So you're not able to finish that fight if you don't have a stereo TV? You're literally stuck and are unable to proceed if you have a mono TV and the game acknowledges that? Why do people defend this?

The lighting and the camera being from Snake's POV really made this scene a lot better in the original version. Liquid looking out over a dim, flaming expanse surrounded by smoke and talking about his ideal world was evocative of a dismal and bloodstained battlefield with Liquid gazing across the carnage. It also made him seem more superhuman and like he was indestructible through sheer force of will. The Twin Snakes made the scene far too drab and plain, making it a much less immersive experience. Also, MGS 1 Liquid spoke with a vibrance and flow that exuded determination and charisma, while TTS Liquid took literally twice as long to same the same speech and just came across as milquetoast and boring.
Also the MGS 1 boss fight was harder and Liquid wouldn't miss a spinning kick for two minutes on Extreme.
