Tbh You dont need a controller for persona 3 and 4. Just map the keys to something comfortable and in an hour you will forget you were not using a controller.

Nocturne is the only reason to play PS2. All the good PS2 games are also on PC or have superior ports on other systems like P4G on Vita and P3P on PSP.

Because I'm too lazy to rename the ~1300 PS2 games, extract and rename the ~1600 PS1 games, etc. etc. Maybe sometime on a pleasant, warm day off with nothing else to do I'll queue up an album or two and just sit there autistically renaming files for a few hours. But, for now, they stay messy.

It's a convenience factor at a certain point. I've got all my consoles hooked up to my lovely CRT downstairs, but I don't own every game physically to play on them. I've gotten a few solutions, like Everdrives, but you can't exactly do that for most disc-based systems. I'd much rather boot up nearly any Gamecube or Wii game in Dolphin rather than play it on my Wii, even though I could.

Some games look like absolute dick without upscaling. Play any Gen 6 or Gen 7 Pokemon game on Citra at 4K or even 1080. The experience is day and night.

true enough. I unironically loved playing Drakengard 1 (at least up until the grind for the true ending) so seeing that there was more Caim in the sequel was really cool even if the rest of the game was not
I've still got a PS2 hooked up right behind me. I'm just too much of a lazy fuck to buy real copies of everything.

Talking about OP emulator, does anybody know how do I play Samurai Warriors 2 Empires on it?
I am experiencing those issues:
>random chance of crashing when using true musou or co-op musou, sometimes instead all the map is stripped from textures
>in-battle(so not on any other screen) resolution sometimes lowers itself, does not affect HUD such as map, messages and HP/musou bar
>movies sometimes are fucked up
