Goty awards were okay. Gow won because it was less of a joke than everything else. Games that came out last years are all generic shits.
For gow, though, at least it actually had a good combat system and game overall was pretty okay.

Last year single handedly restored my faith in the gaming industry with master pieces like GoW, Spider-Man and RDR2 raising the standards.
