Absolutely not.

People will give it a lot more credit then it deserves because it wasn't as awful as SuMo and LPGE like people were expecting.

Gen 7 was already one of the best
inb4 assblasted Unovabortions who can't handle cutscenes

I hope so, the main reason I bought a switch was to get back into it since I skipped sun and moon

I haven't cared about a pokemon game since XY, but if Masuda has any say in how the game is made it's going to be shit.

I'm extremely pessimistic, but there is a small ember of hope.

Fun fact! 18 year olds will have 2000 and 1999 birthdays therefore there will be people with 2002 - 2005 birthdays probably lurking too!

I really want the “queen/king” leaks to be true.

>most challenging mainline games
>best atmosphere
>best cast
>great pokemon variety
b-but muh cutscenes

You're retarded.

At least make it blurry and disoriented.

What time is the direct in burgerland?

Of course not, the series has been going down hill after gen 5.

>MFW the leaked starters were fake.

Damn I wanted a little Rambro to fuck shit up with.

>Challenging
Its not even harder than platinum
>Atmosphere
Nothing beats the rural japan atmosphere of Johto
>Best cast
You mean that Rival that sucks your dick? Or the basic cinnamon roll and her edgy brother? Or maybe the horribly predictable aether team? Team skull is cool though.
>Pokemon variety
Except for rehashing gen 1 mons with new types instead of making entirely new pokemon, sure.

S/M wasn't bad, it was just terribly mediocre.

What are you niggas expecting to see in the upcoming Direct? Besides disappointment.

I didn't like Gen 7 but USUM are the hardest games to date

After LGPE? God no.

nope.

I'm only interested if gen 8 is a megagame featuring every region.

that image gives me hope, it really does

>most challenging mainline games

"Hey guys, look, there's more Pokémon!! \('O')/"
Oh the variety!

If only that little baphomet lookin fucker and the Tardegrade Pokemon were real. Shit were good designs

Only if it has nidoking

Don't lie to yourself, the only things hard in Platinum were that Purugly near the beggining of the game and Cynthia, the rest was a cakewalk

Me too, if effort gamefreak has actually returned gen 8 just may be good

anons.....

Finally the Eeveelution the gay community have been waiting for

All I want is for a pokemon game to take advantage of the huge world and history it has. Create myths and legends and actually make them feel mysterious and alluring other than a fucking couple of lines in a book with no meaning.

Similar to the alph ruins, or the way you found the regis. You know that feeling of vagueness you got reading and watching hints on mew? That's the kinda shit I want.

Oh and a full 150 new pokemon. Don't be fucking lazy GF.

You sure underlined a bunch of stuff in that image and just randomly threw it all over, huh?

>the challenge of the game was minimal, even if you're talking about the Necrozma fight from USUM which was only truly hard if you had a terrible team composition (I only point this one out in particular since it's the one I see gone to for an argument the most, the totem Pokemon aren't difficult either)
>up for debate, the islands are nice but are much more linear than you'd think, with only a few neat explorable areas that open up later on. The fact that each island is segregated means that none of the level design can have routes that lead to old ones which allows a shortcut back to them, which makes their linear feel that much more obvious
>the cast consists of characters that are constantly jerking the main character off while the MC sits there with a blank expression on their face half the time, to the point where it feels like they shouldn't even be there. Your rival just keeps congratulating you every time you kick his ass, Gladion fights you then fucks off to do nothing, and Lillie, mostly in the first game, is the actual main character while you perform an escort mission for her. Lusamine and Guzma are fine, but the rest of their crew were just awful and unmemorable (Plumeria in Team Skull in particular has such little significance it feels like she shouldn't be there at all)
>lots of the new mons are rarer than they have any right to be. Dhelmise for example can only be caught in seafolk village, and many players will not even realize it's there because it has a 1% (5% in USUM) chance to show up, 10%(35%) if the water is bubbling. While Johto had mons like this as well, Alola really wanted to hide its own Pokemon and force out older gen mons like Fearow out for some reason

>bw2
>even remotely challenging

Totems are much harder than gyms ever were, there's not a single gym battle harder than the Akala Island totems and you can't convince me otherwise. Necrozma can also outright wall you if you don't know what's coming, you generally have to go out of your way to catch a Mimikyu if you want to go for the cheese strat.
>implying the cast hasn't jerked the MC off since Gen 3
>unironically complaining that certain pokemon are harder to find
git fucking gud
