What races do you usually prefer for each job?
halfing beard dude is cute
whichever lets me fondle Marcille's fat ears
One party I like to reuse in any game that lets me is something along the lines of:
Paladin as a tanky frontliner with some protective support skills,
Spellsword for strong elemental melee attacks for single target and splash damage
Hexer for debuffing and locking enemies down with some damage on the side
Support mage, usually pigeon-holed into priest or cleric, for healing and buffs.
Four is the ideal party size, but if a game makes me have a party of five the fifth slot is usually something like a wizard for aoe damage and utility spells, or a scout for dealing with traps and locks, Both if it's a game with six party members.
Usually I struggle with recreating one or more of these party members. Debuffers are kinda rare, and spellswords are often fucked up so I'd default it to barbarian or some other heavy-hitting two-handed fighter.
