I also have octo expansion and it's too hard for me but I refuse to skip levels.

are the missions like puzzles or are they more like levels from the main game but harder?
from what I saw in the trailers it looked like octo expansion consisted of generally short puzzle-like challenge segments as opposed to longer levels

Much more challenging, 80 levels + some special ones, good story bits, also you get to play as an octoling in mp

Not him, but they extended the support for Splatoon 1 for way longer than the initial time frame. I would not be shocked if they did the same for Splatoon 2.
