Stay in one corner of the screen instead of strafing side to side during that part. You wont be hitting her half the time if you’re Marisa but it’s actually way safer. Lead all the bullets to one corner instead of filling the screen with them, then if it gets too hectic you’ve got wiggle room outside the corner. Or just bomb through if that’s the one part you can’t get down.

Her patterns are more memorization-based with a lot of static patterns, so by nature she's easier the more you practice, kinda like Reisen but not to such an extreme
Meanwhile both Patchy and Sakuya will happily kick a new players shit in over and over, Sakuya can drop your lives really fast if you don't know how to fight her.

It's also noted in IN's extra material that Eirin was "surprised" to see her, and other material has stated that while Sakuya looks like a young woman, her mannerisms indicate someone who has lived for much longer. These have lead some people to believe that Sakuya is a Lunarian. ZUN said that he would reveal Sakuya's origins someday, but that was over a decade ago so who knows.

Another point of interest is that Remilia has apparently offered to make Sakuya immortal by turning her into a vampire, but Sakuya declined.

I've said this before and I'll say it again.
If ZUN wanted Mima back, IN would have been the absolute perfect time to bring her back. PoDD had already established that the moon is important to Mima, so she'd actually have a reason to care about the incident in question, not to mention Marisa was the only human character without an obvious youkai partner. Alice feel like such an odd choice in retrospect, and she's the only youkai partner who isn't explicitly a final/extra boss she's only one if you count her PC98 appearance, but even then she appears first as a stage 3 boss..
Regardless, the fact that she didn't come back then makes it hard to believe that she ever will.

Hakurei Shrine Maiden is presumably a hereditary position seeing as how there were Hakurei Shrine Maidens before her. As for her family situation, a couple of lines in WaHH and CoLA imply that Reimu is an orphan or that her parents are generally not around anymore, unlike Marisa whose dad is around but is estranged.

I should also mention that I agree that the Touhou Wiki is definitely full of mistakes, for example stating that Yorihime and VIVIT are the only people to have defeated Reimu in canon when she's actually also lost to Suika, Tenshi, Kokoro and Okina.

It's pretty short (which kinda sucks) and it should take around 4-5 hours to finish it. It has metroidvania elements but they aren't really abundant. The music and spritework are really well done as you can see here in one of their trailers:

In that case it mostly depends on whose story mode you consider "canon" in each game, but it is true that Okina defeats whichever character you pick, and the EX stage is literally their salty runback.

Yamame is friendly enough but she kinda kills people just by being near her so you probably wouldn't want to be around her.
Meanwhile given how Parsee's existence is literally centered around feeling intense jealousy toward anything I doubt she's a very friendly person.

I remember the MP in stage 4 being in a small breakable wall in a long room with those big ass jumping dragons and for the HP it should be on one of those hidden 2 block high rooms on the right map I think. For the clock in stage 5 is at the very top right of the room with the broken stairs before the final boss.

When is Reimu's mom coming back to obliterate the Youkai pest?

I really like the bosses but yeah, graze is a bit too strong. I pretty much brute forced myself through the Flan fight because I could just regen so much whenever she shot her fireballs.
I do like the length though. It doesn't meander for the sake of padding the game and it all feels like a tighly crafted experience.
My only real issue is that I wish there was a way to charge time. So many platforming sections are dependant on stopping time that whenever you mess up it just ends up meaning you have to stand around and wait for half a minute. Though obviously put in some restriction so you can't use it during combat.

Well I was expecting solely mainline and fighting game touhou songs, but I should have been specific but whatever.

I think that all metroidvanias are short in the first place, other games like Koumajou Densetsu were even shorter
Hopefully it will get more replayability with the next updates

Koumajou Densetsu is obviously short because it's an oldschool castlevania game, those games are all super short and need difficulty to extend their play time.
Metroidvanias aren't short by default, Hollow Knight is 20 hours~ for first playthrough and 50+ if you want to go for all achievements.
Luna Nights is pretty linear for a metroidvania, the map is small and linear and you only have to backtrack to get a few optional items.

The LHS literally lets you completely ignore trying to damage anything and lets you simply focus on grazing to regenerate HP and mana. Also grazing regeneration is OP. I feel like the difficulty of the game would be greatly increased by not having grazing also heal you.

Try redoing it without secondary attacks at all then, Thousands Knives is also OP because it gives you an huge inv.frame and it lets you ignore the attacks without even dodging

Try not to die too much. Unlike most 2hus ten desires has very few extends. Panic bombing is encouraged especially since trance is loads of free bombs if you pop it early.

Make sure you have a full trance at the ready for when certain enemies drop loads of heart and bomb pieces. It is really important that you don't die for certain stretches of the game so you can exploit trance.

She isn't, lorewise the protagonist had less issues with Clownpiece than Sagume, Doremy, or the bunnies.
Clownpiece is extremely effective against lunarians though, because Junko basically purified her to be pure lifeforce (which from a Lunarian standpoint is pure impurity)

Fairies are basically an embodiment of Earth's impurity due to their nature as immortal nature spirits, which is extremely effective against Lunarians. Junko also used her powers to "purify" Clownpiece into a being of pure lifeforce, making her even more toxic to Lunarians to the point where they were planning on abandoning the moon. She was basically a walking Chernobyl to them.

Otherwise Clownpiece likely isn't that much stronger than any other fairy; someone's placement in a game does not necessarily reflect their power (for example Yuugi being introduced as a Stage 3 boss when she's at least on Suika's powerlevel)
