>Those seemingly random spikes in BotW I know it's still not as popular over there, but how does this rank among the best selling Zelda games in Japan? Are they finally getting interested in the series?
Tyler Sullivan
Can you blame them? They're probably starved for games on the PS4.
Jason Gutierrez
>Anthem sold slightly more than 76 in its first week delet this
Jack Rogers
>hey Kenshiro, you want to play that gaijin game thats been showing up on youtube ads? >I don't know, those games seems ugly with alot of black people >but you can fly and shoot rockets like our favorite gundam >if you want Ryo, just don't make me regret trusting those gaijin
Gabriel Cooper
aren't we all?

Day's Gone is coming. It's this year GOTY. Watch Japan buy 2 mil easy
Kayden Hill
>port of iOS shit Numbers are too high
Grayson Powell
What if Gays Done will sold more than Sekiro in Japan?
it's just a deluxe port, probably cost 10k to port and add some more assets. I'm surprised it even sold that well since Catherine one didn't have a large fan base

>12./15. [NSW] The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild # (Nintendo) {2017.03.03} (¥6.980) - 7.748 / 1.299.813 (-6%) Stop it, stop buying this awful fucking videogame
Brody Hill
It's the fourth fucking physical release of the first three games (sixth if you add digital-only ones), of course it was going to do shit. The funny thing is that the Switch rerelease of the latest Layton game, while also doing badly, at least outsold Ace Attorney on Switch and PS4 combined.
Brandon Carter
It's the best-selling Zelda in Japan aside from the NES original by a mile. It's above Ocarina of Time too, which was the second best-selling one.
Elijah Young
>[PS4] Catherine: Full Body # (Atlus) {2019.02.14} (¥7.980) - 7.031 / 58.855 (-86%) FLOP
Levi Torres
How long until the Switch has outsold the lifetime total of PS4s? It looks like it would be soon.
Anthony Jones
Either April or May.
Evan Gray
Does full body not add another whole character and story?
Owen Hernandez
>Anthem # (Electronic Arts) {2019.02.22} (¥7.800) - 77.938 Japan what the fuck were you thinking?
>Week 7 On a scale of 1 to 10, how fucking retarded are you?
>resetera Never fucking mind.
Luis Roberts
>kh3 hasn't even sold a million in japan
JUST
Austin Myers
New character, new story chapters because of him, new endings, new levels, new online, even a freaking DLC pack with a dozen or so new VAs for Catherine
Cameron Gonzalez
>xboone 78
Hahahahahahahahahahahha
>b..b...but phil will save xbox in japan >b...b..b...but microsoft will buy new japanese studios and destroy nintendo and sony!

We know from PQube that a simple port of kusoge to PC costs $100k. In the case of Full Body, they changed the engine, added new animated videos, recorded more VA, gave Catherine like 12 different voiceovers, added a whole new character with their own routes, added new routes to K and C, redid a bunch of models and added new ones and on top of that had to make their in-house engine working on a Vita since it only ever ran on PS3 and PS4 (I'm sure those 8k sales on Vita were worth it). You bet your ass it cost way more than $100k. They also announced manga and anime adaptations - they clearly expected the whole thing to be bigger. I'm not saying they didn't earn money back, but I'm sure it performed far below expectations.

>13./00. [NSW] Girls und Panzer: Dream Tank Match DX # (Bandai Namco Games) {2019.02.21} (¥7.600) - 7.651 / NEW It could've been worse
Luis Fisher
wasn't there a PS4 release? Where is that on the charts?
Evan Cruz
The vita sales where the worst part of that port.
Easton Hill
It's also Japan only so it's literally it. They're never getting any more money from that port. Imagine how much better it'd sell on Switch or PC.
Asher Morris
we did it bros
Aiden Bennett
2nd with 40k or something a year ago That's why I said it could've been worse
Blake Richardson
>I was one of only 9k people who bought it on Vita ;_; I can understand that though.
James Torres
It's not just a port with new assets, it was rebuilt in a different engnie
Joshua Brown
i would venture to guess it was a total of a 1.4 million total for the game and with anime that is costly. Anime can be upwards to 150k per episode to 500k per episode depending on the budget, team and studio involved that is licensed to do it. In this instance it would probably take sales in the US to break even and then some. >They also announced manga and anime adaptations That is easily going to make money. Its going to depend on the studio involved like all things but i have hopes for it just because it would not really be a difficult adaptation to do. Especially if they go the OVA route of the endings.
Liam Miller
Japanese Westaboos are insane. They love shit like Fallout 76.
seeing Anthem reminds me, I wonder how well The Division 2 will sell in Japan not that I like The Division much either, but it'd be stupid if it sells less than Anthem
William Wood
doesnt anthem have mechs and shit in it, maybe thats why it sort of sold alright in japan
Ryan Russell
Just got ReMake 2, Ace Combat 7, and Kingdom Hearts 3 all in one month. Also still winning. Cope.
Camden Gray
Eric, despite all those games the PS4 has only sold 287,170k to the Switches 651,586k this year. The Switch is even ahead of last year's Monster Hunter boost on nothing but a NSMBU port.
