Both TP and SS failed fell short to convey an distinct atmosphere through their music/sound design. BotW is a back to form in this regard hands down.

Nah, the soundtrack is great. The problem is you don't get to listen to the majority of it for 90% of the time because they wanted some stupid fuckin piano playing in the entire overworld. Also they made like 4 variations of a track for each dungeon but then made the dungeons so piss easy that you get to listen to about 40 seconds of each track.
