriously and clearly were ripping off their respective source material and did not give a fuck and was clearly a parody/spin off or whatever
Meanwhile V is all TAKE ME SERIOUSLY I'M TOTALLY NOT RIPPING OFF BRAKING BAD REEEEE
Xavier Barnes
Dimitri Raskalov tried by all means to get rid of Nico because he was a paranoid fuck. He just kept failing because he never dared to be near him.
Camden Fisher
Gta 5 was never about good writing. It was about appealing to as many demographics as possible after the flop that was Gta 4. - You had Franklin, to appeal to the chad/nigger playerbase - You had Trevor, to appeal to the edgelord/loser playerbase - You had Michael, to appeal to people who actually cared about a semi-decent story Everyone got a slice of cake. Quit complaining, we got Michael, the other got their own character
Alexander Anderson
serious question, how does V rip off Breaking Bad?
Landon Sullivan
It looks like he really lives in a society.
Eli Hall
don't listen to those other nerds, BrBa had amazing writing, they just milked a season and a half too many out of it
Juan Reyes
OP here. dm'd you my address. ;)
ps bring cherries. dont ask
Tyler Evans
as much as s5 felt like a drag, ozymandias and the ending of granite state were the absolute shit
Oliver Mitchell
THE FLY IS AMAZING BECAUSE RIAN JOHNSON SUBVERTED MY EXPECTATION BRAVA BRBAD
Carson Miller
Was wondering this as well. I can't see it.
Liam Murphy
what a retard copy-paste..
Obiviously you have no clue just useless smart phones are for following someone who uses prepaid phone/internet service that is paid with cash...
Aaron Green
season 1 was fine. 2 and 3 probably should have been merged together to some extent, since not too much happens at the end of 2, and not much happens at the beginning of 3. 4 was good. season 5A was pointless and most of it could have been cut entirely except for maybe 2 episodes, but 5B was fucking kino.
Jayden Perez
i always though that V used mostly Heat and mayby some Fast and Furious themes, cant remember any BB references in it..
Michael Butler
I agree with most of this, but disagree about season 2. the first half of season 3 was all filler. season 2s second half attempted to do an actual plot arc, but it was pretty retarded. They should have just scrapped the airplane incident and just had Jane's death be the driving plot point
Elijah Flores
Trevor was at least more interesting than most GTA protagonists. Claude, Franklin and CJ were fucking boring. Tommy was cool as fuck and Niko was depressing.
Leo Sanchez
but it was the driving plot point. Jane dying affected Walter and Jesse even through season 4, the planes crashing felt more like a way to show how Walter's actions have bigger consequences than just letting one person die, but it also shows how many lives can be ruined from that. i agree that the fake foreshadowing of Skyler and Ted dying was stupid, but iirc they had no idea of what was going to happen at that point
season 2 suffered from the changes in Tuco being the main villain, which is why it feels like filler, because it was
Dominic Watson
most heists were inspired off a movie Jewelry Store = Beverly hills cop Blitz Play = Heat Paleto = North Hollywood Shooting [real] FIB (fire) = Mission Impossible FIB (quiet) = Watergate [real] Big Score (quiet) = Italian Job Big Score (loud) = Heat + Die Hard 2
Hudson Edwards
Next GTA game shouldn't focus on a seasoned-crime veteran. The MC should just be a falling-down type character who is just a normal bureaucrat who is fed up with taking shit all the time.
But the point is he wasn't normal to begin with and was mentally fucked from the start
Jaxon Johnson
>BrBa (Breaking Bad) If you're going to clarify what BrBa stands for, why not just save yourself the effort and just write Breaking Bad from the start?
Connor Sullivan
>Banality angle for the sake of being relatable >... turned psychotic Yeah that'll jive real well with the school shooter epidemic.
Samuel Walker
>Ever think about how hard the writer at R* beat his pencil dick while writing Trevor? Trevor is obviously a piss-take on the average GTA player, how fucking dense are you
Julian Gray
The next game should focus on a mentally disabled veteran
Do it, GTA is like South Park, whining won't be taken seriously because they've inoculated themselves by pushing the envelope for decades You could even seriously explore why the school shooter epidemic exists
