Barely anybody takes matchmaking comp seriously. If you are a high level, then you aren't going to find that many matches.

Nobody plays Valve's competitive it has almost none of the rules that the small competitive community has set into place. If you want to play 6s/highlander and whatnot you'll have to use lobby sites.

But TF2's fan comp isn't very good either. TF2 was never really meant to be a competitive game. I wouldn't be against the idea but for such a thing to actually work at this point Valve would've have to go make a TF3 that is comp focused from the ground-up. And that ain't happening.

I do not like Overwatch. I think it's a very casual game that doesn't understand what audience it has, it has bad characters, it has bad writing and much of the core mechanics are badly done.

But TF2 comp is such a horrible shitshow that deserves no defense whatsoever. It's like defending AIDS.

I think it's ironic the thing that many thought would be the end of community servers actually ended up ruining TF2's base game so much that community servers got back on the rise.

It goes up and down. Keep in mind it's midday on Wednesday. This isn't friday or saturday night.
